Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 (8) vs GeForce
I dont think Ill be winning this time around, but its worth a try. Ill try and get some fast attacks in by slipping the blade under and tossing MDU away if I can. Otherwise just keep ramming and flipping and see what happens.
Fantastic battles once again, Richard!

Anything can happen, Andy. Even MDU isnt invincible. (nothing against Aaron :proud:)

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
MDU is old and resides as my coffee table right now. The change to the translational spinner was to get it back into the league of the 100kg limit and to be more effecient then the previous versions while gaining extra advantages of 360 straife/dodging. MDU 3.1 was kinda a back step in the Kjs, but an upstep in control and stability over the previous versions of MDU.
I had fun terrorising the vapourbot world with MDU and Im sure other people will agree, it certainly raised the bar for walkers and FBS designs.
But these days, Im more happy to just stick with things that are simple as spending over 35hrs designing a bot gives you no more of an advantage as over a bot designed in 30mins, as the writers get lost in the technical terms.
Oh, and for fighting GeForce, Ill be staying in lock down mode of 500rpm to combat his quick attacks. If he tries to ram me, Im going to straife sideways out of the road and attack him from behind/side (Nothing Suss!)
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
the problem with raising the bar for standards so much is now no one else can reach it, tengu is one of the most successful machines of all time, possessign approximatly a third of all titles ive recieved (meaning about 30 titles) but in capability it doesnt have anythign on mdu other than the innovation fo the spinner ring. The thign is we dont have the technical knowledge or the patince to get it for osmetihng which is essentially a hobby.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Also, MDU is the robot we can blame for the introduction of the 150 kg walking limit.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Actually, you can blame the people who bitched about walkers having 200kg and the writers for coinsiding with them. MDU never told anyone to go to 150kg for walkers
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
It didnt tell anyone, maybe because it doesnt have a brain to think on its own, or a mouth to say to people go to 150kg for walkers.

Sorry about the delay!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 certainly caused some pain in Round 1, but can it carry on against GeForce in Round 2?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
As Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 began to spin, GeForce came out quickly, but MDU 3.1 strafed to one side! Finding itself at GeForces side, it moved to strike, but GeForce spun round and MDU 3.1 hit the wedge before GeForce could use its flipper, sending the wedge robot spinning into the wall! Shuddering away from the blow, MDU 3.1 came back, spinning again, and again had to dodge GeForces advance, this time managing to glance the rear, spinning GeForce and allowing MDU 3.1 to attack again! But as it did, GeForce just managed to slip its blade under and flip! The flipper was bashed, but still sent the former champ flying away, coming down hard and bouncing into the east wall, coming to a stop! GeForce acclerated towards the stunned 8th seed, only for it to strafe again, get spinning and whack it right in the left side! Coming back in, MDU 3.1 took GeForce along the right side, denting the 8mm armour! The two robots charged at each other again, and GeForce swerved as MDU 3.1 strafed, to get under and flip again, while having its flipper dented!
Landing and getting back up to speed, MDU 3.1 moved back toward GeForce, who was coming for it! It strafed early to avoid any attacks from GeForce, then backed up into its opponents left side, before rushing in again to hit the side again as GeForce turned! On its next attack, MDU 3.1 was forced to strafe to avoid being flipped, then came back and just managed to glance the right side, although that took it into the wall, with a bang! GeForce spun away, and both robots came rushing to meet it each other! GeForce managed to catch MDU 3.1 again and flip it as it was spun off, almost hitting the arena disc! Its flipper was now a bit battered, but still going! There was another charge of the two robots, GeForce running past MDU 3.1 as it strafed, to get a nice bang in the backside! It was spun against the wall, so MDU 3.1 could mash its right side! As GeForce recovered and came in again, MDU 3.1 managed to do another dodge and hit the right side again!
A moment later, GeForce was hit again on the right by the 8th seed, the armour there now ripped! Still going, it went for MDU 3.1 and just got in a flip as MDU 3.1 hit it again, tipping the 8th seed onto its side and making it do a bouncing roll along the floor! With this blow, GeForces flipper seemed to give up, and as it retracted, it did so slowly! MDU 3.1 attacked again - GeForce managed to catch it on the wedge, but the damaged flipper came up too slowly to overturn MDU 3.1, and it bounced away! Both robots came together again, MDU 3.1 landing another punch on the right side, sending forces shuddering into the insides and leaving GeForce slowed on the right side! The unseeded robot struggled to attack MDU 3.1 again, but was just hit on the split side again, and was now left motionless! Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 did a spin for the audience in the arena centre, as the body of GeForce waited for the countdown to end!
CEASE!
MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!
Hypertension Mk2 and No Close Shave 2 will now fight for the second place in the Heat M Final!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Hypertension Mk2 had the faster start, using its superior speed to spin round and ram No Close Shave 2 in the side, then chuck it away with its flipper! Landing on its side, NCS2 began using its wings to selfright, but not fast enough to avoid Hypertension Mk2 ramming its underbelly and flipping it again! NCS2 now landed on its back, balancing on the claw for a moment before coming down, allowing a third attack from the 24th seed! This flip caused NCS2 to go bang against the wall and bounce off, onto Hypertension Mk2s back and off, landing on its side again! Relentless, Hypertension Mk2 reversed to ram NCS2 into the east wall as it was selfrighting, but this pushed NCS2 off the seeded robot and back onto its wheels! It turned round to attack, but Hypertension Mk2 moved and the two robots turned around each other. Quickly, Hypertension Mk2 got under No Close Shave 2 again, turning it into the wall - a flip made NCS2 go straight up, landing on its wheels on Hypertension Mk2s body, and starting to roll off, but becoming stranded on the side! Turning around so NCS2 ended up on its flipper, Hypertension Mk2 tossed it into the north wall, leaving NCS2 on its side against the wall! Before it could selfright, Hypertension Mk2 had rammed it again, then pushed it round into the pit release, then around again to flip it into the pit! No Close Shave 2 hit the wall, bounced on the edge, teetered, then fell in!

How come my vapourbots never make it to the Heat Final?
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
OK. Im hoping that the Hardox will stand up to a few hits, which should make the rest of the job that little bit easier. If I slide underneath the frame before it spins up to full speed, I can launch it and hopefully break the body through sheer force. If they dont break after falling down, then they should at least have had the weapon slow down, so Ill slide underneath and pit him.
People may be surprised, but Im actually feeling pretty confident.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Finally a battle that showed the full extent of the straifing ability :) W00t!
For against Hypertension, Im going to raise the RPM level to 1000rpm and will keep straifing out of his way, making him crash into the wall and not hitting me. The idea here will be to dodge/straife to the side, allowing him to half pass me and then slash the sides throwning us apart and letting me maintain full RPM. If i can dodge long enough, Im going to let it get up into OVERDRIVE mode for maximum damage. I dont see him box rushing me in time as for him to traverse a minimum of 4m will take him at least 1sec which is enough time for me to be already cruising at 500rpm, which is plenty of speed to knock an opponent away and let me get up into the peak RPM levels. Having blades only 20mm from the floor helps me catch any wedges before they can get under, so no flipping should happen, if by some fluke chance I get flipped, Im not concerned as Im invertible.
Will be interesting this battle.

Once again, the heat final is seeded robot territory? But which seeded robot is about to become a semifinalist - Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 or Hypertension Mk2?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 again started spinning, while Hypertension Mk2 barreled towards it! The former champion strafed, but still glanced the front of Hypertension Mk2, sending it spinning to one side! Hypertension reversed straight towards MDU3.1, only to go straight past another strafe! MDU3.1 came towards Hypertension, but had to dodge again when the 24th seed looked ready to use its flipper - unfortunately, Hypertension caught up as it did so, the blades on MDU3.1 hitting the flipper as it fired! As Hypertension Mk2 skimmed away, the 8th seed flew upward, bouncing on its side as it came down and almost hitting the wall! Inverted, it spun up and dodged the charging Hypertension again, causing it to go smash into the wall, so it could have its right side assaulted! MDU3.1 dodged the flipper and hit the right side again, knocking Hypertension Mk2 against the wall again, and glancing its rear as it escaped! Hypertension spun around, while MDU3.1 was reversing away, and charged, but missed again as MDU3.1 strafed, then had a blow in the left side! Escaping MDU3.1s attack, Hypertension Mk2 swerved round again and managed to use its flipper again, spinning itself off but causing MDU3.1 to bounce off the floor, into the wall, back to the floor and away!
Hypertension Mk2 followed it, but MDU3.1 eventually landed, strafed the attack and began spinning again, striking a glancing blow on Hypertensions rear to add insult to injury! Cornering Hypertension over the closed pit, MDU3.1 mashed it again, denting the Hardox! Managing to escape with another brief touch on its rear, Hypertension Mk2 rushed at MDU3.1 as it was close to the wall and gave it another ram, missing the flip but causing MDU3.1 to hit the west wall and skim across the floor! Spun against the wall, Hypertension recovered and went after MDU3.1. Again, MDU3.1 was spinning just enough to knock it, but not before Hypertension had flipped! Hitting the wall, MDU3.1 came down on its side, and settled onto its wheels, strafing Hypertension Mk2 again, and hitting it as it reversed! Unfortunately, it was still close to the wall, and Hypertension rammed it in, causing the 8th seed to bounce off after the already spinning 24th seed! Spinning again, MDU3.1 missed hitting Hypertension Mk2 on the rear, and ran away from the wall while Hypertension chased it! Strafing, MDU3.1 whacked Hypertension on the side once again, chased it as it spun, but ended up meeting the flipper! Hypertension was spun into a corner and couldnt follow MDU3.1 as it bounced away again!
The two robots came towards each other quickly again, MDU3.1 again dodging and slicing Hypertension Mk2 along the side, but the Hardox armour still held up, while Hypertension went head first into the wall and MDU3.1 could hit it again! Backing up, Hypertension missed MDU3.1 as it dodged again, but was hit on the rear again, and then glanced on the side! The 24th seed backed up again and came in more carefully, following MDU3.1 as it strafed and getting in another flip, sending the 8th seed away across the floor! MDU3.1 bounced against the floor and glanced the west wall, slowing the spinner, and finally Hypertension Mk2 managed to follow and catch it! It immediately turned MDU3.1 around, rammed it against the pit release, and a moment later, Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 was denied a reclaiming of the title as it was consigned to the pit! Despite the pummeling it received, Hypertension Mk2s valiant efforts had paid off!

Next time on VFT6, sixth seed SD IV will try to make life saw for Aces & Eights, Scimiter and Supernova!
And 22nd seed Dervish V/ will try to be a whirling dervish against Mega Masher 2, Total Bast**d and Wind Chiller!
Scott, can I have the stats for Total B*****d please?

Another shockaroonie courtesy of Mr S!
HEAT N
1) Aces and Eights VS SD IV (6) VS Scimitar VS Supernova
A&E and Supah both share high ground clearances, so these two will be the saws targets in this particular clash. Avoid Scimitar to be double-extra-super-safety sure
2) Dervish // (22) VS Mega Masher 2 VS Total B*****d VS Wind Chiller
Cant say much without Total Bassas stats, but Im certain that Private Sticklers spinner will prevail reguardless :)

Fancy a team-up, Steve? Aces and 8s has exposed wheels IIRC so you can slice them up nicely while I can get under SuperNova fairly easily and safely thanks to the long blade. Ill first prop it up, then lift it over and might be able to do some nice damage to the light looking armour for a quick kill, then help Steve finish off the battlebot if needed.

Wind Chillers Tactics:
Team Up with Total B*****d. Ill go after Mega Masher 2, and quickly pit it without being damaged too much, then Scotts machine can go after Dervish \/ /, and it should be able to rip it up pretty badly, and once Dannys machine is beaten, Ill send DV/ straight down the pit. This should hopefully work, if my tactics go according to plan. :)

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
*throws a pint in Mattys face to wake him up*
Welcome to VFT6 - last heat, we got a shock when two time champ Mass Disctruction Ultimate was taken out in the heat final! Weve only three heats left - is there any more room for shocks like that? Perhaps in Heat N!
Sixth seed SD IV is a veteran of VFT, having come second in VFT1 and certainly not doing badly in the last one, making it to the top 8 and letting Ramthrax, Disco 5 and NSBFR taste its saw, before coming undone as Monsoons Back slammed it down the pit! Pretty much unchanged since last time, SD IV is an invertable box with rounded sides and a triangular rear like Tornado, and its weapon is a saw that runs close to the ground, and specialises in slicing skirts and tyres! It can push as well as Tornado, and has 4mm Hardox for those troublesome spinners, but any flippers that can surpass its skirts will find a high ground clearance waiting for them!
22nd seed Dervish V/ had a good debut in VFT5 when it reached its heat final - there, WX 5.0 shoved it around and although Dervish did damage, it didnt win the 32-28 decision! This robot is still a Barberous-like invertable cylinder, with the middle spinning at 2500rpm, and studded with carbon and titanium blades to painfully mash any armour it comes into contact with! Its very fast at 18mph, and very manouverable too, but its exposed wheels could serve as spinner magnets!
Aces & Eights competed in one previous VFT, VFT3, but didnt exactly make a spectacular debut - it was eliminated by Firestorm IV and SMIDSY in Round 1! Back to try again, this invertable robot is a simple push-and-shove rammer, out to ram opponents into submission! Its named after the hand of cards Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot dead - hopefully Aces & Eights wont suffer the same fate today!
Mega Masher 2 plans to do what it says on the tin to anyone in its way - its almost a reversed Minion, with a wedge at the front and a vertical spinning disc at the back, and a srimech across the top for those inverted situations, although unlike Minion, it can run upside down too! Fast at 20mph, and good 5mm titanium armour, but the sides arent skirted - will Mega Masher 2 take a mega mashing?
Scimiter is a barrel with a wedge at the front, designed to roll over if flipped! Its weapon is a two stage lifter at the front - a blade on the wedge can lift and prop opponents, but also a lifting wedge can tip them over hydraulically, and act as a crusher too! While you cant trap it against a wall, Scimiter isnt that quick at 12mph, and may have problems with invertable robots!
Supernova has been in three VFTs, going out in Round 1 in its first two, but making it to Round 2 in VFT5 where it met a quick death at the hands of Whirligig 3.0! This invertable robot attacks simply with a big horizontal spinning disc at the front, which has proven that it can deal out damage, having slashed Sir Killalots treads (with a rear push from Storm 2, to be fair)! Unfortunately, that disc can sometimes be too powerful, and knock Supernova out! Will this star explode, or carry on burning?
Total B*****d will need more than an offensive name to win fights, and it comes equipped to rack up victories! This dome shaped robot is a full body spinner with interchangable shells - a ripping shell for damaging, and a dead zero shell for flipping brick robots! TB also has a direction cam on top which works as a srimech, but its not a good pusher if the shell ever stops, and it only moves at 8mph!
And Wind Chiller could send a chill up opponents spines with its wedge shape and front hinged flipper, as well as a titanium strip to hopefully guarantee that other robots go up the wedge and receive a flipping! Its skirted at the sides and back, but with a 2 wheel drive, it loses points on pushing power and traction!
A Vapour and realie combo to start off the melees - SD IV, Aces & Eights, Scimiter and Supernova!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
SD IV moved towards Aces & Eights, who aimed itself at Supernova, as did Scimiter! Outrunning Scimiter to Supernova, Aces & Eights hit the side and shoved, but Supernova turned and glanced its front, allowing it to fly off! A moment later, A&E was rudely interrupted by SD IV sliding under it and pushing past Scimiter to pin it against the wall and saw the front left wheel! Scimiter and Supernova advanced and collided with each other, the blade of Scimiter taking a scratch! Chasing Supernova, Scimiter managed to catch it side on and lift, making a scratch in the underbelly! It then used the wedge to overturn Supernova so its disc hit the floor and it ran along on its side for a moment before settling, while Scimiter attacked from behind and lifted it up to make it bounce again! Meanwhile, Aces & Eights had used its large wheels to wriggle away from SD IV, but had taken some damage as well! Running away from the 6th seed, the battlebot chased Scimiter and Supernova towards the south, where Supernova had managed to whack Scimiter in the side! Aces & Eights followed Supernova where it had flown, close to the arena disc, and gave it that extra shove! Off Supernova flew, its rear slashed, and with no more movement in its wheels!
Unfortunately, Aces & Eights tasted the arena disc itself, as SD IV attacked from the rear! It ricocheted off towards Scimiter, who quickly caught A&E on its wedge and propped it against the wall! However, A&E was able to drive along the wall, until it hit the corner and came down! But it couldnt escape being cornered by SD IV, who crammed it into the corner and sawed at another wheel, while Scimiter was forced to wait, shifting to show it wasnt immobile! After dealing some damage to the wheel, SD IVs saw slowed and it had to back off, making room for Scimiter, but Aces & Eights legged it and turned around towards SD IV, managing to catch it side on and ram it into the corner! But this exposed it to Scimiter, who just propped it against the wall again and freed the 6th seed! SD IV managed to nick A&E before it drove off on its side again - the rammer ended up hitting the arena disc, which brought it back down! It managed to ram SD IV again, shoving it into Scimiter and against the wall, but being forced to reverse away as Scimiter attacked! A&E shoved Scimiter out of the way, but that gave SD IV time to attack it from the front, grazing the wheel before A&E got out of danger! SD IV and Aces & Eights now turned around in a circle, trying to catch each other - Scimiter broke the stalemate by ramming the American robot and carrying it away towards the pit, while SD IV dutifully went for the release! Soon, Aces & Eights was lying in the open pit!
CEASE!
Aces & Eights and Supernova are eliminated!
SD IV AND SCIMITER GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!
Threatening names in Melee 2 - Dervish V/, Mega Masher 2, Total B*****d and Wind Chiller!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Dervish V/ began spinning and wheeled towards Wind Chiller, who aimed at Mega Masher 2, who quickly ran towards the also spinning Total B*****d! The first impact was between Mega Masher 2 and TB, which sent both robots ricocheting away from each other! As Wind Chiller moved in on Mega Masher 2, Dervish V/ caught up with it and whacked it in the rear corner, tilting it, so another blow overturned it and slashed the aluminium! As Wind Chiller began selfrighting, it took another blow from Dervish V/ which hit the open flipper, damaging but not quite disabling it, and sending it tumbling onto its wheels! Unfortunately, it still couldnt reach Mega Masher 2, who quickly rammed TB with its wedge again, receiving a dent in its titanium but sending TB into the wall! Dervish V/ chased down the attacking Wind Chiller again and tilted it with a side assault, sending it onto its back again with another, then propping it against the wall with a third blow, leaving it helpless! Meanwhile, Mega Masher 2 chased TB, who had got spinning again, and now hit with its rear disc, which caused both robots to fly away again, TB hitting the wall again and being slowed, allowing Mega Masher 2 to follow!
Mega Masher 2 was again ricocheted off Total B*****d as it attacked, but came back in on the slowed spinner just as Dervish V/ came in and hit them both, almost overturning Mega Masher 2 and tilting TB so it bounced off the wall and back into Dervish V/, causing it to turn over! Before TB could overturn itself with its direction cam, Mega Masher 2 came under it! Unfortunately, it had barely moved before Dervish V/ struck again, tilting MM2 and causing TB to come down! Mega Masher 2 soon had its wheels back on the ground however, and managed to outpace Dervish V/, get back under the just spinning TB and ram it towards the pit release! As Mega Masher 2 sent Total B*****d to its doom, the survivors were informed that Wind Chiller needed to be freed from its resting place on the wall! Dervish V/ went to do the honours, hitting Wind Chiller so it came down on its back! Another blow as it was slowly selfrighting brought it to the edge of the open pit, so it just needed (but got more than) a nudge to send it away!
CEASE!
Total B*****d and Wind Chiller are eliminated!

SD IV (6) vs Mega Masher 2 - Yet another heat final for Steves wheel worrier, I do believe:)
Dervish V/ (22) vs Scimiter
...This is my karma for making The Disc isnt it:lame: Lifting and propping modes will be worthless against Dervish, so Ill lift up the lifter and go into crusher mode before the fight even begins. Technically its an interchangeable weapon so it should be allowed:proud: From there I see two game plans:
1) Box rush Dervish. With the lifter safely raised above where Dervish can strike, I can use the 4 mm hardox armour to stall the spinner, then lower the lifter to grapple Dervish and keep it stalled while I either shove it into the arena disc or try to pit it. Dumping it on the pit, releasing it then very quickly reversing into the pit release should be good for this.
2) Dervishs stats say the wheels are based around Stnger, meaning two tyres I should be able to slip the crusher in between to grapple and damage, and hopefully immobilise the wheels.
Failing all that, just keep pushing it into the disc and try to pit it.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
2 mil ground clearance on Mega Masher 2, I see. Lovely. :proud:
Usual tictacs for SD in Round 2 - get under wherever I can and feast upon the tyres. Failing that, slip under with the saw or rear skirt and use the nifty traction to cast it to the Pit
Wooty stuff as ever, Richie :)

Steve I know this sounds complex, but how thick is the saw on SD IV?
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
IIRC, I think the saws meant to be around 2.5 to 3mm thick. But the good thing is if an opponents GC is lower than that, I can just keep nibbling away at the armoring until a sufficient gap is opened up by the disc to let it slip under :proud:
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
...You mean nibble away at the entire base panel?
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Or you could just ram at it very hard to get the saw underneath it, by lifting it up a bit.
But maybe the saw wouldnt last that long.

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Round 2 comes along again, with SD IV and Mega Masher 2 going head to head!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
The fight began with the usual run to the centre and attempt to reach each others sides, and it was Mega Masher 2 who won out in the brief dance! SD IV found itself being given a good shove, in a curved path so they glanced the wall, but Mega Masher 2 was able to keep pushing, until they came into the east wall! Mega Masher 2 swerved off to try and ram SD IV into the pit release, but found the 6th seed going for the sides! It managed to dodge the assault, and reach SD IVs side again, while taking a glance from the saw! MM2 shoved its victim along once again until they were against the north wall! This time, when Mega Masher 2 released it and SD IV tried to attack, it was in the perfect position to be rammed in a path to the pit release! Turning SD IV around in the corner, Mega Masher 2 tried to take it around to the now open pit, but they hit the west wall! SD IVs saw glanced the wall, making it bounce, but Mega Masher 2 caught it with the wedge again and pinned it against the wall!
Unfortunately, as Mega Masher 2 was trying to turn SD IV towards the pit, the hole closed! Mega Masher 2 immediately reversed back towards the release, while SD IV came cautiously after it. The two robots then ran towards each other, swerving before the collision, and again Mega Masher 2 was at SD IVs side! It rammed SD IV into the pit release corner, and again the saw sliced the wall and deflected SD IV, but in just the right position for Mega Masher 2 to drive it to the pit! They ended up over the edge, but Mega Masher 2 turned so its wedge nudged SD IV into a fatal position that sent it toppling! The sixth seed was no more!
CEASE!
MEGA MASHER 2 GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!
Dervish V/ and Scimiter are now put in the arena together, but which one will come out alive?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Scimiter, with its hydraulic lifter up, immediately rushed at the 22nd seed, causing Dervish V/ to back off so it could get spinning! They met with a crash, Dervish V/s spinner meeting the inside of the wedge so Scimiter was knocked up and took Dervish with it! Scimiter began bringing the lifter down, but it hit the spinner again, knocking Scimiter again so Dervish V/ could wheel out of its grip and reverse away to spin itself up! Undeterred, Scimiter came running at it again, but this time Dervish V/ turned into it, so Scimiter received a punishing smack in the side, almost going over! Another whack from Dervish V/ smashed the polycarb base and sent it rolling, but Dervish hit it again before it could go back onto its wheels of its own accord, and then again, rolling it towards the wall! Scimiter quickly began sliding down the wall, only for Dervish to knock it up again, leaving it on its back! Scimiter used its lifter to turn itself over, but Dervish just turned into the lifter to try and damage it - the lifters survived, and Scimiter was back on terra firma! It immediately turned to attack Dervish V/, and the 22nd seed came to greet it, managing to land a side shot again! Scimiter rolled over just enough for the Hardox to shield the base as another strike from Dervish V/ sent it onto its wheels again!
Dervish V/ caught up with Scimiter as it was turning around to attack again, and glanced the rear, knocking it up a little and allowing Dervish to get in a proper blow which exposed the baseplate, which was ruthlessly bashed a moment later by the spinning drum, causing Scimiter to land on its back again! Dervish V/ again had to hit the Hardox of Scimiter and roll it onto its wheels - again it glanced Scimiter as it got moving, causing it to slowly go up but not quite over! The polycarb base was again assaulted by Dervish V/, cracking it and causing fatal damage to the sweet innards within! Once another smash from the 22nd seed had brough Scimiter to its wheels again, it was clear the barrel shaped robot was going nowhere, allowing for a victory spin from Dervish V/ during the countdown!
