2009 Fighting Robots FW UK Championships hosted by Robo Chal

Thanks just need to let Alexs fan club (friends,teachers,classmates etc) know what time to turn up, ie before he starts his flying lessons courtesy of MMM & Beauty 2

if u win u get 3 points 2 then 1 i expaect

if the last round theres only 2 bots in then is it 3 then 2 points ??? need to know for tactics hehehe

Grant/James for pitys sake Trojan was the only robot that i was genuinely looking forward to fighting from my draw. Please no more spinners please please. Let Block of Wood enter or any other Rambot.:uhoh:

I am very pleased to say we have finally finished the trophy that we will be donating to the FRA for the Featherweight UK Championships. The unique trophy is produced from aluminium with a wooden base. The trophy has been anodized and the names of every winner since robot wars started are engraved on it. The rings that go around the centre cup are coated in 23.5k gold leaf. As you can imagine a lot of time and money have gone into this so please look after it. Yeah sorry for my last minute pull out. Sent an email to the organizers this morning.
Was decided 10 minutes before I was on the phone with Weston.
I play field Hockey and our veteran defender has broken his thumb in two places after a game on Saturday.
Yesterday the captain of the team came up to me and asked (well pleaded) if I could play this weekends games as we are facing off against our big rivals Scunthorpe 1sts. I play in defense and currently the most experienced defender on the team. They are currently at the top of the league and we are second. If we beat them then we are top of the league and have a good chance of promotion. If we loose we come very close to third and could potentially be still be in the same division next season.
I usually bail out of hockey when the robots come to play but now I think its time I give a little back and pull out of robots for an important hockey event.
I am a bit gutted as I enjoyed the last champs and I hope to be at the next one.

Hey, The savage listed is supposed to be a 6wd FP 4-bar flipper robot(like Ziggy), But due to some problems that alot of you know about that version of Savage will not see the robot arena this year, So there will be another robot taking its place. What that robot will be im unsure at the moment. Might be a simple rambot or a thwack bot or maybe even a spinner...You was looking forward to seeing another spinner enter wasnt you Clive? :p Guess we will have to see what i turn up with on the day.How accurate are the scales? Think i could pass maxus off as a feather? Its smaller than Hooligan. Well Hooligan nearly weighs as much as maxus at the moment lol. Hooligans on a diet so should be able to lose a bit of that weight.

The only prob with Dragonstrike is that it works great till you put it in a arena then it gets stage fright and refuses to work

its a real shame cos prodigy is working great

John - thats no problem at all, i didnt notice that to be honest. how long do you need? i can put your first fight at the very beggining of that show and your second at the very end of it?

Ive noticed another 1 or two that could do with a swap round, such as the LS3 fights in show 3. I will re-arange them slightly to people abit more time to charge/repair etc. A revised timetable will shown at the event. So, if you have any problems with your robots battle being too close, let me know and ill try and sort it out.

Were now planning on bringing Bullseye along too, just for some whiteboards if thats ok? Hope its not a problem but just want to check
