Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Gasp!
Excellent fights, Liam, even more so because I won! :proud: (Seriously, amazing fights - you are becoming a very good writer!)
Tactacs... or Tictics
Basically act like Stinger and be annoying as heck! Spin around when one of the machines comes near me and thwack the sides and top of each opponent. Ill ignore Kodys machine because its being operated by Kody and focus the attacks on Drum Boy. :proud:
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
I wont wait until I know what Under Pressure is, because Id like to team with it against Leprosy...tactics are to generally crush it and assist in getting it down the pit.
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
In that case, focus all my attacks on Sonic Boom and be annoying as hell. :proud:
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Lovely.... :lame:
The only way I could attack is to rip the axe clean off sonic boom... and team up with kody... if he desires.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Welcome now to the final heat of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged. Tonight sees the 16th semi-finalist join the great ranks and then we will find out who faces who in the semi-finals.
Nidhogg (2) v Leprosy Infection v Under Pressure
Drum Boy v Envy v Sonic Boom
Eliminator 1
Created and entered by Joey McConnell, seeded #2, Nidhogg!
This Lightning (from RW7) shaped wedge has front lifting forks powered by an S28-150 motor and a hydraulic crusher with self-righting spines. It has been redone since its success last season and is ready to repeat that success and maybe even go one better this season with new LEMs in the drive being one new factor of an improved machine.
In RS!!1: Lifted and crushed The Curse in the eliminator to go through and meet the pair of wedges that were Frank Goacher€™s Doorstops in round 2. The wedges were lifted and pitted and Nidhogg met WORCK in the heat final, who had defeated it previously in another tournament. However Nidhogg gained sweet, sweet revenge and pitted WORCK in order to move onto the tournament finals. There it met Seung Mina IV, and was surely the underdog. But Joey didn€™t let that bother him and did what Nidhogg does best- lift and pit. The semi-finals saw an even tougher match and Supreme Glory Omega whacked Nidhogg repeatedly with the powerful axe, but Joey came back and won the match to earn his place in the final, and it was here that Nidhogg€™s comparatively slow self-righting let it down, allowing Wedge Devolution to flip it all over the arena and take the title.
Created and entered by Christopher Mason, Leprosy Infection!
This robot may not be very original, but it does have some success behind it. It is an invertible four wheel drive and a powerful spinning drum at the front to chew away at opponents armour as well as flip them about.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Martijn M Benschop, Under Pressure!
An entirely new robot from our very own flying Dutchman, this Tough as Nails-esque machine has some power behind it. However Tough as Nails bowed out of the last heat in the second round, will Under Pressure follow in the footsteps of its realie counterpart or put the other robots under pressure?

Another three robots are in the coliseum as the penultimate eliminator of this season gets underway, with the newcomers Under Pressure and Leprosy Infection heading straight for each other, and Leprosy drives straight into the open claws of Under Pressure, hoping to hit the middle body and flip it before the claws can come into play, but Martijn reverses a little to give them time and immediately we see how crucial those wedges are to Under Pressure€™s success as they get breach the side skirts of Leprosy Infection and the claws come into play on the side panels, making small but strong perforations into the armour. And with Leprosy Infection caught in this vice-like grip Nidhogg just looks on, contemplating Under Pressure€™s performance. And with Leprosy Infection well and truly stuck the second seed heads over to the pit release button to allow Martijn to finish the job, and he obliges by heading over to the chasm and holding Leprosy Infection over the abyss while he pulls out those hydraulic claws and dumps Leprosy Infection into the pit and out of the contest in just 11 seconds!
CEASE!
Leprosy Infection is infected; Nidhogg (2) and Under Pressure go through to round 2!
Eliminator 2
Created and entered by Samuel Park, Drum Boy!
Very similar to Dervish V, the winner of the last heat this full body drum owes a lot to the realie Barberous 2 €˜n€™ a bit. Flipping it does nothing and the weaponry is powerful, but can it drum up a rhythm or is Drum Boy out of tune?
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Built by Team BUD, entered by Kody Kunz, Envy!
This realie has a low pressure 10 bar front hinged flipper with a hardox and aluminium top panel. The 10mm titanium front scoop should help to get under the other robots and toss them about, but the question is will Envy be left envying its vapour bot opponents?
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Daniel Stickler, Sonic Boom!
This Stinger-style axlebot has a momentum powered pickaxe between the wheels and can deliver some pretty meaty hits. However the wheels are exposed and it will be pretty tricky to control, so look out for some Stinger-style spins.
In RS!!1: Met The May Tracks Has You in round 1 and was flipped out of the arena.

SMASH!!
The final eliminator you people will read in this season of Robot SMASH!! is finally underway after so many eliminators that came before it, and straight away Envy is the quickest robot off the mark, heading straight for Sonic Boom, scooping up and flipping forwards, away from its wedge shaped body. Daniel swings the axe over though and latches onto the open flipper of Envy, now pulling Kody€™s realie entry across the arena! And now all of a sudden in comes Drum Boy, the weaponry spinning at full speed and Samuel hits into the side of Sonic Boom, severing Sonic Boom€™s vice grip on Envy and rolling it away across the arena. Envy follows in order to help Drum Boy and gets underneath Sonic Boom again, this time ramming it into the corner and onto the killsaws! BZZT! Sonic Boom is spun around and as it does so it slams into the side of Drum Boy, knocking Samuel sideways into the arena wall with a CRASH! The wall and Drum Boy both seem to be OK though, and Kody goes on the attack again, getting in underneath Sonic Boom and regardless of the axe blows pushes it into the pit release button! Drum Boy now comes in on another rampaging attack and slams into Sonic Boom, throwing it up into the air and slicing one of the tyres as it does so! But now the drum has stopped and Sonic Boom turns on Drum Boy as Daniel has been trying to in this bout and whacks it with a powerful overhead blow, stopping Drum Boy€™s weaponry from getting back up to speed. And now in comes Envy again, running in underneath Sonic Boom and using the flipper to topple it onto the wheel hub, which spins it around in a rather crazy manner, causing Sonic Boom to fall back onto its wheels. But the tyre damaged by Drum Boy is really getting Daniel€™s axlebot down and he limps after Drum Boy to try another onslaught, but Samuel has the body up to speed again and comes in on the attack again, driving in underneath Sonic Boom and throwing it over backwards as Daniel stops the motor and activates the axe just a second too late as it swings down onto the floor of the arena before Envy drives in underneath it and drives Sonic Boom across the arena and into the corner where it is again hit by the killsaws, which come up and throw it skyward in an explosion of sparks! Envy runs in again and scoops it up to come around and push it towards the chasm! But not this time, as Daniel drives up and over the front wedge of Envy and Kody fires the flipper just a bit too late to halt Sonic Boom€™s escape, but Daniel has forgotten about Drum Boy who comes in on the attack and attacks the already damaged tyre, ripping it clean off! And that has really hurt the manoeuvrability of Sonic Boom, who is now vulnerable to an attack from Envy, who obliges by driving that 10mm titanium front scoop in underneath Sonic Boom and delivers the final, but very necessary shove to end Sonic Boom€™s run in this second season of Robot SMASH!!
CEASE!
Sonic Boom goes boom; Envy and Drum Boy go through to round 2!
Round 2 Draw:
Nidhogg (2) v Drum Boy
Envy v Under Pressure
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Tactics: Box rush Drum Boy and close the claw on the drum so it cant spin up - the weapon and armour should be able to take the initial impact if it has spun up at all before I get there, or if it gets free somehow. From there, take it to the pit release button and then stick it down there.

w00t :proud:
Nidhogg (2) vs. Drum Boy
Nidhogg to win easily.
Envy vs. Under Pressure
Bugger. Try and flip it, then get around to the back if I do and push it into the pit. OOTA is definitely not an option. Avoid that front like the plague (meaning: try and manoeuvre around so he turns a little too much, then dart over to the outside of the claw then flip. :proud:)

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Well, if ur gonna avoid my front, Im gonna avoid ur flipper! ha!
Clamp and pit is all I can say, clamping it would give me complete control, that is, if I can clamp him BEFORE he can flip me. Even if he flips me though I can still press my then inverted wedges against his body with 3.5 tonnes of force, either way I wish to pit Envy asap, lol, good luck Kody.
EDIT, you can check my latest creation in the How to Improve topic Paul:proud:

Never allow for a chance for Nidhogg to attack, and be all over him like a bunch of termites. AVOID THE FRONT LIKE MAD, and just go for the back, until hes destroyed, pitted, or out. ^_^

SMASH!!
Nidhogg is the seeded robot in this round and proves that from the off, getting into this match very quickly and skidding stylishly around to the side of Drum Boy in an attempt to get those magmotor driven lifting forks into play under the side of Drum Boy, but Samuel turns and the two meet head on, with Drum Boy getting the better of last season€™s runner-up and overturning it, and in doing so Drum Boy pushes Nidhogg up and over backwards before Joey crashes back down onto the ground and his wheels with a CRASH! But now Drum Boy is right in front of him and Joey doesn€™t hesitate to drive straight in underneath and lift it slightly into the air before the crusher comes down, biting onto the armour of Drum Boy and holding it in place, albeit a little wobbly as Nidhogg heads across to the pit release button and hits it, activating both the siren and the pit€™s descent. However the impact against the release button knocks Samuel€™s full body drum free of Nidhogg€™s grasp and happy to come around on an attack, this time hitting the side of Nidhogg and ripping off a few self-righting spines as it does so, rolling Nidhogg against the arena wall! And all of a sudden this looks a lot like the final of last season, and the way in which Nidhogg met it€™s end, but not this time as only the spines on one side are damaged and luckily for Joey it€™s not the side Nidhogg is resting on right now, so in comparatively slow time Nidhogg is back on its wheels and on the attack, once again getting those front forks under Drum Boy and lifting it, but this time Joey slams Drum Boy into the arena wall to hold it securely in place while the crusher comes down, biting onto the armour of Drum Boy and guaranteeing that it isn€™t going anywhere unless Nidhogg says so! And with Samuel in this vice-like grip Joey turns to the pit in order to prove to the screaming fans why he€™s the second seed, and how he got to the finals last time around, and he repeats his famous party-trick again, holding the terrified Drum Boy over the pit for a full second before lowering the forks and raising the crusher to let Drum Boy topple into the pit in a puff of smoke and in that puff of smoke ends Drum Boy€™s campaign to be the winner of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged.
CEASE!
Drum Boy is out of tune; Nidhogg (2) heads through to the heat final.

SMASH!!
The realie entry from Kody Kunz and Martijn€™s brand new vapour both get off to a speedy start at the beginning of this bout, with Envy driving towards Under Pressure and trying to sneak around to the side where it can throw the TAN-style robot around, but Martijn turns to meet him, claws open wide menacingly. Envy reverses away a little bit before trying again, and this time Kody semi-succeeds, as he doesn€™t quite manage to get the full robot underneath, but the corner of the wedge and the left claw of Under Pressure rides up Envy€™s wedge, with Kody turning now to get the flipper underneath as he rams Martijn into the corner and fires the flipper, toppling the white pair of claws up and over onto the killsaws! BZZT! Under Pressure is flipped back over onto the wedge of Envy and Kody rams him into the arena wall, using the flipper to throw him against the barrier, but there seems to be no way to eliminate him like this and Kody is forced to back away, allowing Under Pressure to come in on the attack and he does so very potently, finally getting those claws into play as the wedges of Under Pressure get underneath the sides of Envy and Martijn makes small perforations in both sides of Envy! Kody gasps, horrified as Martijn reverses into the pit release with Envy in his grasp, and although the impact with the pit release does shake them a little Under Pressure holds on, however the impact with the wall may have hurt Martijn€™s hopes a little more than we originally thought as Envy has managed to reverse just a little on Under Pressure€™s wedges and get that 10mm titanium front scoop under the middle of Under Pressure, meaning neither robot has their 2WD on the ground! This is advantageous for Envy as now Under Pressure can€™t shove it around, but neither robot can move so Under Pressure is forced by the judges to release Envy, who immediately drives in underneath the middle of Under Pressure€™s U-shaped bodywork and flips it up and over! And although Under Pressure works inverted, the weaponry is far less effective in this position, as without the wedges Martijn must battle the opponent€™s own drive when they are in the claws. And now Envy can easily get under the front ground clearance and does so quickly so the claws don€™t have time to attack and Kody easily wedges Martijn and pushes him towards the pit of oblivion, which gapes like a large black hole just waiting for Under Pressure, who is flipped up and over into it just seconds later.
CEASE!
Under Pressure was under too much pressure; Envy heads through to the very last heat final!
And so, the very last heat final of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged will be:
Nidhogg (2) v Envy

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
w00t again! :proud:
Nidhogg (2) vs. Envy
Ah, a Joey battle. How fun.
Good old Nidhogg. Seems pretty manoeuvrable so Ill have to work to get at its sides and flip it over. First off, open the pit, and try to get at the sides or rear to toss it. Then Ill take advantage of its slow srimech and shove it down the pit. I cant let it get its front under me or else Im as good as gone; that aluminium armour isnt going to last long against Niddys crushing arm and hell pit meh before I can do anything.
Good luck Joey.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
WORCK beat Nidhogg in the Challenge Belt via on OOTA. So Envy could win if he gets under. But if he FAILS to get under, Nidhogg to do what Tiberius did in the UK Champs this year.
Good competition all round Liam (even if I didnt one SINGLE semi-finalist  but theres always RS!!3 ), and as it gets down to the last 16, it looks like a MASSIVE race for the trophy.
Good luck everybody :proud:

Nidhogg (2) v Envy
The final heat of this season of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged is about to get underway, and one of these two robots must join the other fifteen machines in the series semi-finals!
In round 1 Nidhogg stayed in the background while Under Pressure pitted Leprosy Infection.
Meanwhile Envy teamed up with Drum Boy to dispose of Sonic Boom.
In round 2 Nidhogg grappled and pitted Drum Boy.
Meanwhile Envy flipped Under Pressure into the pit.

SMASH!!
Nidhogg is the first off the mark, using those LEMs to drive quickly across the arena and get to Envy, who drives around the seeded machine and tries to get in underneath the side, but Nidhogg turns to face the realie, who backs away. The seeded machine progresses towards Shane Swan€™s successful wedge and Kody again tries to dodge the front of Nidhogg, succeeding, but failing to get the wedge underneath the side of Nidhogg and instead Joey slips the magmotor driven forks under the side of Envy and lifts it into the air! Kody is stuck on those forks and watches in horror as the claw descends, biting down onto the hardox top armour of Envy and holding it in place. Kody fires Envy€™s low pressure flipper, but doesn€™t get free of Nidhogg and Joey manoeuvres over to the pit release button now, hitting it and setting off the siren. Unfortunately for Envy the forks and crusher of Nidhogg both have a very good hold on the wedge-shaped realie and Joey turns to face the pit with Nidhogg just like he did so many times last season and heads across to the chasm, lowering the forks and ascending the crusher to dump Envy into the pit after just 13 seconds of the last heat final have past.
CEASE!
Envy really is envious; Nidhogg (2) goes through to the series semi-finals!
And so we have our 16 semi-finalists! Let€™s see how they all got here:
WEDGE DEVOLUTION (1) flipped The Curse, Splinter and Sheer Heart Attack 2.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
One semi-finalist, and three heat finalists, not bad. Couldve done better though. :P
Wedge Devolution (1) vs. Orka MK.4
Orka to be tossed over the fence quickly.
Mantis vs. Axeon 3.0
Mantis wont be able to get a good grip on Axeon methinks: Axeon to go through by mulching Mantis.
Supreme Glory Omega (3) vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash
I think Daniel has this one in the bag.
Cyclone Force 3 vs. Back to Rock III
Depends.
Flick of the Wrist (12) vs. PsycloniZer
Flick of the Wrist to be reduced to component atoms. :proud:
Killobite 5.0 (10) vs. Dervish V
...Liam, I have two words for you. As they are unstable for the forum, I shall withhold them...
Nah jk; anyway box-rush the damn thing from the start and get in there with the claw; main body, wheel, anythings good. Once I have a nice grip, pit it immediately. No using the forks here.
Nidhogg (2) vs. Achilles
Oh dear. The runner-up to go out, methinks.
Cat with Wheels vs. Black Panther
Cat With Wheels to toss Black Panther out.
Very good, looks to be a blast Liam. :)

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Drumroll please...
96 robots dared to enter the coliseum...
80 of those machines have already been pitted, flipped, OOTAed and simply smashed into submission...
But 16 battle-worthy competitors have survived...
So let€™s narrow that number down to 4 before the series final!
Fighting Tonight:
Wedge Devolution (1) vs. Orka MK.4
Mantis vs. Axeon 3.0
Supreme Glory Omega (3) vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash
Cyclone Force 3 vs. Back to Rock III
I€™m here in the pits now with Steven McGregor, who is driving is famed creation Wedge Devolution, the reigning champion in this first semi-final battle.
Me: Hey there Steve, confident?
Steven: Quietly so, my flipped has the power to get him over the barrier, but that claw/scoop combination does look potent.
Me: Is the robot ready?
Steven: Very much so. It did take some damage from Sheer Heart Attack 2 in the last round, but that€™s repaired now and it€™s ready.
Me: What advantage do you have against him?
Steven: A much better drive-train, with my LEMCO 130 motors giving me double the horsepower his magmotors supply that Behemoth-shaped machine with.
Me: Good luck.
Steven: Thanks.
*Liam strolls over to Chris*
Me: Is Orka ready to knock out the champion?
Chris: I hope so. If I can get a good hold of it I think I can make it to the pit, but if it gets under me near the arena side wall...
Me: The whale could get washed up...
Chris: On the camera tracks.
Me: Any damage from the last round?
Chris: Not really, since it was up against a rammer with no damaging weaponry, but some of the internals were knocked around a little bit so they have been put back in place.
Me: Good luck against the champ.
Chris: Thanks.
Round 4, Battle 1
Seeded #1, the winner of Heat A, Wedge Devolution!
In the heats the reigning champion defeated:
- The Curse (with Sheer Heart Attack 2)
- Splinter
- Sheer Heart Attack 2
The winner of Heat D, Orka MK.4!

SMASH!!
The wedge of Wedge Devolution and the box with a scoop of Orka MK.4 both get off to a very quick start as this first ever semi-final match in RS!! gets underway, with the two meeting head on and Orka gaining the advantage this time, driving in underneath the champion and turning it over onto its back. Steven hits the flipper button and springs Wedge Devolution back onto its wheels, but Orka is in there again and gets under the front again, trying to clamp Wedge Devolution with the claw, but failing. As a result Chris just tips Wedge over again, but Steven once more fires the flipper button, sooner than last time and as a result he lands away from Orka, who turns to attack again only to find Wedge Devolution has reversed away from him to find a better target run. Orka drives towards the champion again, perhaps more tentatively this time and that may be the key to what happens next as Wedge scoots around to the side of Orka with great speed coming from that powerful drive-train and gets the flipper in underneath the side of Orka. The flipper plate bent upwards at ground level helps with that and Steven rams Orka across the arena firing the flipper as he does so and letting Orka fly up into the air before coming crashing down onto its back. Chris self-rights, but Wedge Devolution was ready and drives in underneath it before the wheels hit the floor, throwing Orka skyward again and this time it€™s a real close call for Orka, landing with a CRASH right onto the side rails of the barrier between the arena floor and the camera tracks and wobbling precariously for a moment before falling back into the arena on its wheels and driving to the centre of the arena and turning to meet Wedge Devolution as the champion drives back on the attack, and this time it€™s Orka who manages to get around to the side of its adversary, getting the scoop in underneath the side skirt and bringing the claw down on top of Wedge Devolution before lifting it up with the scoop! The champion is caught in a vice grip now and Chris reverses into the pit release button with glee, but the impact loosens his hold on Wedge Devolution and a flick of the flipper gets the champion away from Orka and back to the centre of the arena, where he is followed by Orka MK.4 who comes back on the attack only to have the front scoop breached by Wedge Devolution this time, and Steven guns it towards the pit Orka just opened, coming within a few metres of it before Steven realises Orka is slipping off the front wedge due to frantic weapons operating by Chris, and he€™ll never make it to the pit before Orka escapes! Steven quickly weighs up his options and throws Orka upwards again with a snort of carbon dioxide from the flipper and Christopher€™s Behemoth-shaped machine is launched across the arena before landing on its back right next to the pit! Chris doesn€™t particularly feel like self-righting so close to the pit, but still Wedge Devolution is coming for him so he hits the scoop button and turns himself back over with his front wheels over the edge of the pit! And even in this position Orka is able to reverse back from over the abyss onto the arena floor, and although things seem to be looking up for the robot with the whale namesake Wedge Devolution is coming from behind and gets in underneath the rear of Orka shoving it towards the pit, but making the mistake of trying to stylishly flip Orka into the pit and instead throwing it ACROSS the abyss! This seems like a missed opportunity to Wedge Devolution, but the power of the flipper was enough and the crowd can barely cope with the tension as Orka bounces along the arena floor and rolls onto the barrier, teetering on the edge for a few seconds before falling back in for the second time in this match! However the few seconds that it spent wobbling on the rails gave Wedge Devolution the time it needed to scoot around the pit and get under the side of Orka again! This time Steven and Christopher know it€™s all over and the champion fires its flipped for the last time in this match, after many attempts finally sending Orka MK.4 up and over the wall to land on the camera tracks!
CEASE!
Orka MK.4 has been made extinct; Wedge Devolution (1) goes through to the second round of the semi-finals!
I€™m here in the pits now with Chris, who is a little disappointed at losing Orka MK.4.
Me: Commiserations.
Chris: Thanks.
Me: Are you too disappointed?
Chris: Not really, it would have been nice to get through, but I still have Cyclone Force 3, right?
Me: Of course, good luck with that battle.
Chris: Thanks again.
*Liam walks over to the victorious Steven*
Me: Well Done!
Steven: Thanks, I really enjoyed that match.
Me: I enjoyed writi- I mean watching it, there were a few twists and turns.
Steven: Yes, I almost got him over the fence twice, but I guess it was third time lucky.
Me: See in the next round.
Steven: I look forward to it.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaay, now let€™s head back over to the coliseum for the second match of the semi-finals!
Round 4, Battle 2

This weapon synergy is similar in operation to that of Orka MK.4 we saw in the last round, although Mantis€™ lifting prongs may have more grip than the scoop of Christopher€™s defeated machine. This certainly seems so as Leo immediately manages to get the prongs under the front left corner of Axeon and despite the blows raining down on it Mantis brings down the crusher and lifts its vapour opponent into the air with pride, parading across the arena towards the pit release button, which it smacks into. This impact loosens its grip on Axeon, who falls onto the arena wall, but self-rights back into the arena with a flick of the powerful axe. Leo goes in for a side attack, but Axeon 3.0 reverses away and comes in on a side attack on Mantis, bringing the axe down and punching a hole in the top armour of Mantis, holding in there and attempting to drag Mantis into the pit! But Leo struggles against the pull of Axeon 3.0 and manages to twist Mantis around so that his lifting prongs are in underneath Axeon and he attempts to lift Axeon into the air, but Andy holds the axe in there and so both robots tip up into the air, and as Axeon seems to be heading towards the pit in this position Andy pulls the axe out, allowing Mantis and itself to fall back onto their wheels. However now Leo pushes in underneath again and gets another good grip on Axeon after pushing Andy back into the rear corner, but Andy fires the axe and pushes Mantis€™ claw away, escaping but depositing itself onto the killsaws! BZZT! Axeon is flipped over by the saws and Mantis immediately takes advantage of this, quickly driving in underneath the flipped Axeon and bringing the crusher down to stop it self-righting. Then Mantis hoists the upside down robot into the air using the three-pronged lifter and reverses across the arena to the pit! All of a sudden Axeon and this battle has been turned on its head and Mantis slowly turns, full of decision in its malevolent movements as it lowers the lifter and raises the crusher to let Axeon slide into the pit and out of the semi-finals.
CEASE!
Axeon 3.0 is given the axe; Mantis progresses to the fifth round!
And so after the first two semi-final battles Wedge Devolution (1) and Mantis have reached the next round, but who will join them?
Supreme Glory Omega (3) v Metal Sonic Spin Dash

NEWS:
Due to changes in plans for the next series of Robot SMASH!! there are some things I said before that need to be changed. Before it was planned it would be RW7 style, but instead I have decided to go with an RW6 tourney. Obviously now there will only be 24 seeds instead if the expected 32 and so if you finished in the top three of the Mini-Tournament the seeding you receive will be different. Chances are the winners of the special fights will be seeded, and so only 1 or none of the heat finalists will be seeded.
BTW, If I dont get Cyclone Forces setup by Monday Ill be using the lifter. Sorry if this is impatient but I really want to get a move on with this. I need the setup now because SGO vs. MSSD is already written and will be posted with CF3 vs. BTRIII

SMASH!!
Both of these machines are low boxes with skirts, but the seeded machine has skirts all the way round while Metal Sonic Spin Dash has them at the sides and rear as well as a front wedge, and it€™s this wedge that immediately breached the front skirt of SGO and gets underneath Daniel€™s famous machine. SGO brings the axe down, but misses and hits the arena floor, allowing Metal Sonic Spin Dash to drive it around to the arena on those barbs! The saw may be damaging the underneath of SGO, but we can only guess what€™s happening right now. Daniel turns off the vacuum device on the bottom of the seed and uses the power of his axe to get off the barbs on top of MSSD before ramming in underneath the rear ground clearance of the MRW4 champion and smacking a nice dent in the top hardox armour! Steven doesn€™t like that one bit and turns quickly again to get in at the side of SGO and goes out on a full-on slam across the arena, crashing it into the arena wall! But Daniel used the vacuum device to slow the impact and now turns around to get at the rear of Metal Sonic Spin Dash, giving Steven another large dent in the top armour to worry about! Daniel goes on and pushes it up against the arena wall, gunning the motors to hold it in place while he repeatedly whacks the blue machine with that powerful full pressure axe, putting lots of large dents in the top armour! These hits are non-stop and MSSD can€™t get away because the skirt of SGO is underneath the rear of its box wedge shaped body, allowing Daniel to keep the pressure on, bringing the axe over and over again relentlessly hammering down on MSSD. But thirty seconds pass and SGO is forced by the judges to release Metal Sonic Spin Dash, who immediately tries to reverse away, only for Steven to find those axe blows have knocked loose a motor connection and MSSD is left going in circles! The saw is spinning, but only one of the LEMs has power now and so only half the wheels are turning, not allowing any direction at all for Steven€™s second semi-finalist! Daniel looks on for a few seconds before coming in again at just the right time and he pushes MSSD side on to the arena wall, holding it in place and once again bringing the axe down and down again, relentlessly smacking the life out of Metal Sonic Spin Dash! Steven attempts to defend himself by rising and lowering the magmotor actuated srimech, but it is to no avail and the seeded machine continues to deal out the punishment, smacking the top armour so hard that the surface is basically a field of craters, although the hardox still hasn€™t been pierced by SGO€™s axe. Another 30 seconds passes and Supreme Glory reverses away from MSSD again, whose srimech seems to have frozen in mid-air due to another damaged motor connection. However that doesn€™t help the drive at all and MSSD hits the arena wall whenever it drives forwards or backwards, not going anywhere Steven wants it to. Daniel looks on before driving in behind MSSD with ease and pushing it into the corner, where it is flipped up and slammed against the wall in a shower of sparks by the killsaws, but luckily for Steven it falls back onto its wheels. SGO however is underneath again and pushes Spin Dash onto the un-opened pit, before giving it another 30 seconds worth of axe blows. The shell is looking so tattered now, and it seems to have stopped moving completely, and as the camera zooms in we see that the removable link has been knocked out of the robot and Supreme Glory Omega has won the battle. Just for fun though Daniel reverses into the pit release button and watches as Metal Sonic Spin Dash slowly disappears from view...
CEASE!
Metal Sonic Spin Dash is spunout; Supreme Glory Omega (3) goes through to round 2!
And now the final round 4 battle of this semi-final!

SMASH!!
Cyclone Force 3 is using the Storm II-style lifter for this match and as these two proven machines get off the mark quickly right at the start of the battle and it€™s Cyclone Force 3 who gets the better and faster beginning, dodging BTR€™s front and managing to breach a side skirt and lift it into the air, the six wheels on the underside spinning helplessly as Chris holds it in the air as he puts his own Lynch motor drive into gear and speeds across the arena, slamming BTRIII into the bottom wall and letting it fly upwards and over onto its back from the impact! Martijn self-rights with the electric lifter and now comes around on the attack himself, getting in underneath the rear of Cyclone Force 3 and picking Chris up as the saw comes into play on the wheels of the Storm II-style rammer and Martijn slams the basic box shaped robot into the arena wall! The crowd cheer and Martijn pins Cyclone Force 3 against the arena wall for a few more seconds before letting Chris down onto the arena floor, but it€™s clear as he tries to go back on the attack that Back to Rock III€™s saw blade has done its job on those tyres, cutting through every tyre on one side! And as a result Chris is limping badly now as he struggles to attack, getting lifted up and flipped up and over by Back to Rock III as he tries to get his lifter into play, but now that Cyclone Force 3 is in inverted the lifting arm is useless and Back to Rock scoops it back up again and Martijn drives Chris back across the arena and pins him up against the pit release button, causing the klaxon to go off and a large chasm in the arena floor to appear. Chris tries to drive away from Martijn as Back to Rock III gets closer, but those cut up tyres are not helping it at all and Martijn simply drives in underneath the inverted wedge and flips Cyclone Force 3 onto the killsaws! BZZT! The invertible box is spun around and thrown away towards the centre of the arena, but at least it is the right way up now and manages to get the lifter under the rear of Back to Rock III, tipping Martijn up onto his front! But he easily self-rights using his own lifting arm and quickly reverses into the side of Cyclone Force 3, pushing Chris up into the wall! CRASH! The two combatants hit that wall hard and with some quick driving Martijn takes advantage of Chris€™ momentary confusion by pulling around to the rear of Cyclone Force 3 and driving in underneath, ramming it across the arena and stopping at the brink of the chasm to allow Cyclone Force 3 to slide down the lifter and into the pit.
CEASE!
Cyclone Force 3 is blown away by gale force winds; Back to Rock III advances to the fifth round!
And thus we have the second round draws for the first semi-final!

Woot! Excellent fights, Sir Liam of Toile Mail! Im just glad I dont have to face another Steve McGregor machine.
*looks at lineup*
DOH!
Anyways... main tactic here is to get the match over and done with as soon as possible. Try to keep hold of Wedge Devo with the axe and dump it into the pit. Suck myself down to the ground so it cannot get underneath, allow it to ride up the front and clamp onto it.
Good luck Steve! :)

SMASH!!
Mantis and Back to Rock III both looked impressive in the first round of the semis, with Mantis dispatching the promising Axeon 3.0 and Back to Rock cutting up Cyclone Force 3€™s tyres to limit manoeuvrability before pushing Christopher€™s rammer down the pit. It€™s Mantis who seems to have the better weaponry for grabbing hold of and controlling other robots in this round, and Leo quickly proves that by dodging the front of Back to Rock III and managing just to get the right prong of the lifter under the skirt of Back to Rock III. Leo lifts it up, unable this time to get the crusher into play and Martijn€™s mighty machine topples over, and quickly self-righting with the electric lifter to find itself side on with Mantis. Martijn quickly takes this opportunity and ploughs into the side of Mantis, getting underneath and ramming Leo onto the killsaws! BZZT! Mantis is flipped and rolled sideways, and as Leo attempts to attack Back to Rock III again it seems that the realie is limping- either BTR€™s cutting blade or the killsaws have cut through the tyres and all of a sudden Mantis is finding it a lot harder to attack Back to Rock III and take control of this fight. Martijn reverses away from the now slow Mantis, who limps after it only to get side-stepped and rammed from the side by Back to Rock III, and when they reach the side wall Martijn turns to get under the rear of Mantis and lifts it up into the air, with Mantis balancing on the tip of the lifter for a moment before crashing down on its own head! CRASH! Mantis really took a hit there and the crusher was knocked down a notch into the down position, and it seems here that Mantis is on its back! Leo raises the crusher to try and tip the scales just enough to get back up, and he is successful, but Martijn runs underneath the side of Mantis again and slams it into the arena side wall, now using that electric lifting arm again to hoist Leo onto the rails! Mantis wobbles and tries to drive back down into the arena, but Martijn holds strong and delivers the final nudge to Mantis in what has been a surprisingly one-sided battle, although that is clear now as Mantis topples off the rails and lands the wrong side of the wall, on the camera tracks.

SMASH!!
This is the first ever Robot SMASH!! , battle to take place between two seeded machines, and both of these robots want to take the title of winning this historical match. Supreme Glory Omega, the third seed has the naturally more aggressive weaponry and immediately goes on the attack, dodging the front flipper of Wedge Devolution, spinning around to attack the side, and he does get an axe blow, denting the top hardox armour of the reigning champion, but Steven turns and gets underneath before any more damage can be done, throwing SGO up into the air and it turns over in a graceful arc before it lands on its back. Daniel quickly self-rights and goes back on the attack, giving Steven another whack with the axe, but staying back so that Wedge Devo isn€™t underneath, only Steven rushes forward quickly with the lynch motor drive and breached the front skirt, once again throwing SGO into the air, only this time the machine from Merthyr Tydfil turns right over in mid-air and lands on its wheels, quickly driving forward to get in underneath the open flipper of Wedge Devolution! The skirt gets underneath the front of Wedge Devolution and Daniel powers across the arena, pushing the champion across the coliseum and giving it another hefty slam with the axe, causing a third dent in Wedge Devolution€™s hardox shell. And with the number #1 seed pinned up against the wall Daniel continues to bring the axe repeatedly down on the top of Wedge Devolution, peppering the lid of the wedge flipper with dents, just like it did to its stable-mate Metal Sonic Spin Dash in the last round. But now Steven manages to close the flipper on SGO, and so the axe can only come up so far! And with this happening Steven guns that four wheel drive and his superior pushing power to ram SGO back across the arena and onto the killsaws! BZZT! The third seed is tipped up and over, freeing Wedge Devolution who rushes in to try and get SGO OOTA, but Daniel self-rights just as Wedge Devo flips and is thrown backwards over the champion€™s head, crashing down onto its lid behind Wedge Devolution, who repeats its previous movement now by turning and ramming under SGO as it self-rights, now once again using that powerful drive to charge Daniel across the arena and those two flipper rams fire again, throwing SGO into the air and Daniel crashes down with his axe head over the arena wall! The main body of SGO is inside the arena, but it seems the axe head is stuck over the rail and Daniel can€™t pull himself back into the arena from this position! This won€™t count as an immobilisation position, but Wedge Devolution has a flipper, and this particular flipper likes to do one thing to its opponents. Steven decides to finish SGO off in this fashion and slips his flipper plate under the bottom of the third seed, firing the flipper to send SGO up and over the arena wall and out of the competition in style.
CEASE!
Supreme Glory Omega (3) is axed; +2>Wedge Devolution (1) powers through to the grand final!

SMASH!!
Both robots get off to a fast start, with the ring of PsycloniZer emitting an intimidating whir as the hammers quickly become a blur and Flick of the Wrist guns that six wheel drive and speeds across the arena, knocking PsycloniZer into the arena wall! A large majority of the impact was dissipated into the wall, but Flick has not escaped unscathed and the left fork is slightly bent inwards! Martijn takes no notice though and ploughs on into PsycloniZer, managing to get one of the forks stuck under the Son of Whyachi style cage and lefts it up, allowing him now to line up for a full out slam towards the pit release button! Flick once again hit full throttle as all six wheels go full out and slam Andy into the pit release, signalling the descent of the arena hazard and sending PsycloniZer toppling away onto its side, rolling back down as Andy spins up the ring again and avoids another ramming attack from Flick, who misses the invertible ring spinner completely and drives onto the killsaws! BZZT! One of the tyres at the front seems to have been slightly shredded, but with five others to keep it going Flick is OK for now and turns to try and attack PsycloniZer, but to Martijn€™s dismay the three hammers have spun up by the LEM-200 motor and the S28-400s in the drive are driving PsycloniZer at top speed towards Flick of the Wrist, who now realises far too late that he should have driven out of the way by now! CRASH! The six-wheeled Tornado is spun away across the arena as PsycloniZer almost flips itself over from the force it was hit by from its own attack, but Andy€™s machine seems to be OK. Flick of the Wrist on the other hand has a side panel knocked in and isn€™t moving at all! The crowd and Martijn look on as PsycloniZer spins up the powerful ring again, lining up for another attack on the twelfth seed. CRASH! This time the damaged side panel is ripped clean off and Flick of the Wrist is slammed against the arena wall, and still no movement! Bow the crowd begin the count and Andy drives in behind the seeded machine to make use of that open pit as he drives against it and pushes it across the arena to the pit, pushing one side of the six wheel drive over the abyss just as the crowd finishes the countdown. The match would normally end now, but with Flick this close to oblivion the judges nor Andy can resist and PsycloniZer delivers the final shove to knock the twelfth seed Flick of the Wrist into the pit and out of the competition.
CEASE!
Flick of the Wrist (12) is flicked out of the picture; PsycloniZer whirls on to the fifth round!

SMASH!!
The seeded Killobite is very quick off the mark in this battle, hurriedly speeding across the arena and slamming into the spinning up drum of Dervish V, stopping both robot and weapon in their tracks and slamming Daniel backwards against the arena wall! Dervish mounts the forks, but Killobite doesn€™t use them. Instead Kody brings the crusher down and sinks it into that aluminium armour on Dervish V, holding on in there now before reversing across the arena and hitting the pit release button. That has freed a lot of trapped robots this season, and Dervish V is lucky enough to make it away now, but although the weapon spins the robot can drive only in a circle- it seems the seeded robot€™s crusher went straight through a drive motor! Daniel manages to bring the drum around onto the side of Killobite and flips the seeded robot over, now driving in again and managing to claw out a bit of Killobite€™s own aluminium from behind the steel bar chassis, but now Kody pulls around on the attack again and manages to get Dervish V€™s wheel between the surprisingly static forks, bringing the crusher down right through the still active tyre! That may have put an end to Dervish€™s driving in this battle completely, but Kody still reverses side on to the pit and turns so that Dervish is over the pit! The seeded robot begins the scent of its crusher and Dervish plunges into the pit, leaving the arena and the competition!
CEASE!
A very quick match and Dervish V bites the dust; Killobite 5.0 (10) goes through to the fifth round!

SMASH!!
Nidhogg is the seed and veteran in this match, and it immediately becomes clear that Joey wants to make it through this round and live up to his second seed placing as Nidhogg gets off the mark very quickly and drives around the front of Achilles, who also turns and meets the seeded robot head-on, with the tapered front pneumatic flipper of Achilles defeating Nidhogg€™s magmotor actuated forks this time. Alex runs in underneath and guns those E-Teks to thrust last season€™s runner-up across the arena and he fires the two flipper rams, sending Nidhogg up into the air for it to slowly turn over and come crashing down on its back! The spines on the crusher help it self-right, but already Achilles is back on the attack and drives in underneath, once again pushing Joey across the arena and flipping it again, and this time Nidhogg lands on the rails before just falling back into the arena! Joey drives away and around now to speed back in at Achilles, finally getting underneath Alex€™s front flipper and bringing the crusher down onto the top armour of Achilles! Joey holds the PTT5 champion in place and raises the forks to bring the wheels off the ground and reverses into the pit release button! It looks like the seeded machine has really turned the tables now, but that impact with the pit release button loosens Joey€™s hold on Achilles and Alex is loose in the arena now, reversing away from Nidhogg before gunning those E-Teks and getting under the side of Nidhogg, ramming Joey across the arena and firing the flipper to let it fly through the air before rolling across the arena floor and landing the right way up next to the arena wall! Joey comes back on the attack and manages to get the forks under the side of Achilles, lifting the NSBFL6 champion into the air, only for Alex to fire the flipper and jerk Achilles off the electric lifter of Nidhogg back onto the arena floor! Achilles pulls around again and gets underneath the side of Nidhogg again, once more launching last season€™s runner-up high into the air for it to come crashing back down onto its back in the centre of the arena! Nidhogg manages to self-right, but in that second Achilles was quick to attack again, getting underneath again and slamming the seeded machine into the arena wall! Alex fires the flipper and it certainly seems like the end for Nidhogg and Joey€™s stomach churns as the Razer-esque crushing machine turns over in mid air and plummets towards the ground, and Joey€™s heart skips a beat as the crusher hooks Nidhogg back into the arena, rolling over and landing on its wheels again! Never has anyone been that lucky, and now in comes Achilles again, breaching the side of Nidhogg and flipping it over and over towards the arena side wall, but Alex miss-times a flip and Nidhogg is back on its wheels, quickly getting under the front for the crusher to come pressing down on the open flipper and squeezing it shut! The forks of Nidhogg lift up and suddenly it doesn€™t look so good for Achilles! Joey rushes across the arena, with Alex using the flipper just to make Nidhogg lose its grip, but it€™s too late as Achilles€™ back wheels slide over the abyss! Joey smiles and delivers the final push to send Achilles down into the pit with a puff of smoke!

SMASH!!
With Alex Holt in the control booth for the second time in quick succession Black Panther is quick off the mark, dodging the front of Cat with Wheels and attempting to attack around the side of Danny€™s wedge, but Cat turns to meet head on with Black Panther although sadly for Danny this time the front flipper of Black Panther gets underneath the front of Cat with Wheels, turning it over with a flick of the flipper. The flipper rams power up though and turn Cat back onto its wheels, and Danny goes straight on the attack, getting underneath the side of Black Panther this time and turning it over as he pushes Alex onto the killsaws! BZZT! Black Panther is tossed sideways off the killsaws, but quickly self-rights and comes back on the attack, once again breaching the front of Cat with Wheels and this time bringing the axe down and putting a nice hole in Cat€™s flipper arm, holding on in there and gunning those magmotors in the drive to push the Heat N winner across the arena and up against the arena wall, and with Danny stuck in this position Alex withdraws the axe before bringing it down again, and again. This is repeated several times, really making the titanium armour of Cat with Wheels feel the pain as the THZ-style axe repeatedly slams down onto the front wedge, putting dents, holes and welts into the top armour of Cat with Wheels! Eventually though one of the axe blows knocks Black Panther back a bit and the LEMs of CTW allow Danny just to push Black Panther back across the arena floor a bit and into the pit release button! Quickly escaping now to the centre of the arena, Cat with Wheels turns and dodges the front of Black Panther this time, managing to get under the side and throw it over onto its back, with Alex quickly firing the flipper to right itself only to get pushed underneath and flipped over again by the incredibly persistent Cat with Wheels, who pushes Black Panther up against the arena wall now and fires the flipper again, pushing the MN runner-up against the barrier and gunning the motors to pin it there for 30 seconds, holding the semi-UFO shaped machine in place! Eventually though the judges force Danny to release Black Panther, who reverses back into the centre of the arena and is attacked again by Cat with Wheels, who finally manages to get under the front of Black Panther by going at it from an angle and jamming Black Panther up against the barrier! Again Alex is in trouble, but self-rights with the axe and turns side on to Cat with Wheels, slamming it with the axe again and again, driving in underneath the side and flipping Cat with Wheels onto its back to gain some more damage points the base of the machine before Danny self-rights only to get Black Panther€™s axe stuck in the flipper rams when the flipper was wide open from self-righting! Carbon Dioxide gas is snorted all over the arena by the delirious Cat with Wheels who immediately guns it away from Black Panther when the axe is released. Alex gives chase, but with some clever U-turns and driving skills Danny eludes Black Panther for a full 27 seconds before Alex finally corners Danny and is Tabby cat in the corner, driving in and pushing Cat onto the killsaws! BZZT! Cat is flipped up, but not over as Black Panther moves in again, getting underneath and attempting to finish the match by turning Cat with Wheels over onto its back, but it€™s no good as Danny lands on his wheels this time and reverses away again! Once more Alex gives chase and this time catches the cat very quickly, fitting that flipper underneath and throwing it over for one final time! It seems as though Black Panther has it won, but you need to be immobilised for ten seconds, and Cat with Wheels was flipped with just 4 left before the match was ended!
CEASE!
As Cat wasn€™t counted out in time we go to the first judge€™s decision of the semi-finals!
Judge€™s Decision:
Damage:
Black Panther- 10 x 4= 40
Cat with Wheels- 6 x 4= 24
Aggression:
Black Panther- 7 x 3= 21
Cat with Wheels- 9 x 3= 27
Control:
Black Panther- 6 x 2= 12
Cat with Wheels- 9 x 2= 18
Dominance:
Black Panther- 7 x 1= 7
Cat with Wheels- 7 x 1= 7
Overall:
Black Panther- 40 + 21 + 12 + 7= 80pts

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
YAY! And...oh...cooking implements. :proud:
Were similar robots, but I should have better maneuvrability with my two wheel drive, compared to hid four, and the exoskeleton should be easy to slip the forks under and get the crusher to hook on, so...get round sides, avoid front, lift, crush, pit, thingy :proud:

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Gah, second seeds... :proud:
PsycloniZer vs. Black Panther
I smell a rematch. And I also smell Alex getting his revenge on AJ. :proud:
Nidhogg (2) vs. Killobite 5.0 (10)
Due to the chassis extending beyond the armour, he cant damage me easily at all, but his plan is to grapple hold rather...exactly like mine. :proud: I like the shape of Nidhogg too, so if I can slide the forks under, both his wheels will be off the ground. I also have a bigger area that I can attack with, and his is fairly small, so I should be able to get him, around the sides or back preferably. With any luck, I might be able to break off his srimech too. Main thing though is to pit. Pit. Pit. :)
Good luck Joe-E.

SMASH!!
These two highly successful machines met in the grand final of Mechanical Noise, a major tournament by Martijn M Benschop who has already made this season€™s grand final with Back to Rock III. They were both in previous incarnations back then, as PsycloniZer was Psyclonised and Black Panther was Black Panther Queen. Psyclonised was the victor, but will that be the same here today or will Black Panther with Alex at the controls get its gruesome revenge? Not if Andy can help it, as PsycloniZer guns those mags to stay away from the semi-UFO shape that is Black Panther while the LEM-200 drains power from the batteries to spin up that heavy ring so that the three deadly hammers quickly become a blur! Alex looks worried and tries to dodge PsycloniZer as Andy goes in on the attack, and almost makes it out of the way, but one of the hammers swings around and slams into the front of Black Panther sending the 16th most feared Vapourbot flying away across the arena and onto the killsaws! BZZT! There€™s a dent in the front armour, but the drive and weapons seem to be OK as Alex powers back across the coliseum and gets underneath PsycloniZer, bringing the THZ-style axe repeatedly crashing down onto the top armour of PsycloniZer, causing some large dents and finally managing to snag a wheel hole! The tyre itself isn€™t punctured, but Black Panther is in control now as Alex points the entwined pair towards the pit release button and heads in that direction, slamming against the tyre in order to launch the release siren and lower the chasm! However the impact knocks Black Panther€™s axe just out of the wheel hole of PsycloniZer, unfortunately for Alex allowing Andy to shoot off again to get that ring up to full speed. Alex backs away from the pit release button and attempts to stop the ring of PsycloniZer from getting up to speed by bashing into it hard with the back of the semi-UFO shaped body, but Andy dodges the assault and runs into the side of Black Panther with that ring running at maximum speed and potency, the three red hammers looking like a blood red tornado of death! CRASH! And this time Black Panther is more than just a little winded as it spins away and slams into the arena wall before suddenly it starts venting carbon dioxide! It certainly looks like the co2 supply was ruptured after that powerful hit from the whirling hammers of PsycloniZer! With the axe now gone Black Panther could be in serious trouble, as the invertible PyscloniZer is designed to be a flipper-killer, and the low power linear actuators on Black Panther won€™t be flipping Andy€™s ring spinner out of the arena anytime soon. Although he knows this Alex follows PsycloniZer as it backs away anyway, just to try and get some points for aggression, and he does so as he fits the flipper underneath PsycloniZer and flips it up and over, although this doesn€™t do much as Andy reverses away to spin up again, dodging Black Panther€™s second onslaught since the pneumatics were ruptured with relative ease before reversing at full speed into the rear of Black Panther with the hammers going like hell! CRASH! Alex once again has the stuffing knocked out of him as Black Panther is sent spinning across the arena and left reeling, driving aimlessly into the arena wall in its dazed state before turning around to try and attack PsycloniZer again, but it seems the drive has been taken out on one side as it drives around in a circle onto the killsaws! BZZT! Black Panther is flipped up and over in a shower of sparks, and certainly now the match is over as Alex can€™t self-right without his axe. The crowd counts the valiant Black Panther out as Alex makes his exit from his first, successful season of Robot SMASH!! .
CEASE!
Black Panther is hunted down and defeated; +2>PyscloniZer goes through to the series grand final!
And now then we have 3 of the 4 grand final spots filled:
Back to Rock III
Wedge Devolution (1)
PsycloniZer
One more robot must join them, and it will be a seeded robot. The question is which seeded robot will it be?
Round 5, Battle 4
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Nidhogg (2)
Killobite 5.0 (10)
Roboteers, standby!
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Kody Kunz

SMASH!!
These are two pretty similar machines, although they have different shapes and drive layouts they both use the combination of lifting forks and hydraulic crushers, interestingly they both have exactly the same amount of power behind those crushers, with 9 tonnes at the ram and 4.5 tonnes at the tip. Nidhogg however is the more manoeuvrable with that two wheel drive and dodges the front forks of the tenth seed to get its own forks under the exo-skeleton on the side! Joey lifts it up into the air and turns around to bring the crusher into play, however this time the crusher comes down on one of the steel bars of the aforementioned exo-skeleton. With no damage to be done Joey compensates by dragging Killobite 5.0 towards the pit release button, but unfortunately for him Killobite still has one side of the four wheel drive on the ground and is still using one of the motors to try and get down, not quite reaching its goal but still managing to make Joey€™s job a lot harder. Killobite twists and squirms, but now Joey just pushes forwards, getting right in underneath and just tipping Killobite over onto its back! Immediately Killobite begins to self-right, but the second seed steps in the way and reverses into it, pushing it backwards across the arena and onto the killsaws! BZZT! Killobite is flipped back up, but onto the arena wall! Kody has to raise the forks to get back down, and he does so, but Nidhogg comes in behind him and lifts him up, also biting down with the crusher and this time it slides between the bars to sink like a knife through hot butter into the aluminium armour of Killobite, digging deep into the workings and holding on tight as Joey now reverses out of the corner and turns to hit the pit release button, still gripping on tight in there! Killobite struggles, but the second seed€™s grip is too tight and Joey carefully drives over to the pit and lowers the forks so that last season€™s heat D finalist is suspended over the abyss, and all of a sudden the weight becomes too much and the pair of them topple over into the pit! The crowd gasp and wonder who€™s out, but as the replay shows on the large screen above them it becomes clear Killobite 5.0 was the first to enter the pit!
CEASE!
Killobite 5.0 (10) is killobitten; +2>Nidhogg (2) goes through to the series grand final!
And so we have our four grand finalists:
Back to Rock III
Wedge Devolution (1)
PsycloniZer
Nidhogg (2)
The line-up for the grand final eliminators will be like this:
Nidhogg (2) vs. PsycloniZer
Wedge Devolution (1) vs. Back to Rock III
But before that we have the special events, the first of which will be the featherweight competition, re-done draws with a brand new format for all the other weights will be up next post!
