ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

Kali gets the slightly quicker start today and crashes head-on with Hell Machine in the middle of the ring! The duo almost seem to rebound off each other upon impact, but its Daves creation that recovers first and powers into its rivals side before it can get away! Scraping under the barely existant ground clearance with its scoop, the NSBFL 3 champion activates its axe and puts a small dint into the fellow newcomers top! However, as the hammer is withdrawn for a second shot, Kali manages to wriggle free and begins encircling Hell Machine like a buzzard over fresh meat! The Stormish competitor proves too fast for Dave to keep facing it and charges into the highly experienced vapourbots side! Now, its Alexs turn to get under its flaming foes side as Kali effortlessly shoves the NSBFL 3 king right the way up the arena and smacks it into the Void Activator! Mr Holts machine backs off for another ram, but in doing so allows Hell Machine to make a break back into the centre of the warzone! The brutal box-wedge follows and the duo engage in a few fancy manouevres before Kali bashes into its opponents side once again and slams it into the closest wall! With his flipper now well underneath his pinned nemesis, Alex activates the arm...but the wall prevents Daves creation from being completely inverted and bounces back onto its wheels! Kali backs off to retract the flipper, but allows Hell Machine to escape as a result! The two competitors briefly start dancing around with each other once again near the arena centre until Mr Weston swerves round into the Stormish newcomers side and scrapes back underneath it! In an instant, the axe comes crashing down and pops another little dint into the lid of the MRW5 Semi-Finalist! A short shoving match takes place between the duo and a few moments later, Kali has managed to wriggle free of its opponents grasp! With a burst of speed, Alexs creation tries dashing around to Hell Machines side again, but it seems Dave was prepared for this wee manouevre! Almost as quickly, the NSBFL 3 champion twirls back underneath the fellow newcomer and brings the mighty axe down on the polycarb n ABC shell a second time! However, as the duo heave and ho in the middle of the ring, Hell Machines axe starts losing its grip on Kalis top...and slips down into one of the wheel houses instead! With a powerful tug, Mr Westons more experienced robot begins dragging its struggling foe down towards the Void! Alex doesnt want to end up there...or does he? Statistically with the stronger pushing power, the Stormish entrant gets a burst of speed and starts dragging the NSBFL 3 king down to the Void instead! The tables have turned, but not for very long! As the purple-and-yellow hole gets nearer, Hell Machines axe is finally shaken out of Kalis wheel housing and Dave is able to jerk out of harms way with feet to spare! Enraged, Alex twirls his successful newbie around to finish what it started, but Mr Weston proves just the more manouevrable this time and scrapes back under his rivals side! The hammer gets a hold on Kali once more and a quick thrust forward sends the MRW5 Semi-Finalist tumbling down and out of its first (and maybe last) PTT!

Beavis and Bot-Head will, uh...TRY to pit Crash Bandi-Bot and not get COMPLETLY destroyed by Forcepower and Razer.
After the fight which ill proboblay lose, drive them around various places with recordings of their infamous laughs taped to them somewhere. If you cant beat em, at least annoy em quite a bit. :P I dont ever add silly tactics that wont matter like that, but I just have to for their first fight.

Ah, good ol PTT5, good to see that Ive been able to at least win a fight here. :)

Anyways, what are the stats for King Black Panther?

I cant actually remember myself if KBP was just an early name for BPQ or not. Ask steve, hopefully its just a different name for BPQ as far as im concerned

Anyways, Atomic will go for King Black Panther and get it from the sides and try to flip it either into the pit or OOTA on the first chance I get. Then, seeing as Back to Rock seems to be going for me, team up with Automatic Schmuck and after Automatic Schmuck does some huge damage on Back to Rock, I shall either pit it or OOTA it.

Oh, and in a hope of revenge - bp will first go for automatic smcmuck - attack mainly with the flipper as it cannot self right., but axe it first to stop the blade. If this succeeds go for atomic - throw it abotu and axe

Beavis and Bothead VS Crash Bandibot 2 VS F.P. 4.0 (15) VS Razer

I fancy trying to get rid of Razer here first, youve seen what it does to rambots if it gets a chance to attack, which Im hopefully not going to allow it to do. Just keep ramming it into the hazards/house robots and get it down the pit as soon as possible.

After that, maybe Ill help Tony to get rid of Crash Bandibot. I have a huge power advantage against everyone in this fight so pushing them around shouldnt be trouble.

Im going to guess the heat semifinalists will be the 15th seeds, the 2 realies and Automatic Schmuck.

If F.P 4.0 is going to go for Razer, then Ill try my luck with Beavis and Bothead...Although I have limited knowledge about my opposition, Im 50% positive I can pull through.

I realise this will be disappointing for you all, either waiting for bots to have their first fight or anticipating your Semi-Final foes. DISCO 5 slashed and flipped Son of Wedgie about, before one of the No.2 seeds drive motors went! Shockers!
SHOVEAROUND 2 won a very tight shoving match with Ze Newie via pitting

This may be my last proper RW tournament, but Im not out the writing game yet by a long shot. Im still beavering away with my various other fan fiction stuff and I hope to get a couple of fights done for Fantasy Robot Wars 2006 this week. Plus, Team Braveheart is still very much active, so throw away the party poppers. Im not escaping this nuthouse yet. :wink:

And just before I finish, theres only one PTT Award being handed out this year: Best Reader.

Disappointing that you had to close PTT5 down, Steve, but I understand, seeing as Ive left VFT7 for so long. Im just struggling to find the motivation to get it started again at the moment.

Yay, 4th! Its not 1st, but its close enough. I kinda liked the whole summary style of finishing the tourny off Stevo.. Made it quick, and it still summed up why each robot won! Genius!

So, we come to an end of an age, fortunatly I come out on top at the end (yay!) so the blow is somewhat lessened. However it is a great great shame to see what is argueably the most presitigeous tourny going end.

However because Ive been a tad busy myself I havent managed to finish my writing debt (eg. Erratus and Wars Incarnate) I intened to write a small 2 bot per person tourny, eg. the same scale as VGC 03, and the title? Vapourbot Grand Championship 2006 - coming soon to a forum near you soon.

Dont worry Steve-O, I understand why you did it. I might have to finish my tourny off in a similar way, except I may put some more detail into it. Nice to see that my robots did better...and that Crash Bandi-bot didnt get torn up this time.

a true pity to see PTT closed down Steve, but I cant really blame you I guess :proud:

this hypothetical tournament is a nice way to finish the whole thing, some of the results are quite cool, and honoustly, the final four is one awesome bunch :proud:

Nice stuff Steve! :) Glad you wrapped it all up which is something I dont do. Shame to see its all come to an end, but personally glad its all finished rather than dragging on. Congratulations to everyone that took part, especially to Tony and Dave for their great (possibly surprising) runs and most importantly to Alex for winning what may well be the last tournament of this size. As Alex says, seems like its the end of an age for vapourbots.

After commiting the crime of not finishing tournaments many a time, I know how hard it is to start a tournament back up after a period of inactivity and lack of time. Seems a lot of writers are getting that at the moment.

Well I say it every year around this time, so Ill say it again. :proud: Vapourbot fanfic is comming to an end... :sad: Glad to see Matty is hard at work trying to keep things going and nice to here there will be a VGC2006 though. :)
