Nothing too bad, I think. Clive's finger was bleeding - I don't recall the cause.Quote:

Thanks all for a great event and to the hard work of Alan and the crew for their tireless efforts in running the event. I'm aware they had more than a few challenges with the venue, but despite that audience numbers looked good and based on the feedback that I got standing at the door people were really impressed and hope that we'll be back again.
Congratulations to Saints and Sinners for winning the competition, it was hard fought with the Mighty Reds coming a close second.
It was great to see Kim there with Panic Attack, I think he was really taken aback at how far things have moved on since he was last running his machine - a testament to everyone involved at the passion, innovation and expertise that lies within the community. In the old days we turned up at Robot Wars, we fought, we lost and we went home. There was no suggestion that you'd get it fixed in 20 mins, re-gassed, recharged and back into the around for a quick mele just for the fun of it. How times change.
Clive's injury was nothing exciting, I believe he dropped his feather Tiny Toon on his finger when loading his van - silly boy. Think he's had a couple of stitches today on his thumb.
I won't be at Maidstone I'm afraid, off to Barcelona with work, however Tim and Meral (and Elissa) will be there with Storm II, and I'll be back to host the UK Champs later this month.
Finally - a quick thanks to Tim for all his efforts with Storm II and managing to keep Storm II running across a weekend, after nursing some nightmare gremlins, it seems that we're starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, and not just the train coming towards us waiting to hit us !
As always many thanks to the robots live crew for all their hard work. I hope the venue's management fears were not realized regarding any damage to the floor.
I didn't expect to be having the crowed chanting Saint, Saint Saint. But the Welsh are a devout lot :proud:
I am surprised to be part of the team that actually won a trophy! though I do not expect anyone to believe Saint made much of a difference.
Saint was quite reliable only the link got broken (I will be blaming Thor for this not that I have any proof ) and Seraph worked very well too.
I hope to see all the robots and crews around for next weeks fun, Clive get better soon. :D
We had a good event all in all. Excellent shows put on by robots live. The mighty reds losing by 1 point to a well deserved winning team the saints and sinners. Hope that finger gets better soon clive.
Thanks to the mighty reds we did good.
Great to see me old pals the mute boys.. Gonna have some fun we are.
Was pleased with Air it went well for its first outing.
Has anyone got a vid of the last 8 way mellee.
Was good to see panic attack after all these years.
Behemoth is looking good.
Tilly was running well too... Keep up the work pete.
Thor had issues but he will get it good soon enough.
Mute looking great too.. Still lovin the 360 self righting.
Storm ran well and as soon as thatweapon is done it will be feared once again.(not by me tho) :)
The teambud nut will return but under a new name available only at robots live events. RR seem to have their own now. Still flattered by using the nut for advertising tho... It must be good :)
Again well done to robots live. Shows done for roboteers by roboteers.
Yes Swanny it can be said you have impressive big nuts LOL
I keep meaning to replace the image, I will after maidstone after our first grudge match !!!
Ripper did well throwing robots out until the friendly with Thor and the RoboteQ blew, no idea why but its already on its way to france.
Will be sorted for maidstone for the winter tour to defend the title.

Nice to see everyone again been far to long.
Last fight was great fun
Sorry about the floor Alan
First of all a HUGE thank you to everybody who came, I know it was a long way for everybody! Great to see so many teams at a show so far away. I hope you all enjoyed it and I think the slightly different format of running the fight based competition was the best way to make the event abit different to others but still keeping it entertaining for the audience.
Well done to all my Saints and Sinners team mates for beating the Mighty Reds by one point to take the trophy home (Weston, you're sacked  ) Will get the full results up at some point.
As always big shout out to the crew, a big thank you to the Nipper guys for helping us out with the arena and captaining the S&S. Thanks to Ceri with helping on the arena, Jackie for her endless cups of tea and help on the merchandise and everybody else who helped out.
The arena modification worked well, kept alot of robots in the arena and made for longer fights but still gave us more than enough OOTAs.
Great to see Panic Attack making an appearance, and the Mute boys are back! (not that the arena floor is too happy about that...)
We had alot of problems in the lead up to the event with the venue management, then we had our website hacked on Friday night meaning very little sleep (Thanks to David for sorting it out), but in the end it all worked out and we even had a sell out show.
Once again, thank you all for coming, I know alot of you got home late. See you all at the UK Champs (make sure you have signed up!). I'm now off to bed...
