The protons are not at 0K otherwise they would be a a very low energy, it is only the magnets used to accelerate the particles that are supercold. Inorder that they are superconducting, to get the biggest field possible.
But it would be good it anti gravity tech was developed from this would make a cool new arena effect. Actually this could be done now with a superconducting magnet and pit of liquid nitrogen. As long as the robot was steel.
From the last LHC (before it was transformed 20 years ago) They discovered that Inside electrons in atoms are both energy and Quarks (no, I am not making this up) Now they are trying to find out what are inside quarks.
Ed, according to the diagram of the LHC that I have, the entire ring is kept around the 2K mark.

Even Gordon Freeman couldnt save us!
He probably had a day off. :-)
You wonder why every time you see these big experiments why there is a airport very nearby (theres one basically next door to it:blush:). Mabey its the LHC we should enter to the no rules class at the new battlebots.:-)
Well that was an eventful weekend.......
Friday night about 9.30pm Zach & Lukes dog ran out into the road and got hit by a car and ran. When it ran it didnt stop so we were out looking for it until about midnight.
Got up at 6.00am on Saturday, printed off a load of posters and set off sticking them up everywhere people would notice them. Entrances to the park, and en-route between the park and home. Spent until 10.00 out with Zach looking for him. Went and had breakfast and then went and had breakfast. Dabbled with Hydra and then went out to have another look. About 3.00, 4000 people turned up to watch Barnet at the football club everyone parking all over the area were hit and after about 10minutes I realised everyone coming in had seen the signs.........nothing.
This morning I was taking Zach to Games Day at Birmingham NEC so turned up at 8.00am and there on the doorstep was the dog!! Obviously injured but hed got there (avoiding just about eveybody in the Barnet area cos after our efforts Saturday morning I thin only the agraphobic in Barnet didnt know he was missing). Busted back leg, so off to the vetinary hospital. Hospital was closed so off to my mums to find one that was. Persuaded Mum to take dog to vets and set off to Birmingham.
Quite a good day and relatively good news on the dog whilst en-route but he does need to go back for some xrays just to be sure.
Anyway, you may think why is this nutter rambling on like this!! well, I did say Id do a bit of testing on the DX6i, DX5e and the AR500 receiver. Its just a note to say I havent done it but I have a good excuse!:uhoh:
Andy
