Oops, what happened there? I posted, realised I'd made a mistake, edited it and it's simply quoted it in a new post. Now I can't delete or edit.

Any news on the arena? Is it still on hold because of lack of polycarbonate?
Hi everyone
I am thinking of making one, but first i just need to clear up a few things.
Is there a size limit?
Are flamethrowers allowed?
If they are can i use a bunsen burner?
Thanks in advance
I think the answers will be
NO
NO
&
NO

would a sort of thwack bot be classed as having a wepon?
Ye it would be a weapon.
Ill get the polycarb ordered in a couple of week and put the arena in storage.
cheers.
any news on the arena yet?
Had abit of a change, the other motors couldn't take the stress of the hits so i've adjusted the setup

kenny lol thats just brilliantly made :)
same size as the others aswell?
yes mate
Looking good there Kenny
That thing will be on its fourth or fifth generation before many of us have even got our first ones complete! But it's looking good though, definitely an improvement with the motors. I'd always had reservations about the ability of the precision microdrives to cope with beetleweight mass and forces.
Just a quick question, roughly what size is everybody thinking of making their robot? if all goes well i should be cutting stuff tommorow so dont want to make it too small/big
Jack
Mines about 200mm Dia. This quite big I think. I think 180 is just over 200mm x 100mm ish
I want to know what banebots are doing with my controllers, I have 2 en route and its taking a long time, despite paying £12 postage for them
180's 200mm by 110mm so close tom, dave moulds ordered some banebots and there came in a week, you got a tracking number weston??
Will the arena be at a show this year?
hopefully,
first battle will be filmed at my unit 180 vs rc sir killalot :) , prob still lose.....
looks cool
Definitely a lot nippier than with the old motors. Should be good when it's complete, provided RC Killalot doesn't kick its arse 8)
Thats very nice Kenny, I suppose those motors are a bit more suited to kilobots than the Pololu motors.
BTW, I checked the UPS tracker, my controllers got into UK customs this morning, so I should get them soon.
And I have one done as well. The only thing we need now is an arena to run them in.
Bloody hell, it's on Speed! :P
Haha my BW dosent even go a 10th of that speed
my kilobot is sooooo slow but has great(ish) pushing power :proud:

cool, how heavy is it and how big is it?
it's about 900g without a battery. length 37, height 18.5cm, width 200 cm
jeasus! 2m wide? i hope thats a typo :?
oops meant 20cm wide
That isn't half bad actually :)
I'm confused, is the weight limit 1kg or 1.36kg? Do people call them Kilobots or Beetleweights?
1.362kg, the lower weight classes tend to be in a round pound(lb) weight
