Robot SMASH!!
Ming Die-Nasty vs. Razer
Are you kidding me? :proud:
Wedginator 6.0 vs. Wedge Devolution
+1>OMG :proud:
Just to remind everyone, Wedginator started out way back in 2002 on the RW Forum when I first joined there, so hes quite the veteran himself. Yeah, he kinda sucked, but lets face it, a lot of the bots did at that time, no offense. :proud:
Alright, now that that is out of the way...tactics.
Get under the skirts, preferably from the front/rear, corners, and toss over. Stand nearby and wait for him to self-right. I have more flips than he does, so hell run out after I flip him about 15 times. :proud: If we meet head on, Im sure I can push him away as we have equal power, but I have 6WD compared to his 4WD. Self-right if I get flipped, of course. Wedginator can self-right from any position, thats one beauty of having that design. The other is that I can flip him if he tries to have a go at my back, and then I can just slide the scoopy rear under his plate. Just make him stay away from the sides and I should be okay. :)
I wish Steve heaps of luck here, and Liam, you better make this damn battle epic, or Im suing. :proud:

Robot SMASH!!
Ming Die-Nasty vs. Razer
Razer to fight with the spirit of a car steered silver robot with a helicopter blade as a weapon...Ming to end up in the pit, potentially missing some bits.
Wedginator vs. Wedge Devolution
The full body flipper idea doesnt actually seem as though it would be that good against other flippers...Wedginator may get lucky, but Id have to go for Wedge to get the OOTA.

Robot SMASH!!
Tactics:
Um, buy a cloaking device, and put it in Ming.
Activate it, then press the pit release button. and hopefully shove Razer down the pit.
-
Robot SMASH!!
Sorry, but that just made me laugh.
-
Robot SMASH!!
He cant see me, so I can shove him down the pit with no damage from him resisting.
-
Robot SMASH!!

Robot SMASH!!
Mark, just give up at this. Youre hopeless.
Youd be a lot better off away from a forum where everybody hates you, or even better, improving upon your actions, which right now seems impossible for you to do.

A cloaking device...
freak
-
Robot SMASH!!
Well, theres nothing in the rules that says you cant use a cloaking device.
-
Robot SMASH!!
Yes! Fiar point, but theres nothing in the rules to do with animals, still, I dont enter Nitro-Gene riding on the back of a metal eating shark!
-
Robot SMASH!!
Maybe I should just equip Tira III with a lightsaber, in that case...
-
Robot SMASH!!
MDU with an atomic bomb :uhoh:
-
Robot SMASH!!
Theres also the fact that cloaking devices are kinda.... Non-existent.
Well, alright they exist, but unless Martjin uses radar for vision, they wont help much.
-
Robot SMASH!!
lololol someone needs to get a life...
-
Robot SMASH!!
Mark:
Are you being serious? Please say no.
If you really honestly are, I now believe that you are clinically insane.
-
Robot SMASH!!
Simple problem with cloaking devices: The oppponent cant see you, but you cant see your robot either. very difficult steering as roboteers that have tried driving their robots blind at Wicksteed park can testify. It was very funny though. People shouting Left Left and the robot turning right. :)

Special Event- Featherweight Final
Skink v T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L
Let€™s see how these two mighty minis made it this far...
1)Skink flipped Cunning Plan OOTA after it wedged itself under the grinder. Silly Joey!
2)T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L had a harder time with Arrgh, but still managed to clamp its opponent and dump it in the pit.
3)Skink returned in the semi-finals to flip Pillow Torque around the arena, taking some damage to the plastic armour, but dealing out enough of its own punishment to progress.
4)T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L took on Micro-Gore, who had previously destroyed Katnip. It was another tough match for Steven, but that extra 6kg granted by the tracks proved decisive and T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L went through.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L gets off to a quick start, using its grippy tracks to manoeuvre around the arena and press the pit release tyre. Skink on the other hand has wheels and now comes in from behind and throws Steven onto his back with that powerful co2 powered flipper! T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L quickly self-rights with the axe and comes on the attack itself, getting underneath with the scoop and once again slamming down with the axe, this time using it for its primary means and making a nice hole in the plastic armour of Skink! With a good hold with the axe, Steven uses the extra traction granted by his tracks to push Skink into the angle grinder, and when he pulls it away we see a cut in that armour! Team Wind Power need to get some proper armour on their featherweight if it€™s going to stand up to a robot like T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L, and now Martijn wriggles free by firing the flipper to loosen the axe€™s grip! Skink hurries away and turns to come back on yet another onslaught, getting underneath T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L from behind and flipping it again! Steven once again uses the axe to get back onto his wheels, but Skink was ready and now rams Steven into the corner, where he€™s flipped by the arena spike! Steven self-rights again, but Skink was ready and flips it again, stacking it on the wall so that the whole world can see T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L€™s underbelly! But once again the axe comes in handy as Steven frees himself and quickly gets out of the corner to turn around and come back on another attack, this time slamming in with the axe and lifting Skink high in to the air with a combined attack with the scoop!
Steven looks delighted at this major twist in the battle, and now carries Skink towards the pit of oblivion! The crowd are on the edge of their seats, yelling for T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L while Martijn weeps quietly up in his control booth. Then, his expression brightens as he sees a young lad in the front row screaming:
SKINK SKINK SKINK! He€™s overjoyed for a moment, then realises what the kid says next and frowns. DIE SKINK DIE!
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L finally gets to the perimeter of the pit, and turns around, lowering its scoop so that one side of Skink teeters on the edge! He then pulls the axe out and reverses, job done- or so he thinks! Skink is still on the edge, and uses its one useful wheel to pull itself around so that it€™s facing the pit and flips! The power knocks Skink back a little and Martijn escapes! He roars with joy and gives chase to T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L, who had been doing a premature victory spin! But now Steven rises to the challenge and comes back to meet Skink and they slam into each other head on!
CRASH!
Skink flies over the scoop of T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L, and Steven fires the axe at just the right time, hitting the bottom of Skink and knocking Martijn to the ground! The crowd gasp and Steven strikes again, clamping down with the axe to prevent Skink self-righting! He now pushes Skink again, for the final time right across the arena and with just five seconds left Skink falls into the pit of oblivion as T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L gets the featherweight gold medal!
THE FEATHERWEIGHT COMPETITION IS OVER!
We now go live to the podium, where Kody Kunz is receiving the bronze medal!

Heat Semi-Final 15/16:
Ming Die-Nasty v Razer
Ming Die-Nasty gave Mark is first win, can this robot with a useless drill give him his second victory? Mark planned to buy a cloaking device for this fight, but when he went down to the shop they called the police. Mark is currently in hospital listed as unstable.
Razer destroyed Terrorhurtz with ease in the eliminator, and will probably do the same to Ming Die-Nasty here. Ming was once a Razer clone, will the part bird, part reptile, and part machine get revenge here? Or will the two-time world champion decide that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Booth 1: Mark Elam
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5, 4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Razer gets the quicker start of the two robots, racing into the centre of the arena aggressively, hungry for Ming! Mark, however, doesn€™t hang around and heads for the pit release button, quickly hitting the tyre with its drill and trying to get away from Razer, who has come in from behind! Mark however turns away just in time and decides to play chicken with the pit like his last opponent did! Martijn comes in cautiously and makes a fake jab so that Mark races away for nothing! Now Razer follows and gets underneath the rear of Ming Die-Nasty and rams Mark into the angle grinder to keep him still before coming down with that dangerous arm and Mark tries to counter the move by raising his srimech, but Razer simply pushes down with far more force and snaps the arm in two! With the srimech out of the way Martijn brings the crusher down again, this time penetrating the body armour of Ming Die-Nasty and lifting Mark high into the air! Martijn reverses away from the angle grinder and toasts Mark on the flame pit, allowing Ming Die-Nasty to feel the heat! Now Ming falls off the crusher and escapes, and Mark makes a break for the perimeter of the pit again, and reaches his destination, only for Razer to come in from behind so as to push Ming away from the pit instead of falling for the desperate ploy. Mark pulls a clever U-turn and heads back off down the arena, but once more Razer pursues and chases Ming into the corner, where it is flipped by the arena spike! Mark is now out for the count, but Martijn is merciless to Ming and comes in with the crusher again, easily crunching into the armour and hoisting Ming€™s corpse into the air for all to see! The crowd roars with delight and Martijn dumps Ming on the floor flipper, where Mark is thrown for the full length of the arena and lands the right way up again, albeit stacked on the wall, from where he cannot move. All the same Razer comes in again and gets the wedge under one side so that Martijn can crush through the other wheels sideways! It€™s a very painful experience for Ming, and now Razer lifts Mark again, this time carrying him over to the pit he himself opened at the beginning of this bout and dumps him into the depths of the abyss!
RAZER GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!
Another battle of the realies goes Martijn€™s way and the crusher goes through!

Heat Semi-Final 16/16:
Wedginator 6.0 v Wedge Devolution
Wedginator 6.0 has been around since 2002 on the RW forums, will these 6 years of experience help the all-around front hinged flipper or will it be lights out?
Wedge Devolution is a very simplistic wedge flipper, but effective! Who will prevail here, the front hinged flipper of Wedginator 6.0 or the rear hinged flipper of Steven McGregor€™s Wedge Devolution?
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5, 4, 3, 2 ,1, SMASH!!
Both wedges get off the mark very quickly and circle each other like hawks, hunting their prey and preparing to strike! It€™s Wedginator that gets the first onslaught, driving in on the attack and using its six wheel drive to shove Wedge Devo into the corner, where Steven is flipped by the arena spike! Kody pushes him again, and he self-rights onto Wedginator€™s flipper, and Kody turns Steven over again! Wedge Devo self-rights, and as he does Wedginator drives in to flip again, but this time Kody is flipped by the spike and Wedge Devo now attacks his flipped adversary, getting underneath just as Kody self-rights, but onto Wedge Devo, who lets it fly!
CRASH!
Kody flies upwards and comes down to earth with a bump onto the angle grinder, and he seems to be beached on there now!
There€™s a spark of malice in Steven€™s eye as he heads towards the stacked Wedginator, who is desperately firing its own flipper into thin air in an attempt to get off the wall! Steven carefully slips his flipping plate underneath the rear scoop of Wedginator 6.0, which looked so good in the eliminator, vanquishing the hot favourite The 6isc. But Wedge Devolution looked just as powerful taking on Woodpecker, and the rear hinged flipper is now poised on the brink of a place in the Heat H final to take on Razer! Easy does it....
Wedge Devo is now fully underneath and Wedginator has given up trying to free itself, perhaps to conserve gas if by some miracle its wheels touch the ground again in this close match. Steven readies himself triumphantly and reaches for the button; his fingers get there and...
FLIP!
Wedginator 6.0 sails over the barrier and out of the competition! Wedge Devolution goes through to the Heat H final to meet Razer for that last place in the series finals! No one perhaps expected that turn-around by Steven McGregor, will he get a second robot into the finals of Robot SMASH!!? He€™s beaten Woodpecker and Wedginator 6.0, to get through he€™ll have to beat Razer the rampaging realie!
A SHORT MATCH AND WEDGE DEVO GOES THROUGH!!

Special Event- Middleweight Final
Life v Solstice 2.0
Lets look back and see how these two manical middleweights got this far!
1) Life threw Hazard onto its back and out of the heats.
2) Solstice 2.0 had a much tougher draw with Killoteeny, but prevailed by shredding Stevens middleweight creation.
3) Life had a hard battle with Doorstop, but won on a JD.
4) Solstice 2.0 never relented with its endless atttacks on T-Minus, which was left going in circles!
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Solstice starts spinning up, but Joey tries a box-rush and storms across the arena, slamming Solstice into the grinder! Kody is ruffled, but quickly runs away and spins up before Life can come in on another onslaught. Now Joey looks worried, as the hunter has become the hunted as Solstice chases Life around the arena, trying to get into that rear armour! But Joey keeps the wedge towards Kody and keeps driving away, and he reverses just to behind the arena floor flipper! But Solstice doesnt fall for it and tries to get around the flipper, but now Life reverses away again! Solstice pursues, and chases Life into the corner, where Joey is flipped by the arena spike! He hits the flipper button to self-right, but as Life bounces back to the ground in comes Solstice 2.0 with the weapon spinning at full power!
CRASH!
That 3mm aluminium baseplate is smashed and Life is slammed into the arena wall, and falls back onto its tracks! Solstice has already spun up again and now crashes into the rear 5mm titanium on Life!
CRASH!
The back panel and wheelie bar are torn clean off, and now Life turns around to attack Solstice before Kody can spin up again!
FLIP!
Over goes Solstice, but Lifes flipper was only under the blades, and without the wheelie bar Joeys middleweight goes onto its back again!
CRASH!
Once again Joey tried to self-right, but was slammed by Solstices powerful weaponry and now it seems a motor has been ripped out from the bottom of Life! Joey self-rights and tries to come back on the attack, but can only go in circles now so Kody spins up again and with Lifes limited movement Joey is out-driven and Solstice slams into the side of Life, ripping that panel off too! And now Life is venting gas, it seems that the nitrogen supply was ruptured by that attack, and now Life is weaponless! The crowd want to count Life out of the middleweight final!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
Solstice does a victory spin and wins the Robot SMASH!! middleweight title!

Heat H Final
Razer v Wedge Devolution
How did these two robots get this far?
1) Razer grappled Terrorhurtz and immobilised the mad-axe bot.
2) Wedge Devolution had a tougher fight with Woodpecker, eventually throwing it around enough to win.
3) Razer had an easy bout with Ming Die-Nasty, causing maximum destruction.
4) Wedge Devolution had a hard match with Wedginator, but scored an OOTA.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both these vapourboteers already have a robot in the finals, and both of them wants to be the one to get two in there! Wedge Devolution is the faster of the two, and Steven shows this quality now by zooming around and flipping Razer over, but it spins a full sideways 360 and lands on its wheels! Martijn now launches an onslaught of his own, getting underneath the side skirt of Wedge Devo and using the crusher to get a vice grip on its opponent! Razer now pushes Steven into the pit release tyre, and Wedge Devo fires the flipper to try and get free! He doesnt escape entirely, but just loosens Razers grip enough to get some wheels on the ground to get away! Razer pursues, but Steven gets around the side again and once more flips Razer, who this time lands on his side! The srimech starts going, but Wedge Devo gets underneath again and fires the flipper once more!
CRASH!
Razer flies into the air and comes crashing down on the edge of the pit, but on his wheels! Martijn escapes, but Wedge Devo catches up and flips Razer again! And this time he forgets about flipping Razer again, this time pushing Martijn towards the wall before he does! And now Razer is stacked on the wall, but Martijn uses the rear tail to get down, albeit he lands on his side and in comes Wedge Devo before he even gets a chance to kick that srimech into action!!!!
FLIP!
Razer somersaults gracefully over the barrier and Wedge Devo goes through!
THE LAST HEAT IS OVER!
The Quarter-Final Draws:
1) Liar 2 v Wedge Devolution
2) Supreme Glory Omega v Storm II
3) Seung Mina IV v Nidhogg
4) ISDSFA v Whirligig 4.5
-
Robot SMASH!!
Damn it Kody, you again :lame: Good luck anyways...
TICTACS:
Ill avoid the front - my 2 wheel drive versus her four should give me better maneuvrability to do that, and get around the sides, try and go for the areas without skirts, although I might be able to get under the skirts with the forks. Break her traction by lifting with the forks, grasp on to her with the crusher, possibly breaking the flipper for the hell of it, and offer to be Seung Minas escort on an all-expenses paid round the world romantic holiday, starting with the arena flaoor and taking in a range of sites including Paris, Sydney and Pit Release, and finishing in Pit. :proud:
-
Robot SMASH!!
Fights of A+ GSCE grade of awesomeness :proud: Now for predictions and tactics.
The Quarter-Final Draws:
1) Liar 2 v Wedge Devolution: Unless Liar proves me wrong and gets under those skirts, Im going for Wedge to get underneath and push Liar to the edge for an honest OOTA .
2) Supreme Glory Omega v Storm II: ARGHHHHH!!! I dont believe this! Not SGO again! Why is this Daniel? Why do I face Private Stickler and LOSE! Ive got a grudge to settle here...and 2 other grudges :proud:. I think that I got unlucky with D.V.D in the heat, and I plan to get revenge by using D.V.Ds tactics from the heat - ram into it in a direction its turret ISNT facing, and plough it into the walls. Try and keep SGO on top of Storm 2, and put it in the pit - no fancy stuff, just a quick, clean victory is what I have planned.
Good luck Daniel...Ill need it
3) Seung Mina IV v Nidhogg: Ohhhhhhh...a tough fight to predict...Nidhogg to shock us and immobilise the Easter Bunnies chosen good boy. :proud:
4) ISDSFA v Whirligig 4.5: Ill go for ISDSFA, as it can resist Whirligigs blades and put it down the pit.
Good fights Liam...CANT WAIT FOR SEMIS! :proud:

Robot SMASH Quarter-finals
Liar 2 v Wedge Devolution
I think Wedge Devo can get by easily here.
Supreme Glory Omega v Storm II
Err...oh boy, I think Storm II has the advantage , in terms of speed and pushability anyway.
Seung Mina IV v Nidhogg
We meet again, Mr. McConnell...its do or die for both of us. :proud:
First of all, its shaped almost like Lightning from Series 7, meaning its sides and rear are just asking to be attacked. Otherwise, its exactly like my own vapourbot, Killobite 5.0. I dont think the spikes will be of use here, so its back to the flipping plate for Seung Mina. Also what will come into play is the power issue. More often than not our clearance will cancel out and well be at a standstill. Hes got C40-300 MagMotors @ 24v and 2 wheels. Seung Mina IV has 2 LEM130s @ 48v, and 4 wheels. Obvious who has the more power, eh? Main tactics: RAM! PUSH! FLIP! RAM SOME MORE! FLIP!
Go for OOTA, in other words. :proud:
Good luck Joey. :)
ISDSFA v Whirligig 4.5
Whirligig to win. :proud:
-
Robot SMASH!!
WEDGE DEVOLUTION - See Chaos 2 VS Wheely Big Cheese. My four wheels should beat the axlebots two and that narrow flipper will have a hard time getting under me. Keep to the sides and rear, ram to the nearest wall and throw like theres no tomorrow.
WHIRLIGIG 4.5 - Kill it. :proud:
-
Robot SMASH!!
Quarter-Final 1/4:
Liar 2 v Wedge Devolution
Liar 2 is the powerful flipping axlebot with thwackbot capabilities. How did Martijn bring this powerful vapour to the quarter-finals?
-In the eliminator he had an easy bout with Cyrilium 2, which ended up OOTA very quickly.
-In the heat semi-final Liar 2 had a tougher match with Weapon Synergy, but eventually 20kg was deemed to be too light for each cluster and they were flipped sky-high.
-In the heat final Liar 2 met Gabriel II, a fellow flipper, who was beaten after a hard fight.
Wedge Devolution is also a flipper, but a more practical wedge design. How did Steven bring this robot through Heat H?
-The eliminator round so him drawn up against Woodpecker, which caused some damage, but was defeated by the sheer strength of the flipper and the effectiveness of the simple design.
-A much harder fight followed in the heat semi-finals with Wedginator 6.0. Wedge Devo started badly, but eventually stacked Kody and threw him OOTA to win.
-Razer had had an easy route to the heat final, but Wedge Devolution put a stop to his reign of terror, making use of its superior speed and agility to out-manoeuvre the ex-world champions.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!
The first of our two quarter-finalists get off the mark, patrolling the edge of the arena, surveying each other to try and seek out any weak spots from afar. Wedge Devolution goes on the attack first, heading straight for Liar 2 and getting under the side!
FLIP!
Over goes Martijn, but Liar 2 is invertible and gets behind Wedge Devolution to get a flip of its own in!
FLIP!
Wedge Devo goes up and comes crashing down onto its wheels, and now turns to face Martijn again, ramming in and flipping Liar 2 again, before continuing the onslaught and flipping it onto the angle grinder! Liar 2 drives away and Wedge Devo pursues, getting underneath and using the flipper again! Liar 2 flops over once more, and Martijn is beginning to feel the heat now as Wedge Devo attacks again, flipping Liar onto the flame pit! In desperation Liar 2 starts spinning, and in goes Wedge Devo!
CRASH!
One of the spikes on Liar 2 gets stuck under Wedge Devo€™s flipper, and Martijn pulls Steven onto the flame pit! Wedge Devo fires the flipper and reverses out of trouble, but Martijn follows and flips Steven into the corner! Wedge Devo quickly self-rights, but is flipped again by the arena spike, so when he self-rights again Liar 2 has arrived in the corner! Seeing no other way out Steven slams into Liar and fires the flipper, lifting Liar 2 a little of the ground so that Steven can escape! But Martijn isn€™t fooled and continues its pursuit of Wedge Devolution, getting underneath again and sending Steven into a forwards somersault across the arena and straight into the pit release button! Wedge Devo self-rights and turns to meet Liar 2, this time getting in underneath and throwing Martijn over! Steven follows up that attack, flipping Liar 2 again and ramming it into the corner where it is flipped by the arena spike back onto Wedge Devo€™s flipper, and Steven obliges again, this time Liar 2 balances on the barrier for a moment before falling back into the arena! Martijn goes into another spin, but this time he just knocks Wedge Devolution away, and Steven quickly gets back in on the attack and flips Liar 2 so that Martijn is stacked on the arena wall! The crowd gasps- is Liar 2 going the same way as Wedginator 6.0 did back in Heat H?
No is the answer, as Liar 2 uses its flipper to get down off the wall and spins again, thwacking Wedge Devo€™s side armour. But the armour holds up well and Steven gets under Liar 2 again, this time throwing him into the corner, where Martijn is stacked by the spike! And now it seems Steven has a chance as one of Liar 2€™s spikes is hooking it to the wall, and in drives Wedge Devolution to finish this match off!
FLIP!
Liar 2 hits the macrolon protecting the audience and slides down the wall slowly, finally coming to rest on the camera tracks. The crowd roars with delight while Martijn bangs his head on the side of the booth in frustration, and in the other booth Steven jumps up and down in glee!
WEDGE DEVOLUTION IS THE FIRST SEMI-FINALIST!
Steven€™s wedge design was too practical for Liar 2, and Martijn finds himself OOTA and out of the competition!

Quarter-Final 2/4:
Supreme Glory Omega v Storm II
Supreme Glory Omega reached the quarter-finals by:
-Smashing through Dead Horse Beater€™s 4mm polypropylene base armour
-Dealing D.V.D a one-hit KO
-And decimating the hot heat favourites, All Scoop and no Stab make Steve a dull boy
Storm II is the only realie to make it past the heats, how did it manage that?
-Rolled Haardvark around with ease
-Surprised everyone by taking out Tempest Evil-est-oution in the heat semi-final
-Springing another surprise on us in the heat final by goring Super Gore Evo
Booth 1: Daniel Stickler
Booth 2: Paul Cuomo
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!
Storm II speeds off the mark and races around the arena, trying to attack SGO from the side! Paul rams in, but Daniel moves aside and Storm II finds itself in the corner, where it is flipped by the arena spike! The wedge is now useless, and its SGO doing the chasing as Storm II hurries away as fast as its six wheels will carry it! But Daniel uses skilful driving to get Paul up in the corner once more and he is flipped by the spike again! Paul tries to ram his way out of that position, but SGO brings the axe down hard onto Storm II€™s bodywork, piercing the top armour! But still Storm pushes on, and Paul presses the pit release button! Daniel senses it€™s time to get the axe out and does so, only to bring it crashing down onto Storm II again! And this time Daniel has jammed it between two wheels, and Storm is having difficulty pushing now! Daniel holds the axe in there and pushes Paul onto the flame pit, and as the flames dance on Storm II€™s armour Daniel takes the axe out and reverses away, ready to attack again if need be! Paul, however, seems to be having control problems and merely turns to face SGO, but it seems he€™s stuck on the flame pit! Taking advantage of this SGO comes in from the side and strikes again, this time getting a direct hit on one of the front wheels and dragging Storm II towards the pit! But Paul seems to be coming back a bit in power now and wriggles free, reversing away, albeit limping a bit from the damage on that tyre! SGO, meanwhile feels that it hasn€™t caused Storm II enough pain and pursues, catching up with the injured realie and bringing that formidable axe down onto the shell of Paul€™s quarter-finalist again, piercing the top armour once more! Storm II fires the lifter in protest, but it€™s not underneath Supreme Glory and Daniel continues to push Storm II across the arena, this time into the angle grinder! And when SGO pulls that deadly axe out of Storm II Paul does nothing at all! There€™s no movement from the little rambots, so SGO goes in again!
CRASH!
That hit slammed through the armour again, and there seems to be something smashed all over Storm II- it€™s the batteries! These axe onslaughts have done no good to Storm II€™s internal workings and now it seems Paul€™s hopes of Robot SMASH!! Glory are over, though Daniel€™s broad grin suggests things are just beginning for him!
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, IMMOBILE!
Storm II is out for the count, Supreme Glory Omega€™s axe was way too powerful for the surprisingly good realie who must now leave the arena in bits! Paul€™s Robot SMASH!! Campaign becomes the third to end after Mark and Martijn have already bitten the dust.
THE SECOND QUARTER-FINAL IS OVER!
Storm II eliminated, SGO the winner!
