Liam, those tactics sound like a plan - Ill just keep the scoop on Squishiest and lift it over, and over, and over - bascially just keep trying to bully it until I can get it in the pit or lifted over the sidewall.
Then if youve still got your hands full with May Tracks Ill come and say hi :)
No worries about the hypo Kody - this was a pretty large tournament and to keep it going at 100% all the time is a fair challenge I can imagine. Looking forward to some woot-worthy finals fights though :)

Sure Frank, pretty much what I was thinking beforehand.
Firefly & System Shock vs. Squishiest & The May Tracks Has You: Focus my attacks on Firefly - get underneath it, crush (if I hit the wheels, bonus! :proud:) and try to take it to the pit.
Leprosy Infection & Axe to Fall vs. Dervish V & Dead Horse Beater - Focus my attacks on Axe to Fall - hit the weak armour, hopefully flip it (if I disable the axe, bonus! :proud:) and try and immobolize it.
Dont worry Martijn. Mega Masher has fought SoR X twice before and the damage was minimal. Box-rushing is what Mega Masher was designed for.
Right, Aaron. If you werent skeptical about this tournament, then Im QUITE sure you would have tried to get some different entrants in instead of entering those god damned 8 Infusions for a joke.
I was actually just short on time and didnt want to hold the tournament up like others tend to do.

I actually entered Death Threat eight times this tournament. I was just a bit more inventive with the names.
The I changed the weapons, for a bit of variety.
I also made Sithis a cylinder, due to the difficulties of a square ring-spinner, and made Cat with Wheels a wedge. for similar reason.
Then I turned Axes of Evil into a hexagon, because I like the number six. And replaced Lethal Execution with Lethal Injection, which is actually nothing like Death Threat, on the grounds that it hadnt yet been written, and replaced Leviathan and Blue Sparks with realies for the same reason.
Then I changed the motors and armour a bit, and replaced the tracks with wheels in a few places.
But other than that, total clones of each other.
Frankly, Im amazed no one called me out on it.
Aaron - Meh, I accepted them in the end so its rather my fault, and theres nothing anybody can do about it now, so Ill just go ahead and shut up. :P

As Aaron mentioned earlier, we are both armoured pretty well. So the chances of Tengu and Killotine causing any major damage to us is unlikely. It is probably best if Infusion goes after Tengu, as it can use its big armoured wedge to stall the ring and shove it around with the boost. Maybe once the spinning speed has slowed down I can get a few flips in on Tengu and try to throw it OOTA. Otherwise, Im left with Killy. Just the usual tactics, push it around and flip it skywards.
Time to finish up what has been a rather pathetic attempt at a major€¦ :P

The Finals are on! Here€™s GeForce from Team SpunOut, clashing straight into Killotine, of Team Vengeance For All. The spatula and titanium blade meet€¦and stay that way, which is perfectly fine for Killotine because WHACK goes the axe and smacks into the 3.25mm Hardox, but it€™s rather ineffective, only a very slight dent, a nick, if you will, and now GeForce starts to push Killotine back; they may have the same drive system, but GeForce runs its LEM130s on 48 volts, while Killotine does 36 volts. It€™s tight, though, and Killotine is only being forced slowly back€¦down comes the axe again, but I don€™t see how that axe is going to do much damage against that monocoque. Killotine fires again, but still rather ineffective; it€™s hit in the exact same spot yet hasn€™t made the dent any bigger, really. GeForce almost has Killotine to the wall, and Steve gives the wedge another whack, before his rounded end greets the arena wall€¦and GeForce can€™t seem to tilt Killotine over! Killotine is still pushing, and the axe comes down a fifth time, and hey! There€™s some damage! Thanks to Killotine, a rather visible dent is now seen in the flipper of GeForce, as the latter now retreats away and gives the former some breathing room. GeForce backs all the way across the arena and tags Infusion, as Killotine, pausing, decides to tackle Infusion as well.
However, this attempt turns sour at once: Infusion reacts by rammng into Killotine€™s front end, and immediately the spatula is foiled. Killotine lets fly a whack with the axe, rather futile on the extra 0.75mm of Hardox Infusion has over his teammate before Steve€™s bot gets wedged, carried all the way across the arena, and mashed into the arena wall! Killotine bounces off the side, lucky to avoid beng missed by the nearby Disc of Death, before coming into contact with another deadly weapon: the spinning Hardox rim of Infusion that mashed several opponents before!
CRASH!!!
And the results speak for themselves! Killotine might have the same weapon, not nearly the same weapon power! It€™s not done a whole lot of damage, even cosmetic damage, but it has rocketed Killotine across the arena by the sheer kinetic force exuded from the spinning rim! Killotine spins around, obvously shaken but not in the mood to go screaming off to the Scotland Yard just yet. He charges straight towards Infusion, who has the wedge pointed, but Aaron€™s bot triumphs once again in this regard, the spatula fails, tilts, and Killotine is again wedged. Firing the axe, however, dislodges the box and it falls off of Infusion, who was in mid-charge and nearly sends himself into the wall! Killotine, seizing the moment, stuffs the spatula into Infuson€™s spinning rim, and€¦.no crash! Infusion€™s spun itself up onto the wedge, and WHACK! Killotine€™s got it! The wheel slot is nicked, whacked, and caught! Steve is overjoyed, and Killotine spins around to take Infusion towards the pit release button€¦and doesn€™t see GeForce come flying in from behind! WHAM! GeForce craters into Killotine€™s rear end, sending Killotine into the pit release button itself, and now Tengu enters the fray for the first time, fully spun. GeForce slides under the rear skirt and end of Killotine, tossing it over and breaking its hold on Infusion completely. It then turns€¦but not quick enough, and Alex smacks the side!
CRASH!!!
GeForce is flung away, a slight dent in the armour but nothing else. It has however turned its attentions to the full-body spinner, and now chases Tengu down. Tengu barely gets out of the way but its blades get stopped in the process, and now GeForce moves in to punish it. The aluminium foam skirts of Tengu pose no trouble for the titanium blade of GeForce, as it is wedged, and a gigantic flip later, Tengu is in the other end of the arena, and on its back! As it self-rights, Infusion plows into it with a wedged Killotine and pushes them both into the arena wall! GeForce€™s reaction is abrupt; he plows towards and into Killotine and flips it off of Infusion€™s wedge, resulting in Infusion actually sliding under Tengu and wedging it instead. Infusion spins around and Tengu starts to fall off the wedge€¦only to get hit by the rim!
CRASH!!!
That didn€™t look good. The underside was hit there, and€¦something just got knocked out of place, I€™m quite sure! Tengu ain€™t moving€¦but Killotine has rammed Infusion from the side! The axe has come down! Infusion is grappled! GeForce seems not to notice, and is flipping Tengu over again, and again! Killotine pushes Infusion into the pit release button, which of course opens that pit and starts to move him over to that hole! GeForce is distracted enough wth Tengu, and tosses it into an empty CPZ, and as Killotine approaches the pit, GeForce once again tosses Tengu up, and this time over the wall. Alex€™s pain is quite lessened however when he sees Infusion dumped into the pit by his teammate, Killotine.
Now GeForce comes back to earth, (not literally of course) as Killotine turns its attentions to him as well. They meet, greet, and this time Killotine DOES get under GeForce! It€™s wedged instantly, and wasting no time Steve brings the axe into play on the previously and mildly dented flipper, denting it a little more, and now GeForce is carried towards the pit! GeForce fires its flipper, and this turns out to be a blessing as it flicks the axe away, and GeForce rides straight up onto Killotine, off the side, and away! Steve can€™t believe it; he growls and Killotine turns, anxious to get its spatula back into GeForce€™s face again. GeForce turns also, but not quickly enough. The spatula bups into the skirt, and gets under it, but GeForce gets away before Killotine can further press its advantage.
Killotine speeds away after the €˜Force, as Andy spins his machine around, not to get caught not facing its opponent. Both fronts connect, and like before, neither can get under the other, but GeForce has that slight power advantage and€¦is unable to capitalize on it, by the looks of it. Killotine is pushing back, and neither are going anywhere fast. Andy fires the flipper as Steve fires the axe€¦and oh my! Killotine bounces up off the floor! The plate of GeForce, just barely, got enough grip on the spatula of Killotine to flick it upwards, and Andy speeds under with all his might! The area where the axe hit GeForce is dented as well as the flipper, but that€™s okay because GeForce has Killotine where he wants him€¦oh yes. He€™s wedged Killotine, and is bringing him to the wall! And€¦it€™s over! Killotine is tossed over the wall, and out! GeForce spins around happily, as Aaron acknowledges his teammate€™s triumph with the thumbs up, which Andy returns.

Killotine: EVO gets chopped down a peg, whilst Tengu VII might have better luck cutting hair than robots. :proud:

Hell breaks loose as both Back to Rock and Mega Masher exit their spots and make a gangway for the opposing team! MeCannibal tries to spin up as fast as it can but Mega Masher is in its face€¦or would have been, if Phoenix Down had not attacked its side, and the lifting forks do their dirty work already, lifting under the skirts of Mega Masher and throwing it over! Back to Rock smacks into Phoenix Down€™s side in return, and throws IT over! Being invertible, that really doesn€™t bother Phoenix Down, and Paul smiles as MeCannibal has reached full speed now. Mega Masher, being invertible as well, isn€™t THAT affected by the flip given by Phoenix Down, and continues to move in on MeCannibal with the inverted wedge. Though rather shaky, MeCannibal barely manages to avoid the charge and smacks into the side of Mega Masher with all his might!
CRASH!!!
And the might is good! It€™s smacked into the side of Mega Masher and sent it away across the arena floor, quite far as well! And Phoenix Down backs into MeCannibal who€™s just started to re-enact his impersonation of Mauler 5150 but is stabilized by his teammate. Back to Rock however gives Phoenix Down no more time to pull an evasive manoeuvre, getting to the side and lifting it up onto MeCannibal, who scuttles away and Phoenix Down lands back down. Mega Masher appears to be quite shaken up by that smack by the ring, I wonder, has some control been lost? MeCannibal is spinning up again but Back to Rock has Phoenix Down where it wants him and lifts it onto the arena wall. He€™s going for the OOTA! MeCannibal struts over as fast as he can, as Mega Masher regains control, the side not really dented but still pretty scratched, and hurtles back onto the scene himself. Back to Rock lifts Phoenix Down up the wall€¦and along it! It€™s not a straight lift and Phoenix Down lands back in! MeCannibal looks VERY unstable right now€¦Back to Rock turns but not quickly enough, as Paul€™s machine is just too damn close!
CRASH!
The side skirt is ripped away like a poster off a bulletin board, but Back to Rock hasn€™t really moved at that€¦now he is! He€™s turned towards the spinner, snuck under that skirt, and lifted it up! Of course, he hadn€™t counted on Phoenix Down attacking the skirtless side! Mega Masher in return smacks the wedge into Phoenix Down€™s own side, and it€™s a real heave-ho here, Back to Rock lifting MeCannibal, Phoenix Down lifting Back to Rock, and Mega Masher wedging Phoenix Down! And Mega Masher puts his drivetrain to good use! It powers Phoenix Down into the wall, slamming it hard against the polycarbonate. This however releases the pressure on Back to Rokc, who drops MeCannibal as it itself plops down on the ground. MeCannibal is shuffling along, and Back to Rock rams it, but this time can€™t€¦push it. The shufflers, it seems, have dug onto the floor and provided enough traction to halt Back to Rock€™s approach. Back to Rock activates the lifter and is finally able to push MeCannibal away€¦and smack it into Mega Masher€™s disc!
CRASH!!!
And that turns Mega Masher back onto its right side! Do remember that the disc was spinning down, folks, so the force smacked Chris€™ Masher onto his wheels and left MeCannibal with a rather nasty dent. It also leaves Back to Rock without his prey, and MeCannibal is still scuttling away trying to spin up again. Mega Masher goes to attack MeCannibal instead and Back to Rock turns its attentions to Phoenix Down. Joey however ain€™t paying him the damnest of attention, and is intent on smacking the living hell out of Mega Masher! Chris isn€™t fast enough as Joey slides in and gets under those skirts. Paul is happy as he€™s been bought enough time to spin up€¦and MeCannibal is looking dangerous and albeit unstable again! Martijn contemplates the situation and decides to attack Phoenix Down again, but Joey backs off before Back to Rock can take advantage. Oh no, Martijn, get out of the way, Paul€™s spinner is there! It backs off itself, and Paul brings his shuffler into play again.
Mega Masher knows he has the better armour of him and his partner, and again rushes MeCannibal, only for Phoenix Down, who also knows that, to ram into Chris yet again€¦but this time, the skirts defeat the forks. Phoenix Down IS, however, able to push Mega Masher into the arena wall with resounding force! WHAM! The tracks of Phoenix Down vibrate with the collision but not as much as Mega Masher€™s entire chassis, and Back to Rock attacks Phoenix Down again. Joey turns his machine to soundly greet Martijn€™s, and they meet head-on. Oof. Neither can get under the other. Mega Masher gathers its wits again and drives the vertical disc into Phoenix Down€™s side before Joey can get out of there€¦just as MeCannibal approaches Back to Rock from the rear! Martijn gasps and tries to make a reverse U-Turn, but much too late.

Paul and Chris will not have their destructive capabilities denied any more! Phoenix Down just had one of his own skirts removed and was flipped over as well, while Back to Rock€™s entire titanium rear panel is torn right off and the bot is sent spinning away! Of course, MeCannibal is sent into its crazy dance again, but it€™s stopped€¦and is still moving; Paul mops his brow. Only now do we know who€™s really winning€¦and it looks to be Team Chevron Insanity. Phoenix Down is still moving as well, relatively sluggish but mobile. Back to Rock is stationary€¦temporarily? No. It€™s not making any effort to reclaim life€¦which it doesn€™t have! The Watcher is there on the spot and counting it out!

The house robots attack as Mega Masher turns around, Chris angered by this turn of events, and smacks into Phoenix Down€™s front end, surprisingly getting under it and pushing it towards the arena side wall. MeCannibal is back into the fray, ring spinning, as Phoenix Down tries to get off the wedge. It does so, but Chris quickly brings the rear disc into play as Joey attempts make his getaway, which is unsuccessful!
CRASH!!!
And Phoenix Down is bashed into the wall! Mega Masher doesn€™t even turn to use the wedge but pins Phoenix Down there, side-pinned, with the disc. MeCannibal madly stomps towards his ailing partner; Chris backs off, turns around, and brings wedge into play against MeCannibal; unlike the start of the match, MeCannibal can€™t shuffle away quickly enough, and Chris gives him his just desserts!
CRASH!
A deflecting blow off the wedge, and Chris brings him to the wall! Now MeCannibal is pinned side on and completely helpless. But then, what are teammates for? :proud: Phoenix Down enjoys the fact that he was ignored for a second, and rams into Mega Masher€™s disc end, momentarily stopped, and lifts Mega Masher up€¦it€™s got the wheel holes! The disc begins spinning€¦and IS spinning, quite madly and getting faster, but it€™s not hitting anything when its owner is being lifted into the air by the front end! Phoenix Down carefully positions him, and backs iinto MeCannibal, shoving him€¦off the wall. Meanwhile, Matilda has placed Back to Rock on the floor flipper€¦3€¦2€¦1€ ¦FLIP! Back to Rock is sent for a joyride, bouncing, bouncing, and ultimately onto his back. MeCannibal starts spinning up again as Taki strolls by, lifting Back to Rock onto his dead wheels, and Phoenix Down starts to lower Mega Masher€¦who suddenly falls off! Chris sees his bot fall in front of Phoenix Down, wedge-first, and turns to get the disc into play, but Phoenix Down plunges into the side, unable to get under it but able to push the machine€¦INTO BACK TO ROCK!!!

Oh how ironic€¦Joey has rightly insulted the opposing team, attacking the already robot with its teammates€™ own spinning disc! Back to Rock is tossed up and over, the titanium side dented but otherwise fine. It€™s already out though€¦and Phoenix Down€¦pushes Mega Masher€¦nowhere! Mega Masher gets away. MeCannibal scuttles around Matilda who backs into the pit release button! Ripping it to shreds in the process! :proud: Remember, €˜Tildy, it€™s not your arena! :wink: Taki now shoves Back to Roc - hey hey hey! Phoenix Down is attacking the house robot! What d€™you think you€™re doing, son? Mega Masher uses this distraction as an opportunity and barges in, sliding under Phoenix Down€™s rear with the wedge and€¦can€™t push Phoenix Down into the pit. Phoenix Down has wedged Taki, who€™s wedged Back to Rock€¦and MeCannibal is given its chance! It closes in on Mega Masher, who turns€¦but not quickly enough!

MeCannibal is sent flying again, and Mega Masher is rebounded off Matilda€™s tusks, settling down in an empty CPZ, but comes back in on the attack. Phoenix Down pushes Taki and Back to Rock€¦down the pit! Matilda moves in for revenge, but MeCannibal bumps into her. Matilda turns on him instead, and lifts him up€¦only for Phoenix Down to attack Matilda€™s side! The Watcher bumps into Phoenix Down from the rear, blocking Mega Masher€™s attack in the process, with a €˜Hey! You can€™t do that and get away with it, sonny jim!€™ nudge. But time is getting away, and quite quickly I might add.

System Shock is immediately away, almost before Activate was called€¦and Liam€™s intent is obviously clear. The tracked machine of Team Operation Devastation smacks heavily into the pit release button before any of the other three competitors even think of moving! As the noise we are familiar with fills the arena, the other machines spring to life. First is May Tracks, who screams towards Firefly quickly! Firefly moves about, possibly trying to combat the charge with one of his own, but May Tracks has the leverage on his side for sure, and Firefly is gotten under and flipped! It lands upside-down but barely has time to move before another flick of the May Tracks weaponry sends Firefly right onto its proper side! May Tracks however is unable to full wedge Firefly and bring those deadly wheel-killing spikes into action, and Frank is perturbed€¦
There€™s some talking going on between Frank and Dan in their control booth, and Dan nods. Squishiest finally makes a move and heads towards System Shock who€™s turned around and gone for May Tracks! May Tracks jets out of the way as System Shock juts through, but Liam gets back in Frank€™s face as System Shock chases May Tracks down. May Tracks whips around but the scoop proves the lower, and May Tracks is shunted onto it. Liam shoves it into the arena wall but backs away as Squishiest makes an appearance, Dan cursing his luck as Liam escapes. Firefly is on the attack on May Tracks again, who attacks him in return! System Shock veers in from the right side suddenly, and shoves May Tracks again! Those skirts deflect the scoop up onto them, but System Shock still pushes May Tracks around, and again into the arena wall!
Firefly comes in to join it but Squishiest tackles it away before starting on System Shock, slipping under the flimsy 1mm titanium skirt and chomping down on the main 4mm Hardox body! Much to the relief of Liam, the claw is halted by the armourment somewhat; it sinks about a few centimetres before pausing, seemingly unable to pierce the top any further! May Tracks is still pegged against the wall, and his teammate is under pressure from Firefly now, who€™s lifted under IT€™S rear and hauled Squishiest up! System Shock goes up with it, and May Tracks is finally released€¦but only goes back a few inches before going right back into the scoop of System Shock. Squishiest is tilted over finally by Firefly€™s lifter and System Shock goes with it, Daniel unwilling to relinquish his vicegrip on the tracked machine. Possibly wanting to have another go, and at the tracks, but Firefly is pushing the two across the arena, Squishiest on its side, and unable to use the €˜wings€™ properly due to being pushed, as Firefly reaches the spot it hoped for: Cassius Chrome€™s CPZ! The house robot slams into Squishiest, ironically righting it€¦onto Firefly! And that€™s loosened the grip on System Shock! Squishiest tumbles off but is wedged again by the house robot€™s shovel, and shoved!
May Tracks won€™t have any of this, however, and before Jamie knows what€™s happened, the tracked flipper has dashed to the rear of Firefly,and though still unable to wedge it fully and rip the tires with the spikes, tips it over€¦tipping Squishiest back over in the process! :proud: Cassius Chrome pushes Squishiest across the arena for a bit, before bolting back towards May Tracks, who€™s in the way, and rams it into the CPZ, €˜punching€™ it with the €˜fists€™. However May Tracks is beached on the shovel; firing the flipper does no good, and Firefly makes good on its threat, moving in, lifting May Tracks up, and sending it straight over the wall, and out! Frank facepalms quite visibly, and now it€™s all balls on Daniel, as Squishiest darts back in to avenge his fallen comrade!
System Shock comes forth to greet it, as Firefly too turns towards the clawed wedge. However, Daniel isn€™t so lucky here, as the extender on Firefly€™s wedge gets under the front device on Squishiest, and tips it over again! Squishiest self-rights, or tries to, but ends up falling on Firefly€™s wedge again! Firefly drives forward into the wall, keeping Squishiest there as System Shock trundles over. Firefly turns away from the wall, but that has shunted Squishiest off the wedge, and now Squishiest attacks the rear of Firefly, wedging it, and chomping down! It has, however forgotten to notice that Liam has sneaked up behind it, and now System Shock pushes Squishiest across the arena€¦towards the pit! Jamie laughs; he knows what€™s about to happen, but they€™re through, as though Dan struggles valiantly, System Shock shoves Squishiest, holding on to Firefly, straight down into the pit.

It€™s Leprosy Infection out first€¦to greet Dead Horse Beater! DHB is straight out, and grinds against the sped-up drum! No CRASH, but an exceptionally loud BANG as the large drum bumps off the Hardox wedge, undamaging and unmoving€¦just as the axe comes down! WHACK! It bangs into the top 7mm titanium of Leprosy Infection, and though unable to smack the tires has dented the top armour already, nonetheless! DHB moves forward, pushing Leprosy around, and retracting the axe, moves to fire it again. Leprosy turns to move away but in doing so exposes its side to DHB, which Frank takes advantage of! WHACK! The armour is dented again, and Frank grows prouder of his full-pressure axe.
€¦that is, until Axe to Fall speeds out of its spot, slamming into the side of DHB, and lets fly with ITS axe! WHACK! However, it can€™t gain purchase because it barely even scratched the armour of DHB! Leprosy gets away as Dervish V makes its first appearance in the match, coming out to attack Axe to Fall! Axe to Fall swerves around DHB as the latter lets out a mighty CO2 snort with its axe, striking ground. Dervish moves around his teammate to keep the pressure on, but failed to notice that Leprosy Infection had its own drum back up to speed! Chris drives straight into Dervish without a second thought!
CRASH!!!
Now THAT is a worthy CRASH! And MANY sparks were dealt! Thing is€¦who came off better? The answer is nigh, as Dervish is spinning up its own drum€¦and Leprosy€™s weaponry has been halted! The mighty Tetanus-inspired drum is immobilized, and now DHB comes flying after it, but Axe to Fall catches up quickly and strikes the top again, and again barely scathes it. DHB abandons his attack on Leprosy, and turns back to Axe to Fall; both wedges smack to, and cancel out. WHACK! Axe to Fall gets axed, and an equal dent on him akin to Leprosy Infection is seen! Speaking of Chris€™ bot, Leprosy has charged into Dervish to prevent the weapon from spinning up€¦to find that he€™s much too late, as it€™s already reached top speed!
CRASH!!!
Leprosy is knocked starkers, right up over and onto his back, as Dervish moves forward to punish again. Frank smirks at Dan; their plans of attacking their planned targets have switched completely. Axe to Fall, however, has an advantage over DHB, and that is power, as he€™s pushing DHB backwards, and into Dead Metal€™s CPZ! The house robot happily grabs onto the box wedge and starts slicing away€¦but there€™s no going through that 5mm Hardox, only sparks will do, Dead Metal. :proud: Leprosy is running away from Dervish now; either he€™s being a coward, or he€™s VERY smart; I wouldn€™t want to go near that drum! :proud: Axe to Fall backs off and turns to see Dervish coming for HIM now€¦and box-rushes him!

All for naught! The front 8mm titanium is shredded, and Axe to Fall is knocked onto his back€¦perfect timing for Leprosy to come in and ram! So that was the plan! And now Leprosy€™s pushing against the stalled weaponry of Dervish, and pushing Dervish€¦INTO THE DISC OF DEATH! WHAP! €¦oh dear. How tactical. How devilish. And how bloody smart of Chris, who pushed Dervish straight into that hazard, wheel-first! And now, it€™s off! Dervish is pretty much immobilized now€¦wait€¦what€™s happened to Axe to Fall?! The axe isn€™t moving€¦not self-righting€¦that must have been one hell of a hit by the now amputated Dervish to shake something loose, but it€™s obvious that Axe to Fall can€™t self-right! And here comes Leprosy to right him!
And here comes Dead Horse Beater, releases from Dead Metal, to stop him! WHAM! He crashes into the side of Leprosy Infection, sliding €˜neath the skirts and giving the good ol€™ box a nice WHACK on the top again, and that good ol€™ box has just taken his third dent in a row, but DHB ain€™t satisfied with that! He pushes Chris€™ bot into the side wall, and begins to hammer mercilessly! WHACK! Another dent! The Watcher is there, and counting Axe to Fall out first!

So falls the Axe to Fall, and half of Team Various Dinowarriors€™ chances of reaching the Semis€¦but Dervish isn€™t going anywhere fast either! It€™s slowly wobbling around in a circle on its only wheel and the other end of the drum€¦WHACK! Leprosy Infection is pounded again! The Watcher crashes into both of them, seem to say €œOi! You realize you can only hold your enemy for so long, eh?€ DHB cheekily backs into The Watcher, and pushes him back€¦earning a heavy shunt from the aggravated ref. Leprosy is away and after Dervish, as is The Watcher now, who reaches him first, and now counts Dan€™s bot out!

And now we€™re down to a 1-on-1 match! And it€™s definitely going Frank€™s way, as he smacks into the now rather sluggish Leprosy and brings down that damn good axe! WHACK! OHO! It€™s gone through the titanium this time! A gleam is in Frank€™s eyes and he turns to Damocles€™ CPZ: obviously, victory by pitting just won€™t cut it for Frank; he seem to want to see Leprosy destroyed, and by he looks of it, he€™s going the right way about it! Dragging the box around, he approaches the quad-drum house robot! Leprosy isn€™t agile enough to escape, and almost accepts his fate -

And that, my friends - OHOHOHOHO! HAH! Look at that, DHB is flipped as well! Brilliant! Leprosy was still impaled by the axe and was flung onto DHB, who was flipped over! And€¦DHB can€™t self-right! It€™s trying to, you can see the axe is moving, but it can€™t get the leverage because it€™s still stuck in Leprosy€™s armour€¦and Leprosy can€™t move as well! The wheels are spinning, so it somehow survived Damocles€™ blow (though losing a skirt and one of the bars in the process), but they aren€™t touching the ground! It€™s a real fudge-up here, and The Watcher moves in to clear it up. The lifting arm slides under Dead Horse Beater, and lifts it up€¦heh, no go. The axe is firmly embedded in that top - bottom - €¦err, whatever, the axe is still impaled. :proud:

Firefly & System Shock v Phoenix Down & MeCannibal 2.0
Could go either way, but MeCannibal could prove to be the weak link here. It wont do anything to either of our front scoops, so I suggest one of us goes for the pit release while the other pits MeCannibal if it hasnt already KOed itself:proud:. Phoenix Down is tougher, but the inverted wedge at the rear could be a telling factor as we can get in underneath to push it into the pit, and the saw wont do anything upside down.

This is it - the finals in sight, but the semis is a fantastic distance to make, so Im quite pleased.
Firefly & System Shock vs. MeCannibal 2.0 & Phoenix Down: Liam sees me as the weak link of our team. And I am, but since Im with Phoenix Down, who has been responsible for all of our wins, saying Im the weak link isnt that bad. But the weak link of his team is Firefly, as that 8mm Ti armour may prove the undoing.
Phoenix Down shall go head-to-head with System Shock, as thatll put our two tracked rammers head-to-head, and Ill target Firefly, and rip the panels off and generally murder it :uhoh: Once Ive finished with Firefly, move onto System Shock if he isnt already finished, and try and dent the Hardox sides onto the gears turning the tracks.
Infusion Alpha & GeForce 4.0 vs. Dervish V & Dead Horse Beater: Out of these two teams, Dervish and GeForce are not going to enjoy fighting each other, as the armour of GeForce is sloped and Dervish wont get many good strikes and Dervish doesnt have a lot of body for GeForce to flip, so Ill say that GeForce will flip Dead Horse Beater OOTA, and Infusion will tear the tyres off Dervish.

Once again, Paul-ikins bases his predictions on entirely the worst strategy for us:lame:
I suggest Leprosy goes after GeForce as I think hell have an easier time flipping it with the drum than the lower shape of Infusion.
Meanwhile Ill be keeping Infusions rim stalled so he cant use the kinetic boost. The rim really isnt that powerful, so my armour should easily take it with not more than a dent or two. The idea after that is either to grapple/pit or axe the wheels.

OK so Hypnodisc didnt pack as much energy in its disc in RW Extreme as some of todays vapourbots do. But which worked better - its disc at causing damage, or Behemoths 2mm (I think it was) scoop at resisting any damage?
Ill admit that I dont keep a stringent watch on whats hot and whats not in vapourbots but is 8mm ti really a weak link nowadays?

I didnt mean weak-link as in crap, I meant weak-link as the robot Id prefer to go for first. To be honest, if you were me, would you go for the robot with Titanium armour, or Hardox armour. Im taking on Firefly because I tore off Back To Rocks 7mm Ti like a notice off a bulletin board, so Im going for you because 8mm Titanium is only 1mm thicker than 7mm Ti (Im great at maths :proud:)
Im not saying 8mm Ti is weak - quite the opposite - but its not AS strong as Hardox.

thats an unfair way to compare both when you attach an actual value to the titanium (8mm) and not to the Hardox

Well if you use a speed controller to regulate the speed of the ring of course you can tone the weapon down. I do that all the time with my real spinners.
Tactics: Spin, move in a direction, spin again, hit one of my opponents, spin some more, hopefully damage opponents, ummmm... spin, avoid Infusions weaponry, probably spin the body, open the pit and spin.
Oh, and spin. I think I forgot that.
