If you don't mind orange... got some 12v's
I have red LEDS OK
Team Overkill has arrived!
Don't suppose anyone's got a spare battleswitch I could borrow? Mine's just broke :(
Gareth you're my hero
Following Overdrive/HardWired 2 eating it's motor shaft earlier, does anyone happen to have any 6mm steel rod or anything that would be suitable as a replacement that they'd have ready to bring tomorrow?
Does anyone have a 12v-24v Voltage booster?
If, not a 9v battery may also do the trick.
Here is a large photo upload on the Aussie forum: http://www.robowars.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2069

that looked really fun :D
It was epic! You had no idea what was going on, what anyone else was doing and some times you couldn't see your own machine :P So much fun!
Must say I was gutted I couldn't make it, bit of family emergency and all. But just wow! How far Feather Weights have came that is amazing. Love the arena, love the spinners and sparks and the screaming/cheering from roboteers behind the cameras :) Nice one guys (and gals) - looked amazing!
It was Stu
The finale was the best yet

‪#‎RCWorldChampionships‬
The 2015 World Championships is now complete and what a spectacular event it was at The Gadget Show Live! The atmosphere was amazing and it was really nice to round off the event with a proper celebration of what had been achieved.
51 of the best teams from around the world descended on the Robo Challenge Arena which played host to some spectacular battles! After 4 days of pure carnage we would like to say a huge congratulations to the new World Champion Michael Oates with Explosion! It was an incredibly close fought final, one of the best I've ever seen. Also a big congratulations to John Lear, John Findlay & Will Thomas of Team Beast for a remarkable 2nd & 3rd! This teams achievements are truly incredible and deserve a lot of credit. It was great to see Sam bring NST out of retirement and win the Annihilator competition, well done Sam! and Kane did an amazing job winning the gruesome 18 way Gladiator battle in style! I didnt know which way to look! If you have seen our panoramic shot of the arena during the battle you can see Kane on the far left controlling his robot from the big screen!
I would also like to say a big thanks to Alan, Pete & Jeroen for the impeccable judging! Kane Aston and the FRA for their support and work leading up to the event.
The Gadget Show Live was also a great opportunity for people to see the very latest creations from the engineers at Robo Challenge which included the multiple award winning Samsung NX Rover, the brand new custom Jet Luge and our giant mechanical spiders!
Once again we would like to thank all the teams for supporting Robo Challenge and putting on a spectacular World Championships! We really appreciate the efforts you all go to to compete at our events and make them truly memorable occasions. We hope to see you all back next year!
Thank you to the Cooper's for a great event
Did the goldglitter get you guys in any trouble?
I imagine those flakes to keep popping up in toolbags and machines for a while :-)
Those gold flakes got everywhere. Toolboxes, my cup of coffee, robots and some more personal areas.
Just wanted to say a huge Thank You to James, Grant, Nick and the rest of the Robo Challenge gang for an absolute belter of an event! With the champs having been at the Gadget Show for so long now, we all probably take it for granted that we can turn up with our robots and the event will just run, but that simply wouldn't be the case without all your hard work before, during and after the event. Everything always runs so smoothly as well, it was truly worthy of the World Championship title.
Congratulations to Michael and Adrian for taking home the trophy! I think because the robot was still called Explosion, a lot of people knew it had the capability to win, but then you realise that it's still a pretty new machine and this was its first champs event; that's impressive. Well done to Team Learo for taking 2nd and 3rd and to Graeme with Little Nipper for ensuring the top four wasn't a complete flipper fest :p
Congrats also to Sam and NST for your Annihilator win and to Kane for the Gladiator victory, especially considering your viewpoint was the big screen above the arena! And I suppose I should congratulate Mouldy on the drum-off victory ;)
That trophy though, a work of art.
Finally, massive thanks to all the roboteers. The spirit in the pits was top-notch and really made the event one to remember, there was much hilarity with inflatable bananas, drawings of phallic objects and general, good-natured childishness. I would say that I can't wait to do it all again next year, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping we get to do it sooner than that. So here's to the next time!
What an event!!
Massive thanks to the Robo Challenge team for putting on this epic event.
It was great to bring together so many international teams too, hope to see you guys at the next event.
Well done to Explosion for taking the crown and to John and crew for the remaining podium positions, you guys continue to show that flippers definitely still have what it takes to rule the arena.
Was great to bring NST back out to play and add the annihilator title to this old UK winner.
Shard was only just ready in time for the event and this showed in its performance, but looking forward to giving it another run next time when it has had a few of the refinements it needs.
Does anyone have any pits pictures? Love seeing inside the robots.
There are quite a few pit photos here already: http://www.robowars.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2069
