Well, we've reached the first Heat Final, haven't we? Disco 5 has managed to overcome The Final Cut quite nicely, but the question is, can the champ take out Mornington Crescent, who's smacked down an oldbie vapourbot, Drilla Killa 7? We're going to find out now!

Martyn: You better believe it. I'm not losing my crown.
Melissa: And you're confident about taking down the ring spinner?
Martyn: It doesn't matter how many rings he brings to the table if I can beat 'em all, which I will.
Melissa: Ooh! Your response to that Steven?
Steve: Well, old bean, I'm not sure you can beat both of them, considering I have quite the big advantages.
Martyn: Well let's see what'll happen, then, because to me, you're going down.
Steve: Back at you, lad.
Melissa: Right, let's get to the arena!

Now that is quite the speedy start, as both robots have taken off from their positions at lightspeed! :proud: Disco 5 is immediately chasing down Mornington Crescent with the flipper, but before the champ can strike, Mornington Crescent nips around the flipper, its manoeuvrability superior to the champion's! Realizing his mistake, Martyn reverses his machine quickly before Steve can make good on the threat, and it leaves Mornington Crescent wide open! This time, Mornington Crescent can't get out of the way in time and is collected onto the flipper...while still spinning! Martyn, not too keen on letting his opponent ride further up onto the wedge and hit the vertical, fires Disco 5's flipper, sending Mornington Crescent across the floor, and Steve's bot lands on its back several feet away. As it tries to get a sense of direction, Disco 5 crashes into it again and repeats the process; Mornington Crescent is right-side-up again, but seeing its opponent attacking again, it instantly moves forwards...which is straight into Disco 5! However, it's a lucky break for Steve, as Disco 5 is unable to fire the flipper in time as Mornington Crescent goes up the wedge thrice, and the lower spinning ring hits Disco 5's flywheel!
CRASH!!!
Stars and glory! Or, rather, sparks and unglory, as Disco 5 sends up a mess of both, the force shunting Mornington Crescent right in front of the champ, and ripe for picking! And despite the shock, the champ moves in again! Collected onto the wedge a fourth time, Steve's spinner can't do much of anything at the moment, except wait until Disco 5 is done taking it to...an empty CPZ. There goes the Crescent roll :proud: and both house robots slowly exit their own CPZs to attack Mornington Crescent...but Disco 5 won't leave the spinner alone! Up it goes again, the flipper, as it pushes Mornington Crescent onto the wall...is this it? Mornington Crescent is stacked on the wall, but wait! The upper...errr...whichever ring is now upper, is spinning! So Steve's bot still has some movement, but only in its weapon...and it isn't looking like it's helping any! The centrifical force is not enough to get Mornington Crescent off the wall, and sensing the exit of another robot, The Watcher is in da house, shunting the now-first Series Semi-Finalist aside as it begins the countdown to what should have been a much longer and exciting fight...

Loving the fights, Kody! Will have to keep it simple against Die-Reverta-Tops: just whack him hard as I can on sides and rear without wandering onto the flipper (will probably be best at the rear due to Ringwraith's shape).

It's going to be a little strange for me, typing something other than Die-Ceratops. Anyway, keep the front on as much as possible.

This mobile gene pool's back for a second shot! Will it go all the way or is it full of gas? :proud:
Melissa: So, what improvements have you made since last series?
Paul: None. It was bad luck that I ran into Achilles, that's all, and that was a close fight in itself.
Melissa: So it's still the same flipping arm from C&B3?
Paul: Indeed it is. I'm gonna flip that Darkestar into subconsciousness.
Melissa: Subconsciousness...?
Paul: Sorry, unconsciousness.
Melissa: Riiight...do good for the audience, okay?
Paul: You got it.
The bronze medallist returns rather unchanged. It can toss over a tonne with its Nitrogen-powered flipper, but it has very limited flips. Good Hardox monocoque armour, side and rear titanium skirts, and strong MagMotor drive power tally up some strong points about why this bot has its current ranking. The stats say it is invertible, but the low height of this robot sings a different tune. Not like it matters exceedingly much; it CAN self-right. :proud: As said, though, flips are few, so it must be careful about passing gas. :proud:
C&B1: Didn't compete.
C&B2: Didn't compete.
C&B3: Went all the way to the Grand Final, where Achilles outlasted it and after a long tussle shoved it into Triple Big Mac's CPZ, where the house robot destroyed its flipper and main power. It was also bested in the play-off by an annoyingly aggressive Envy, who pitted N-G within the first half of the battle.

Alex: Indeed. It's also got prongs at the front which surrounded a vertical triangular disc.
Melissa: Sounds positively dreadful. Speaking of which, how do you feel about going up against the 3rd -
Alex: Seed? I couldn't really care. Now if it was the champion then I'd be a bit nervous, but 3rd seeds, well...
Melissa: Now now, he did brilliantly to get that far, so don't underestimate your opponent. So get out there and prove you're stronger?
Alex: Will do, will do.
With an extended Hardox chassis and stainless steel tracks, you'd be very hard put to damage this thing. Its flywheel housing and prongs are also Hardox, so try damaging that too. :proud: It's very powerful with its Lynch-drive system and tracks, and the 13kg vertical disc spells doom for those to come into contact with it. It can even keep the disc pointed at its opponent while being flipped, and is very hard to stack on the wall due to independent track modules. That said, it'll have a hard time manoeuvring around.

A blindly fast start follows the call of ACTIVATE as Nitro-Gene, obviously set on proving its seeding, charges headlong into the prongs of Darkestar...a thoughtless manoeuvre, as the prongs easily defeat the flipper and the flywheel chews into it! Quite the spark show, but it's not done much to the flipper, other than nastily scratching up the red paint, but Darkestar's power is deemed the greater factor here as it overpowers Nitro-Gene's drive and, pushing the flipper up and exposing the ram (slightly), begins to shunt the 3rd seed across the arena...over the arena saws! BZZT! Both robots take a tumble, hardly sustaining damage, but Nitro-Gene's been freed of Darkestar's lacklustre grip and is skimming the arena, seeking some positioning. Darkestar isn't letting up with the aggression, however! It blows onto the scene but barely misses Nitro-Gene who speeds away in a blur of blue! Darkestar pours on the power and chases Nitro-Gene around the arena, but with its questionable manoeuvrability it better be careful. Ultimately noticing that he can't sneak past Darkestar, Nitro-Gene is forced to grit himself and smash into Darkestar's front end again! Unfortunately, it seems Darkestar is invulnerable to assault at the front, as again the prongs sneak under the flipper and push it into the flywheel!
CRASH!
A few sparks, but now the flipper has taken some damage! A nice gash down the middle is seen, and I doubt it'll do much now. And Darkestar is again pushing Nitro-Gene back. Further and further down the arena until Count Bleck's CPZ is reached! The Lord Blumiere shows just how heartless he can be by smacking Nitro-Gene's rear skirt!
CRASH!!!
Now that...was a big hit. Although the skirt is still there, it's barely clinging on to the rear end of the 3rd seed! Such power! But it doesn't end there, as Darkestar has somehow managed to keep control of the flipperbot and keep it against the wall of the CPZ! Bleck now spews flames at the trapped Nitro-Gene, as both The Watcher and Renegade poke their noses in as well. Darkestar, not one to welcome an incoming attack on himself, backs off and gives Renegade admission to the Nitro-Gene beating fest, but it is suddenly thwarted as Nitro-Gene bursts right out, and back into Darkestar! ...or is it thwarted? No, no no no, again those prongs are just too low for Paul to get his bot to slide under, and Darkestar pushes Nitro-Gene back into the CPZ...with Bleck spinning madly again!
CRASH!!!
An unstable Count Bleck sends the rear skirt of Nitro-Gene flying across the arena, and Renegade has the flipperbot smacked against his front, as he clamps onto the 3rd seed and begins to smack him with the axe! Not that it's doing too much damage to Nitro-Gene, but it is scoring several judges points for Darkestar, who's going after the pit release button now! The Watcher now bursts in, and not only shunts Renegade, but rams him into the wall! Why is the ref attacking his own teammate? As Renegade lets go of Nitro-Gene and shifts angrily to confront his fellow DarkZlayer, Paul guns the engines and launches his robot across the arena, right at the rear end of Darkestar, who's oblivious to the situation behind him! He turns, but too late, as Nitro-Gene slides under and takes him directly to the wall! It's a flip! It's a toss! It's over, as Darkestar sails straight over the wall, and out! The upset has been avoided in a lucky shot!

The force isn't strong in this one! Darkestar drifts back into the black hole from whence it came! :proud:
