There speaks a man with unlimited resorces & time!!!
I wish!!
I just believe that when you put your robot in the arena, then you take whatever is comming your way.
Or put another way..
Do unto others before they do unto you :proud:
I still say install it altough I would hardly use it. I want to do that for the DRG arena to btw.
i could gaffertape red rotating police beacons to each roboteers head, with a Im a giant wuss button on their foreheads? Maybe some sort of chickensong to???
lol, no, not really. I think a universal emergency stop button for tap out and safety stop would be best, so we dont have unheard little, quiet voices shouting important things like...
dont hit me (then they hit you)
leave it alone (then the flip you)
its on fire... stop (then it flamethrowers you)
and
STOP THE FIGHT!!! THERE IS A SMALL CHILD INSIDE THAT ROBOT (or other similar safety concerns.)
good compromise?
:proud:
i remember having an argument with mr Lambert about fighting TX-108, he said dont use ur weapon i said i wont if u wont
but i have to im a flipper
so do i, Im a crusher
these pansies with there flippers, i tell ya
Unlimited resources my variation of a donkey, if i was unlimited i would of i would of built tanto out of half inch ti, with lems and a custom controller but then id jus be storm 2.
At best Tanto is a pointy box on wheels but at least it looks original.
I have decided to call my tap out button the chicken button. And, (as long as Avian Flu does not get to north wales, in which case I will need to get rid of it) it will be a feature of the show, highlighting anyone hitting it.
By the way, the arena build is coming along really well now, and it looks monsterous!! I may be accused of over-engineering it a bit. Official pics will be released when the woodlands EO says so, but until then, take my word for it, you will be surprised when you see it.
I will be sending out the first batch of e-mails to teams interested in attending in the next week or so. If you want to recieve these e-mails, but have not expressed an interest in coming, please do so now.
It is still committed as a grade 3 event (see new FRA guidelines for advice on things such as axe tethers), but I am pushing very hard to have spinners running in the Raptor and Featherweights class. As the heaviest lightweight currently signed up is 13.6kg, I may also allow spinners in this class, but submit your design to me first as it will not be allowed if it significantly exceeds my current baseline maximum of little spinner. The lightweight class is now capped at 13.6kg unless 3 or more additional robots above this weight sign up.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
James
Ill try and be there with a FW drum spinner
We should be there,
Merlin - Heavy - FP Flipper
Knightmare - Heavy - FP Flipper
UFO (TBC) - Heavy - LP Fipper
Alpha - FW - Pusher
G3 - FW - FP Flipper
