Round 2 of the Uk championships, and a return visit to the Harvey Hadden complex. Our home town, so big things are expected, and a chance for our many suppliers to also come and see the show. See you there.

looks like there may be quite a few robots be missing from this event, so a good chance for people to pick up points.

Gears are ready for stinger, so will be up and running in the next week or so. Ironically I'm fighting it at Nottingham too !!

Yarr... LR Evo is coming, and if it's ready in time, so is Apollo.

Well Ripper is all done ready,

New flipper hinges, new bigger ram, new strenthened buffertank, new chains, realigned sprockets.

Ready for mine and trevors underground grudgematch against Meggamouse at my Storage Unit later in the week to test it, bet i break it ! :crazy:

You still need to have it weighed on the day just in case.

I did like JB's comment when BOTH Hydra and DTK were exactly 1.7kg overweight. Apparently they've been sharing twixes in the shed :rofl:

Hydra will either be a monster for this one or its weapons will fail.

Got the new rams fitted and just working on the fp pneumatics to get them working.

New axe head arrived today so that'll be on by then (got its name on it and everything!!)

DTK may even drive in a straight line!!

We're planning on testing stuff and everything for this one! :rofl:

Just ask clive how good it feels to bring a machine ready to fight..... one battery pack, one dodgy wonky wheel, probably a receiver... and thats before a tech check !!

I'm just always impressed when it's built before we get there :proud:

Mine quite often isn't built before an event, as I'm sure was evident at both Barnsley and Whitwick, but I should have it all working and operating and armour secured and the right sized wheels this time :)

Its going to be a lot harder to run this HW now I'm on my own, but heres hoping its still going by Wigan, and not conk out by Guildford like last time (touch wood).

Weighed ripper today....

96.95Kg With no Gas .. Well chuffed !!

2kg for gas.
and 2kg for the 3rd battery pack which i can now put back in !! :-)

Wahay !! Got the weight to get another random paintjob done for it !!

Surely at 96.95kg (effectively 97), you only have 3 kilos, not 4, unless you're really building to the 102kg error margin

im using the 2% :proud: Should have 1kg spare for error.

Another paintjob for Ripper?

Stinger turned a wheel today for the first time in how many years !!! Only one so far, the second should be running on Sunday, still a bit of wiring to do, then to test it to see if it works !!!

Rippers 2nd new paint job has now been decided LOL :rofl:

Competition sign ups are now closed, I think you've had enough time to say your coming.

The Fight shedule for the two shows will be posted here and emailed early next week.

Stinger is alive.... had both wheels running on its cradle tonight.... Well chuffed.. !!

Few little issues to sort and then ready for a test tomorrow !! Cant Wait !! :proud:

Gonna take a bit of time to get it actually battle ready to the full , but happy if it just works for now :-)

An extra battery pack for each wheel required, and should be battle ready !!!

I also saw a video for super-ant kits. Are those servos speed modded or are you running them on a lipo pack ?

They are speed hacked... im a bit of a newbie with these small ickle robots, so i'm learning.. but they are speed modded, found a nice easy way of doing it, Ive tried before but never managed it to be be reliable !!

you might have to send me some pics or details about it, I've got a few uses for it, plus I generally don't speed hack servos

it looks the same as normal shape wise but everything is rusty except the wheel hubs which are red
