john heard your dad on the radio this morning, talking about robotwars etc, my dad always listens in the morning to bbc radio nottingham and he told me to tune in

radio people wanted to know what people keep in storage units so he must have rang in to tell them, started talking all about robotwars and ripper etc

The storage company were doing a feature last week on the radio, i was going to do it but was on my way to ireland !!

Havent heard it yet, going to liston to it later.

This event will also be the last one for the current spec of Storm Force as it'll be given an upgrade over the next coming months after that ;)

what i would laugh at would be if stu drove md on top flipper realised there is a robot on there even though it's md and hit the flipper :mrgreen:

Can I have my competition fight on Sunday as not planning to come on Sat? If this isn't possible then I will try and get up on the saturday.

A similar request from me. Becuase we're planning to only get Anger going on the day, if it all, it would be handy to get my fight down the bill somewhere, just to give us maximum time to try get it moving.

I see the Team Bud challenge fight hasn't been included in the schedule sent out by John. Is it going to happen?

Back from the event. Had a really fun time I think SF's fight was the best I had with it in the first show's final melee. Had a few laughs at the event particularly at Big Nipper and Kan-Opener coming out the arena stuck together and Drumroll always self-righting with out the aid of a srimech or the hoops! I really enjoyed getting to drive Dantomkia for the competition fight against Iron-Awe (Thanks Andy and sorry for the floor Jonno!). It was good to see Pug still moving too even if the lifter didn't work. Anyway I hope everyone else had a good time too!

Just unloaded the van this morning, St Hammer did ok and even won a few fights, :D Seraphim did what its name implies and set itself on fire in the pits! :shock: Just a few wires burnt so an easy repair.
As always a big thanks to Jonno and all the crew for putting on the show, Zack and I had a great time.
It was good to see so many of the roboteers at the show especially Craig back again with Tanto. Here is hoping for a good year for the sport. :D

Top event Jonno, thought the Ratz went well and it was nice to see some new faces. Really good to see the first modified class rat out and about. Luke was really pleased about winning the combat.

Good to take six points out of the event considering neither of the robots were finished which was more than we were expecting. Nice to take apocalypse out with a few hits of the axe and to see a much higher percentage of hits landing.

Would have been nice to have some gas for the fight with Iron awe but it's one of those things until we fit the new ram. Should be in for Whitwick though.

Many thanks to Team Bud for the loan of a driver. I would point out that this one didn't drive into the pit at all which was a bit of a surprise ;D ;D Shame really cos you don't mind getting flipped by Iron Awe but when you've managed to avoid it and are going for the pit release and just happen to be sat on the same bit of floor he's stuck under it's a bit gutting. Well done though Liam, great drive.

Good event. The usual thanks to Jonno and the crew, fantastic as ever.

I second all of the above, it was a fantastic event that I enjoyed very much and it was great to see Cabrakan and Anger working after all the effort needed by multiple people to fix them :) thanks to Jonno and everyone that was there for tolerating my getting in the way and randomly driving antweights around.

few people borrowed couple of things off me at barnsley and i never got my big hammer back, wooden handled one and a black or slightly red hammer head- cant remember the exact colour if anyones got it can u just hold onto it for me- ill be at whitwick

also was good event- i've got a massive grudge with major damage now after what it did to pinsor.....grrr ill get revenge one day with my heavy when its done im sure so watch out

We gots a few people asking around about it. And major damage is no problem. take that out with a feather.

Calum, I used your hammer last I think, on Anger. We left it on our bench, we thought it was Tom Armitage's. I'm fairly sure you hadn't left when I used it though so I'm guessing it was still on the bench, so maybe the RR crew picked it up.

Did Major Damage do damage to Pinsor? I remember him turning it into a pancake with his hammer though :uhoh:

Ye it was there after the event. Weston brought it to the back of the room where we were talking and it was put on the bench and left. So thats last place any of us saw it.

at least people know which hammer im on about so it will hopefully turn up eventually

last i remember was seeing it on my pit bench next to my giant spanner, but when i came to use it today it wasnt in my box and now when i think of it i can't remember packing it away- i can remember pickin up the spanner and putting it away before i left thou

yh liam lol, i was drivin about fine, burnt out the speedo so it died, pinsor got hammered- which didnt do anything then it got rammed into the arena wall with the full force of major damage onto the claws and made a right mess of them, then got picked up and dropped out the arena.

managed to hammer the claws back out thou so they are flat again- just
