18/19th July - Royal Int Air Tattoo - Roaming Robots

An extrememly popular event, hopefully 2009 will go slightly different to last year.

This years event will be our official summer party.
This is an event which will only feature white board fights, so a chance for fun fights, grudge matches, but most importantly a whole lot of FUN and entertainment !!!

We will also run the Tanja Smith Memorial fight for 2009 on the Sunday.

Spaces will be limited as normal to 30 teams, I will post here when we are ready to recieve the sign ups !

As for scrapping with the Dutch... Not my style ... Remember I married a half Dutch girl who is more than capable of looking after herself! So I learned a while ago you don't mess with our friends uit het Nederlands!
(she can get very protective of her Dutch roots! :uhoh: )

Notice to roboteers who have signed up (and are yet to sign up) - please keep an eye on your email account after guildford, important email/form coming your way to fill in which we need for secuirty info, car checks etc etc. cheers.

Just a thought that might make this a bit more entertaining thinking about maybe having a heavyweight tag team competition with all teams being drawn out of a hat to make it fairer and give the robots that normally don't win a lot like ironawe etc a chance of winning a trophy. :?:

There is no competition or trophies at this event, it's a fun white board chilled relaxed event for the whole weekend.
So no moaning, no iffyness from anyone - it's all light hearted fun alllllll weekend and drinks and food and party and chill out holiday.

But if lots of you want to do some sort of mini tag team comp then go for it, were all open and easy as it's a roboteers holiday weekend.

My order is a big lump of Stilton for me and Jason and a piece of cheddar for the wife. It may be an idea to bring some different cheeses whatever the sort you like to put on Swanny's bar on cocktail sticks with pickles. 8)

Well for something different for Riat I thought we'd do Robot Football again.

It has been done before a few times, but this time we're using our weapons.

Lets see which robots are good at Kick ups, Long Passes, and shooting!!! :proud:
