28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Unfortunately Kronic will not be able to make this event. Shame, as I really like this one. I cant see Kronic doing any events for the forseeable future until the country pulls itself out of the cack, finance wise.

Were at the Travelodge Hickstead. Last year we found a nice restuarant just around the corner from the venue, so well probably going there the Saturday night, or you could try the delights at the Little Thief/Burger King next to the hotel :)

Hi I'm looking for some new 75mm wheels for Metatron, the drill motor drive wheels, I measured them and are down to 70mm!! (I must not run the robot on the path outside my house!) Is anyone going to the Burgess Hill shows that could bring four along cash will be waiting.
Many thanks.

Maelstrom will be there both days along with Aftershock and Whirlpool.
My school are going to be bringing a couple of robots as well on sunday, will these teams need to be FRA members as they will only be doing this event this year??

Many thanks Andy
Grant how much do i owe you for the wheels?
-
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Will, i dont see a problem with just using your FRA number, not fair to ask them to join just for one event. Roboteers email will be going out this weekend.

It'll be me Craig although I know Grant would love to get paid twice  , I'll check how much they were and it'll just be what Grant was going to refund me.

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Not yet John, probably be ready during the summer.
-
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Unfortunately I'll be attending with ants and as crew only, Satanix' speedo has had the memory scrambled and, with any luck, will get re-written by Dave Gamble relatively soon

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Dave, do you still want Alex to bring his ant arena along?
Also which other ants are going?
I will be taking Ant Awe along and Alex should be taking Wolkig so there should be enough for a few demos.
will ants be shown on the screen like at reading last year??

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
As Will has said, I would be happy to bring my antweight arena. Maybe we could run some sort of antweight league in between fights. If this can be put on the big screen, it could maybe be run like the other weight class battles, with audience voting etc. Just an idea if there is time.

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill

Alex: Yes, please do bring your arena, I'll be bringing Stewie and Baby Hell. FIN is undergoing some wheel mods ATM so I can't use him.

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Congratulations on a great weekend,we had a good time allbeit costly due to high quality diesel not being compatible with my Citroen engine.
Well done Barbaric Response and Iron Awe,but particularly well done to Team Shock, Will And Matt taking first and second in the Featherweight final with the team mechanic and Roboteer chauffer Ian also making the final.(Thanks for the lift to collect my car)

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Thanks to all the roboteers for making a great event, there was a good atmosphere in the pits with everyone mucking in to help everyone out. Everything went fairly smoothly although not a good event for cars and vans (Clive and Alan).
DB5 has resumed normal service of heading straight for the pit in competition fights, nevermind.

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Ed, can you say karma? lol.
-
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Thanks for a great event!
Also thanks from everyone from my school for letting them come along and try out their robots and despite a few trips on the arena flipper they all came out alive!
Well Done to Barbaric Response and Iron Awe for making the final (again! )
Also if anyone has a video of the featherweight final could you let me know- our camera stopped recording half way through for some reason.

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Hi All
First of all a big thanks to all that attended, there were so many of you i didnt even get the chance to get a fight! Well done to our winners Barbaric Response and Aftershock. We had 3 great shows with some of the most entertaining fights i've seen, including; the 10 & 11 way melees, and the 20 way featherweight fights (it did keep me on my toes when arming/dis-arming the robots!), St Hammers escape from the pit during the semi-final and Ian Watts' farting robot!
Big thanks to the crew; Ed, Adam, Dave, Dave & Dave! Also a thanks to Mark for stepping in and doing a great job presenting the show, even if a few of our southern audience were abit confused by his 'northen' accent! We had a less than good start to the lead up to the event; Davids cars radiator broke and he had to hire a car, Mums car battery died and then my van blew up halfway down the M1 on friday with 25 sheets of MDF and the house robot in the back, and then Clive carrying on the problems with his test into combining diesel and petrol.
Plans are underway for the rest of the year and you'll be the first to know when they're sorted.
Many Thanks
Robots Live Crew

Has anyone put any videos on web yet ? I have done some and my brother will put them on website when he updates it this week.
