We kick off our year back in our hometown!

We return once again to our hometown for the 4th year. We€™ll kick off the year with 3 shows across the weekend.

Saturday 6pm
Sunday 12 & 3pm

Once again food will be provided on the Sunday and prizes/trophies for the winners.

Sign ups available on the website, due to limited pit space and the Rebel Robots event, priority will be given to those attending both days.

Yep, it seems quite a few people have done some major mods or complete new machines for this year. Should be a good event, although maybe a few teething problems, but lets hope not. Apoc is now so small St Hammer will probably just drive over it before I can flip it!

600mm dia Wheels!!!! dont know how it will handle, But it should be fun to see it bounce around the arena going every place hitting everything but the other robot :uhoh:

Might be able to make the sunday but will be pushing it with the missus. Still i will try and get there.

Quick snow update: Roads in the area are all clear and no more snow is expected. The only word of warning is that the car park at the venue is very slippery, not sure what it will be like tomorrow.

really good event, skelly was awesome to watch!.
will upload a vid tomorrow with some highlights, but soz left before the final to get home. Snow was really coming down hard so glad i didnt leave any later!

Just got back from the event A big thank you to all the people from Robots Live who put on the show. For all their hard work and dedication we do appreciate it. A special thanks to Ian Watts for his help with St Hammer. I am looking forward to the videos on U Tube. :)

and im still amazed my robot which cant self right didnt get flipped over:) and we got through to the final.

didnt get away unscaved, battle axe was spinning round really fast and hit the back of TJ2 and bent a bit of chassis, time for a bit of cutting and shutting me thinks

will upload video highlights shortly, having a few problems with it.

Thanks for your comments. Just want to say thank you all for attending and well done to our winners Iron Awe (again!) and Little Flipper, well done as well to Mike for getting 2nd in both catagories with Pressure and Skink.

Hope everybody got home safely, the snow certainly made it tricky loading the truck!

Was pleased with Knightmares upgrades, but Merlins changes made it worse!

I have just found out what the problem was on the drive for St Hammer, there was a drive pin loose that made the drive fail on one side from time to time. so Jonno i will drive out of that pit soon.

We had a great day, shame about the pit magnet luring Alex in but a good day for me with 4 4 Toon.Congratulations to Iron Awe and Little Flipper, 2 worthy winners.

an excellent event thanks to robots live and to alan for all his hard work...he looked cream crackered by the end !! I can t wait for burgess hill I might have toxic completely finished by then and even painted, well I can hope...lol
