VRW Extreme
Since the tournament isnt going well, I decided to cancel it and try an Extreme series to begin with.
Weight:
100kg: wheeled
110kg: tracked
150kg: shuffler
200kg: true walker
There are 2 arenas:
Batttlebox Arena
Robot Wars Arena
There are no House Robots.
There are several events:
New Blood: 12 spots
Vengeance: 12 spots
All Stars: 16 spots
Mayhem: 36 spots
Annihilator: winners from Mayhem
Featherweight Battles: 18 spots
Middleweight Battles: 8 spots
Spinner Smash-Up: 4 spots
Axe Attack: 4 spots
Crusher Crunch-Up: 4 spots
World Championship: 16 spots
Tag Team Terror: 8 spots for teams
Flipper Frenzy: 4 spots
I would like it if every spot gets filled.
One thing I wish to say.....
+2>PLEASE ENTER!
And one last thing....
+2>USE SERIOUS BOTS!

You might be a bit optimistic with the amount of spots open in some events...also, could you clarify how many robots were allowed to enter, and what the rules on clusterbots are?
-
VRW Extreme
You can enter as many as you want, but you must at least enter 3 robots.
Clusterbot rules are the same: 50% of a clusterbot must be dead for it to be out.
-
VRW Extreme
You can enter 1 bot in more then 1 competition.

VRW Extreme
Now for descriptions:
NEW BLOOD: This is an event made for new or highly failing robots. Winner gets 8th seed, Runner-up gets 16th seed, and 3rd place gets 20th seed.
VENGEANCE: Grudge matches. If you feel like you have lost unfairly to some other robot, or are preturbed at it beating you badly, then feel free to face it again here.
ALL STARS: The best of the best. Only elite robots with a winning record of at least 7 match wins can enter. Winner gets to be 1st seed, while runner up gets to be 2nd seed.
MAYHEM: Ive decided to trim it down to 18 spots, but the carnage isnt going to be any less fierce. 3-robot fights. Winner heads to an annihilator.
ANNIHILATOR: The winners from the Mayhem matches come here to face off. Winner gets to be 3rd seed, while runner-up gets to be 4th seed.
FEATHERWEIGHT BATTLES: Nice face-offs between the tiny terrors of the robot world.
MIDDLEWEIGHT BATTLES: Beautiful combat between Middleweight robots.
-
VRW Extreme
SPINNER SMASH-UP: The most ferocious spinners from around the world fight. Winner gets 15th seed.
AXE ATTACK: The ultimate in axes go after each other to see who will stand victorious. Winner gets the 17th seed.
CRUSHER CRUNCH-UP: The most powerful, but very slow robots of all time face each other in mortal combat. Winner gets the 18th seed.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Robots from around the world compete to see who is the most dominant of them all. Winner gets 5th seed.
TAG TEAM TERROR: Teams of 2 fight it out the gruesome way. Winners get 6th and 7th seeds, respectively.
FLIPPER FRENZY: Up, up and away! The most powerful flippers in robot history will face each other. Winner gets 9th seed.

VRW Extreme
...Mark, did you not listen to any of our advice? Dont do lineups before you get entries, and lower your expectations if you want to get your tournaments anywhere near full. This sort of competition would be difficult enough for seasoned writers to do, let alone somebody with your experience and reputation.
-
VRW Extreme

Seriously?
Cam I ask Mark - why do you think no-one bothers to enter your competitions? Its becuase youve got on everybodys nerves and f***** up real bad on your first tourny - that word with stars on is the only word that can be properly used in this situation, as you didnt write them well, entered other robots without permission and wrote your own competition as a follow-up to Liams Challenge Belt, a tornument which I rather enjoyed.
That and your fights are DIABOLICAL! Try to stretch them out a bit, something like 230-400 words are good for fights that go on a bit, 100-230 words for shorter ones and 100- words are for REALLY short fights. The advantage of longer battles is that you can fit so much more detail in, and that is what I found out that people were after - theres no point in writing a big long fight like Kody and Martjn and Matty and AJ and Richard do (or in Richards case did ), because detail is what is really important. What happens also helps makes your fights good, but you need to get a balance between detail and events to write good fights.
What I would do is not open another tournument until youve practiced writing battles and made your reputation better. OK?
Use the How To Improve... thread to send in battles and take advice to make them better.
-
VRW Extreme
I agree Mark should not open another tourny for a while, but he does have what he asked for- Serious entries:mrgreen:!
And if you drae do another reference to one of my tournaments Mark...Well, Id rather not say...
On a brighter note, glad you enjoyed it Paul!
-
VRW Extreme
Simply, I will add robots from the Virtual Robot Wars thread, the VRW Renewed thread, and the various robot combat competitions.
Mayhem: Razer vs Extreme Cheese vs Chaos 2
Axe Attack: Hydra vs Woodpecker vs Mortis Infranor vs Axe Awe
All Stars: WBC vs Biohazard, and Behemoth Evo X vs Merlin
Vengeance: Razer vs Pussycat
Any Predictions?
-
VRW Extreme
Withdraw Extreme Cheese. NOW.
-
VRW Extreme
Mayhem: Razer vs Cassius 2 vs Chaos 2
-
VRW Extreme
i predict.......silence and tumbleweed
-
VRW Extreme
-
VRW Extreme
Mortis Infranor
was that even ever made?
-
VRW Extreme
Remove my robot from this tournament now.
-
VRW Extreme
what are the options for actually copyrighting a vapourbot?
-
VRW Extreme
I wouldnt say theres copyright, more etiquette. You dont enter other peoples designs into tournaments, even your own.
-
VRW Extreme
etiquette didnt work :lame:
-
VRW Extreme
This git knows no boundaries...he must be stopped.
-
VRW Extreme
quote:
Mortis Infranor
was that even ever made?
I dont believe it was.
-
VRW Extreme

-
VRW Extreme
I know what Ill do...

Powered by: 2 X LEM-130 on 4 X NiCad Battlepacks
Wheels: 4 vulkanized wheels
TC: Guess.
GC: 4mm All Around
Weapons: None, its crappy and its a loser.
Srimech: None
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Its crappy and a loser.
-
VRW Extreme
If you DARE take one of my bots and put them in this Mark then your Robot SMASH!! campaign will suffer...
-
VRW Extreme
Liam, My Robot SMASH!! campaign is suffering.
Not one of my robots have made it past round 1.
-
VRW Extreme
Then maybe you should have made some more vapours, or chosen realies that cope with vapours better... Or it could be that the draw is just unlucky for you.
And when I said I would make it suffer I was more thinking:
Mark presses the pit release and drives in!
But Ill only do something like that if you steal my robots.
