6th April 2008 Roaming Robots - Oldham

Well guys, we€™ve been offered an opportunity to head north once again, and simply couldn€™t turn it down.

Plus due to our recent postponement of the Stoke event which has been delayed for a month until May, we couldn€™t let your robots gather dust by having a month without a major event.

So we€™re slotting another major event one into our 2008 calendar.

Date - Sunday 6th April 2008

ooh thats actually really close to me again. And hopefully I will have moved by that point so I can sneak away from my GF.

any event is far for me too. the lincolnshire roads take you at least an hour to the nearest motoway. unless your in a white van then 45 mins. envy and thor will be there. might see the mute boys too. and its in nipper land.

Just confirmed that our favourite star wars characters will be our security for the event yet again. :)

Tickets already selling very well so looks like its going to be another busy one for us !!

By the way Swany Oldham is 45 miles south for us.

easy short drive for you guys then. 45 mins and i will be on the M180.

my bigger brother is coming again. gonna sort out building him a robot soon. he is hooked.

Carnage is comeing. well just for the driving practice cant use its weapon untill Rebelrobots.

Yeah sorry the new roboteers area (which includes sign ups) opens on 5th April, we didnt think wed have any more teams signing up for Oldham, but will add you to the list - no problem. We can also get your database pictures this weekend also. See you there.

hi all just got back good testing for us today :)

another good event for envy. major damage looking well good. poor mighty mouse got it again. thor looking good too with hammer getting there. well done to chompalot i like that robot. :) well done DTK bout time you won mr bell. seemed like for ever to get home in the snow over the moors too but had my bro to keep me company :)

Was a fun event - some good moments. Major damage does look cool, and the crowed loved him. Really has added a big feature to the show. Picking a heavy weight clean up, and then dropping it out the arena or in the arena from a big height... or spinning around in the middle of the arena Killalot style is just great!!

Something very unique - awesome. Crowd coudlnt get enough of him! Wanted a picture of him, his autograph and everything.

Mighty Mouse is fine. Major Damage had a good play with it. hope mr stu will put it on the vid so i wont ruin the surprise :)

the house robot certainly does add a new arena hazzard. and it really is scary when your in the arena and its coming toward you. there is 1 problem tho.....its a show stealer

Glad MM is fine it would be very bad luck if it got slammed twice in two shows. Shane have you seen the pic on my profile?

I cant take any credit Its Mark the one with the hammer and an A level in art (the only time he picks up a tool is for the publicity shots):)
