28th/29th Jan, Robots Live! Leicester

Its time to blow off the dust and test them modifications, the 2006 calendar kicks off with Robots Live in Leicester. 3 shows over 2 days, with robots fighting it out for 1st place in a friendly competition, (similar format as Magna and Denbigh).

Saturday 28th 5-7pm
Sunday 29th 12-2pm and 3-5pm

Located between the M1 and A42, easy access from all over the UK. Food will be provided on the Sunday between shows. Appearance fees / expenses will be subject to tickets sales.

Will be there with Scorpion Evilution & Batterbot. Plus the new twin LEM Scorpion heavyweight if shes ready in time.

Weve had our year off so what better way to restart than with an event thats just up the road?

Well be bringing the heavy (should still be working) and maybe a feather (or two if I start building :))

Talking of a year off, same goes for Mute, should have it all ready by then.

Hope the arena floor is nice and flat, Mutes new nose cone shaves closer than a blade or your money back :)

Great news Adam, I know a lot of people have missed Mute during this year. Im sure she will perform even better than before.

Would be great to see Mute and Spearhead again.

There was a mess-up with the sign ups and people are being asked to sign up again (theres was an email from Jonno sent yesterday).

We are now putting a cap on Feather weight Only teams (with 22 feathers signed up so far). Any Heavy roboteers with feathers who have not yet signed up are still ok.

Feather weight only teams who sign up from now will go onto the reserve list.

Chris, I think the Health & Safety Executive may have somthing to say about you using tools & mains powered charging equipment in a public lavatory!!
Although, on the other hand it does do away with the potential problem of somewhere to sit while working on the robot!!
Plus it could also be very handy if you suffer a sudden attack of pre fight nerves!! :)

Yeah im planning on travelling All the way from scotland to leicester , can anybody tell me if there is a train station near the event , proably have to get a train to the event , long journey , oh and is there any hotels near the event aswell .

Nearest train station is Loughborough (apox 10min). Loads of hotels near by, and email will go out early Jan with a list of local hotels and contact details.
