Martyn€™s 2nd World Championship qualifiers (sign up)
Ok so the rules except robot numbers and number of entries are the same as MRWS 5 so that€™s simple enough.
Ok pretty much everybody enters two robots each. Each robot entered by each person must represent country as only 2 robots can represent a country.
The robots that automatically qualify are Giga Byte (England) and Killotine Evo (France) as they were runner up and winner of the 1st world champs. Therefore Andy and Steven can enter 2 robots on top of these so therefore can enter 3 robots each.
So that€™s pretty much it so get sinning up.
You dont need to be in MRWS 5 to enter

Martyn’s 2nd World Championship qualifiers (sign up)
Representing Wales: SYNDOS
Representing Gibraltar: Snakebite IV
SNAKEBITE 4
Weight: 110kg
Shape: Low invertable box with wedge shaped like a snakes head at the centre of the front, skirts at either side of the wedge and rounded sides
Dimensions: 90 x 70 x 23
Speed: 18mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to low wedge and skirts, 0 at sides due to skirts, 3mm at rear
Armour: Body is 4mm Hardox; skirts are 3mm titanium

The wedge is split horizontally down the middle and opens up like a jaw hydraulically - this is designed for lifting rather than flipping, and can also clamp on low robots that it gets under. On either side of the wedge are skirts which help get under other robots who arent on the wedge. The skirts and wedge both flop down when inverted so can be used either way up. At the rear is a horizontal MOE-style 8kg 2500rpm spinning blade.
Srimech: Invertable; rounded sides prevent it resting there
Tactics: Try to get under robots, lift and shove them around, and damage them with the blade.
Strengths: Fast; good traction; well armoured
Weaknesses: Low flippers can get it at the rear; has difficulty flipping opponents
SYNDOS (SLICE N DICE ON STEROIDS)
Weight: 96kg
Shape: Invertable box with rounded sides and rear

Sorry, but Ive gotta do some n00b flaming here.
1) How does your walking robot reach 26mph?
2) Is there such thing as bullet proof titanium?
3) How does the walking mechanism work inverted?
4) What powers the weapons and drive?
Am I right in thinking I have a space reserved in this, Martyn? If not save me one please, Im going to try and design a new vapour for this tournament.
-

it has the same drive as drillzilla
and yes there is such thing have you ever seen the stats for dominator2
the spears make it be invertable

Manic Monsoon will represetn Wales
Name: Manic Monsoon
Weight: 100kg
Armour: 5mm Hardox all over.
Speed: Roughly 28mph
Shape: Box wedge with side skirts and rounded back.
Weapon 1: A linear actuator powered lifter running by a 4 bar system at 24v. This can lift 200kg easily.
Weapon 2: A small strip of Grade 5 Titanium on the front wedge, which gives 0mm ground clearance.
Strengths: Powerful drive and good strong weapon
Weaknesses: A bit too fast and hard to control when at full speed.
Ground Clearance: 0mm on front and sides, 1cm at back.
Srimech: Invertible, but can self right using the lifter if wanted to.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 B42-500 MagMotors running at 60v. This gives Monsoon approx 60HP! The robot has a total of 6 wheels, 3 on each side. Each side is linked together by a set of heavy duty belts, giving 0m turning circle and the manoeuvrability of a 2 wheeled bot, and each wheel is coated in Vulcalon. The front wedge is angled at 42.5 degrees, meaning that it is not too steep or too shallow. The lifting arm is powered by a S28-150 MagMotor, and is made from 7075 Aluminium. The lifter itself can lift a total of 200kg, and can self right the robot if needs be. The side skirts are made from 4mm Titanium and are hinged.
Pure Evil: Revenge Of The Disc will represent Portugal
Name: Pure Evil: Revenge of the Disc
Weight: 100kg
Armour: 4mm Titanium ring spinner and 4mm Titanium flipper/wedge.
Speed: 8mph
Shape: It is a ring spinner with a front wedge.
Weapon 1: The main body is a ring spinner made from 4mm Titanium, with Titanium teeth all over it. It is powered by a C40-400 Magmotor running at 36v and geared down 2:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 3888RPM. The disc weighs a total of 40kg and can dish out 174kJ of energy per hit.
Weapon 2: A spinning kinetic powered flipper, based on Team Whyachi€™s €œWarrior SKF€Â. It uses the kinetic energy from the disc to power the flipper, meaning it can flip with a total of 58KJ of energy.
Strengths: Unique and powerful weaponry. Good control.
Weaknesses: Takes a long time to self right due to the disc needing to spin up successfully.
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front and sides of flipper, 5mm at back due to ring spinner.
Srimech: The flipper can successfully self right the robot.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 800w 36v DC motors giving 8mph top speeds. The wheels are made from Vulcalon, and have screws embedded in them to help gain traction on the arena floor. The ring spinner is powered by a C40-400 Magmotor geared down 2:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 3888RPM. There are 15 1€ cubed Titanium teeth all over the horizontal spinner, giving it 174KJ of energy on impact when used as a spinner. The flipper works because there is an eccentric land on top of the spinning ring. The top link connected to the flipper plate has a groove in it, when fired the top link engages with the spinner land and pulls backward flipping the plate up. At the front of the flipper there is a 4mm Titanium €œnose€ with a sharpened edge designed to get under all skirts and ground clearances. When the spinner is spinning at full speed, the flipper flips with 58kJ of energy. All the electrics are kept within the 50cm diameter of the ring spinner.

easy ive got smaller drives in simpson. ok Im gonna change the spears into legs which stick out in the top hence making it be invertable. If drillzilla can do it how come us british cant

Here it is, the all new, al shiny, Back to Rock II!!!
Name - Back to Rock II
Shape - A box with a slightly sloped front
Weight - 100 Kilogram
Speed - 29 km/h (18mph)
Dimensions - 90x75x30 cm
Ground Clearance - 0 at sides and front, 2 mm at the back
Power - 2x Etek motors at 48 volt
Movement - Four wheels, 20cm diameter
Turning Circel - Zero
Weaponry - It has a broad hydraulic lifting arm which can easily lift 200 kg. To easily get underneath an opponent, it has two lifting plates at the bottom of the arm, one on the left end and one on the right end, instead of one large lifting plate like Behemoth.
Between the two plates, in the centre of the scoop, I mounted a vertical diamond edged Pussycat-style blade, powered by a S28-150 Magmotor, spinning upwards at approximately 3000 RPM, which will hopefully rip off some armour, or more likely, a tire, while lifting an opponent. Jamming a blade into an opponent while lifting it hopefully provides as much control over an opponent than a Behemoth-style grabbing claw/axe can, and it€™ll surely do more damage. (To avoid confusion, the blade is actually part of the lifter, so when the lifter moves up, the blade moves along).
On both sides of the bots is a pair of 5 mm titanium skirts, to make sure I won€™t get flipped very often, as hydraulic srimechs just aren€™t as fast as pnuematic ones.
Armour - 6 mm titanium all around
Srimech - The lifter self-rights the robot when needed
Strenghts - Nice weapon synergy, high traction, low ground clearance
Weakness - Hydraulic srimech might prove to be slow

DrillZilla was technically a shufflebot not a walker. After DrillZilla competed in the World Championships the rules were changed so that shufflebots got no extra weight advantage. Here in FanFic we decided that was slightly unfair and raised the limit, most tournaments now give shufflers a 150kgs limit. So if you are using shuffling plates instead of walking legs then you are likely to be overweight at 184kgs.
Hope that makes some sort of sense as to why you cant.
Martyn: Is it possible for two of my robots to represent the same country or can I only have one for that country?

Martyn’s 2nd World Championship qualifiers (sign up)
Name - Axe to Fall
Shape - Take a cylinder, cut it in halve, and then put it on the ground, rectangular side heading downwards. The straight ends are the left and right sides, and are sloped. (Well, just take a look at the picture =P )
Weight - 100 Kilogram
Speed - 24 km/h (15 mph)
Dimensions - 115x80x40 cm (due to axe hanging out, main body is 80x80x40 cm)
Ground Clearance - 0 at front, 7 mm anywhere else
Power - 2x LEM130s at 48v
Movement - Four inner wheels, 10cm diameter
Turning Circle - Zero
Weaponry - The main weapon is a 5 kg double-headed axe on top of the machine, it€™s a steel 80 cm shaft with two diamond edged blades made of hardox on the end of it. The blades are shaped like the Mortis€™ blades, in order to create some nice slices into opposing armour.
The whole axe is powered by 2 nitrogen bottles at 1000 psi, a 1 kg buffer bottle and a 30 mm bore ram, for fast and furious hits, with a downforce of almost 2 ton brought onto a fine blade, and an energy unleash which seems significantly higher than for example Beta€™s if my calculations are right.
At the front of Axe to Fall is a small wedge/ram made out of 8 mm Titanium, to lift my opponent€™s wheels into air while clobbering them with my blade, or perhaps even to grab him. This ram is also my plan B if my axe fails in battle, just ram them hard using my good traction.
Armour - 8 mm Titanium front and 15 mm polycarb for the rest of the bot.
There are also two small blocks of vulcanized rubber on the mid-front and the mid-back of my machine, to absorb the downforce where the axe hits the chassis.
Srimech - The axe acts as a srimech, thanks to the curved shape of the top my bot can self right in no time, even if it has to self right over the wedged front (the wedge is very small mind you).
To make sure my bot won€™t end up on his side, I created a pair of curves on both sides, as can be seen on the picture.
Strengths - Destructive weapon, quick at self righting
Weakness - Weapon only works when opponent is in front of or behind the machine.
