Welcome to the AJWars Christmas Rumble. This is just a small 8 to 1 knockout tournament. I would like 8 people to enter one robot each, however I would like these robots to all be roller robots (no walkers or shufflers). You will be fighting in the AJWars arena. Other than the rules stated above FRA rules apply. Just ask if you have any questions.

Ill enter Battle Raptor 3. Its stats are on the first page of The Assassination. Since this is an Xmas rumble, Ill also include bits of tinsel on the corners and a novelty Santa hat on the raptors head (nailed on so it wont fly off when the weapon fires).

Name: Automatic Schmuck
Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 120mm diameter main, 30mm €˜castor€™ front wheels)
Speed: 24.16KM/H (15.10 MPH)
Weight: 98.42kg
Height: 130mm at peak; variable from 28mm upwards.
Length: 870mm
Width: 743mm
Ground Clearance: 0 at sides w/ skirting, 0 at rear with €˜hinged€™ wedge, 0 at front with wedge; 12mm at the point nearest the back wheels otherwise, down to 5mm at the front wheels.
Weapon: 17.14kg kinetic-energy bar. 13.10kg, 111.2cm long bar, 2 2.02kg hardox weights (one at each end). It€™s powered by a C40-300 on a separate power supply at 24V, which when geared down 2.4:1 gives me a safe 1700RPM (spin-up = less than 0.5 seconds), and a heck of a lot of KE to transfer at the tips. The weapon system is held securely in place on steel box-section supports parallel to the wedged top of the robot, minimizing shock output to the rest of the robot.
Drive: 4 S28-300 3€ MagMotors, 2 on each rear wheel, on 24V. This gives me easily 10HP and a lot fo torque despite the healthy speed.
Batteries: 2 x 24V 3Ah Battlepacks (drive), 2 x 12V 3Ah Battlepacks (weapon). They are all shock-mounted, and slot together due to the unique curving on the outside of Battlepacks, allowing secure holding.
Chassis/Armour:
Chassis: 30 x 30 x 4mm Ti/V box section.
Armour: 13mm Ti/V all round. The skirting is 9mm Hardox plating, as they are all very small, and the two wedges are made from 6mm Hardox plating.
Electronics: Runs a RoboWars.org BMC speed controller with Hitec Focus SS-3 75mhz PCM 3ch Radio and a 3-axis computer Gyro for maxium control and handling. Uses 150amp rated Anderson power pole connectors and locking pins. Electronics are shock mounted and mounting in a floating style encased in HD (High Density) foam.
Notes: Spinning upside down, paired with the wedged style of the bot, allows a very quick & easy form of self-righting. Designed to knock the shit through some more superbots, for old times€™ sake.

Wheels = 2.21kg
Gearboxes = 4.20kg
Batteries = 7.38kg
Armouring = 29.86kg
Weapon mounting and weapon drive components = 9.14kg
Weapon motor = 5.04kg

I will grab drath dread from the sides or rear and show it where the pit is. The hammer wont damage me as linear actuators are very slow and not that powerful.

Main tactics here will be to manouevre under the low sides (should be achievable with my spikes and Firestorm blade). From there, itll be a case of squeezing through the titanium or puncturing the tyres before dragging it off to any nearby Pit. :proud:
As for the other fights, Ill take Kody, Richie and Lord Roper to clain victory in the other duels :)
(PS to the Reindeer - you cant get 3mm Hardox :wink:)

And I believe The Judge uses linear actuators for its hammer, so NO DAMAGE?! :proud: *grins maniacally*
Tactics: Ram him full at the front, and start to smash him to pieces. About 1 or 2 hits should be enough to kill him, even with 3.6mm hardox armour the insides will move around a lot and Ill very likely dislodge a motor. Maybe if Im lucky I might hit a claw, but then thats just plain toying with him :proud:

Here I will manouver Avalanche around to the sides and rear and push him around the arena. I probably wont be able to get under him, but I will try to open the pit and attempt to shove him in it. The red nose on the wedgw will be flashing throughout the battle as well!

Ohhh boy, am I gonna love this.
The weapon, as it sits at least 36cm off the ground, is already 23cm too high to hit me; even the bar at the back only goes up 24cm and as such is 10+cm too low to be contacted.
We also have almost identical pushing power; he has 4 S28-150 (the smaller ones that CANNOT be used in Heavyweights due to their tendency to blow up under such loads) MagMotors at 24V producing 9.6MPH; I have 4 S28-400s at 24V producing 15MPH. The loss in torque should make it match his while allowing me extra speed. My wheels are hugely wide as well.
The wedges are both to my knowledge as low as possible (his skirts, my wedges) and if his are 7mm, then well be on similar terms. My extra momentum may allow me to slip under, but even so if I cant, I wont go flying up his sides.
My main tactic is to annoy him as much as possible by taking my free cheapshots at his skirts, whichll eventually rip them off from shcok at the hinges and give me wide open spaces to chew. He cant go underneath me anywhere (neither can I on him), so it makes his weapon completely ineffective. The extra momentum I have mauy be the only thing allowing me to go under him; at 9.6MPH he cannot do the same.

Name - Ring of Terror Among the Evil (R.O.T.A.T.E) :proud:
Color - Chrome, but rusty hammers
Shape - R.O.T.A.T.E is almost a Son of Whyachi clone, but there are many differences. First, my robot has spinning hammers, that weigh a nice 10 lbs. The hammers combined are about 40.4 lbs. Second, it has a rounded top. Third, it has a srimech, and can move to that side to get the arm out. Finally, its a pyramid shape.
Motors - R.O.T.A.T.E is powered by two S28-400 motors, whilst (cool I used that word :proud:) the spinning hammers are powered by a series wound MagMotor.
Batteries - For each motor I have 6 SLA batteries. Theyre decent, and have enough power for 3 full matches.
Speed Controller - VANTEC, if you please
Tracks - Instead of using wheels, Ive decided to use two tracks, made of the same material 101 uses, so opponents like Spin Dash would have a hard time sawing them up.
Speed - Despite its power, R.O.T.A.T.E is reasonably slow at 9mph
Armor - Ah, armor. The armor of R.O.T.A.T.E, if anyone is able (right...) to get at it, is 4mm Hardox 450, whilst (:proud:) the underside is 3mm Hardox 600. This should withstand many robots weapons.
Weight Distribution
Hammers, arms holding them, and ring - 65 lbs
Speed Controller, batteries, and motors - 35 lbs
Armor - I believe its 70-80 lbs. If not correct me, and Ill modify it.
The rest (including srimech) - 50-60 lbs
Final weight - About 220lbs.
Weapons - The main spinning weapon is a rotating ring wielding 10 lb hammers made of an iron / chormium alloy. The MagMotor that powers it allows it to spin at 1350 rpm. This is enough to send a robot FLYING across the arena, if not then immoblizing it instantly. The hammers are 12cm away from the robot body, and are 1.5cm off the ground, and they get up to speed in 2.3 seconds. Also, its a good pusher, meaning the average robot wouldnt be able to outpush it, like, whatshisface, Voltronic. :proud:
Ground Clearance - About 4mm, meaning the hammers are lower than the robot itself :wink:
Turning Circle - 0
Srimech - At the front is a self-righting arm made of hardox 450, so it cant get damaged that easily. To get to that side, I can activate my hammers sudenly cuasing it to roll over. This takes time, but its a great way get back into the fight.
Strengths - Good pushing power, great weapon, hard to KO
Weaknesses - Newcomer, tricky to control

I will select the dominator 2 axe head and my tactics are simple, drive at it, fire the axe, try to get it caught and spin around on the spot to break traction and spin it into the arena wall.
Unless, there is house robots, if so...

Geez, last time I was asking Peter Morgan at Magmotor about there range of motors, there wasnt an Series Wound Magmotors, care to enlighten us Samantha?
And how:
*you have a 24.6lb ring & arms with 40.4lb of hammers, yet expect it not to disintegrate on impact;
*how the HELL you fit 6SLAs (presumably 7Ah+, and a minimum of 2.8kg per battery) per motor, giving 18 x 2.8 x 2.2 (kg-lb conversion) = 110.8lbs! That means your speed controllers, motors & weapon motor are an amazing -50.8lbs!
*there are no mounts at all for anything included. how are they mounted? air? mounts weigh stuff.
*a chassis & SRIMECH inside 50lbs, with a set of hammers weighing almost as much?!? The bots heading for suicide city, even if it hit the weakest armoured bot itd just disintegrate.
Sorry, it had to be said. Dont include weight distributions if you dont know what youre talking about. They arent always necessary.
