Smash 2004 - Stoke-on-Trent 8th August

After the success of last years static display event at the Potteries Shopping Centre, we can confirm a follow up event.
This years event will have a full weeks build up of Robot related shows etc starting on the 2nd August and will end on the 8th August with a 1 day Feather Weight Challenge (Full combat).
We are looking for both Feather weight and Heavy weight teams, unfortunately the Heavies will only be on display in the shopping centre.
If your interest please post below or email me (address on profile, photos of your robot would be a great help)
As per last year food and an appearance fee will be supplied.

More details will be posted on Mutes website as we get them.

Time for an update

The event will be run by Roaming Robots in their excellent Featherweight arena, will the usual hazards.

The competition will be a knockout competition run over the day to find the Smash 2004 champion. There will also be the usual whiteboard and melees.

The event will run from 10.00am till 4.00pm

Each team will receive a
£25.00 appearance fee
Luchtime meal (local delicacy)
Free parking in the city centre

There will also be an area for selling of merchandise (please mail me if you wish to sell merchandise)

Hi, sorry to crash this important thread with spectator related issues, but can anyone tell me if theres a charge to get in to the combat/display areas and if so, how much?

Myself and other famous forum celebrites (ha!) may be showing our faces at this event, so any info for your average spectator would be handy! :)

This one is a free to view event, basically the arena is next to the main shopping centre and the pits are inside the indoor market.

On the sunday we will have two arenas, one for the feather weight fights and the other is Jonnos pay to drive arena

Yep, theres was two attachments a word doc with directions and a pdf file map. Can you confirm if you got them

Can anyone who has a regulator which I can buy/borrow for this event please contact me please. I am going to co2 for this event but am finding it hard to get a regulator for it. And with technobots being shut i cant get one from there either.

It looks feasible, as I happen to be in Manchester at the weekend, if I was at home it wouldnt be on.

Can someone confirm the finishing time please?
Ive seen 4pm and 5pm, and it will make a big difference to my travel plans. (which will be made more difficult if its 5pm)

It definitely starts at 11am though?

(btw, I notice some differences between the list here and that on the RR site - which one do we go by?)
