We play without weapons - its quite fun Sam.
And with your big Mag Motors and big wheels - it wouldnt do too badly around the arena Shredder, slamming into everyone etc - would be good to watch.

The way Chris drove out of the arena doors during your qualifying - was really fast etc Sam. Would do good smashing other bots around - come on Sam :sad:

Mike - Mighty Mouse and Velocirippa are seriously interested, both should be running properly.
Sam - we have been running as rammers for years and we have great fun so stop being mardy.

Let me just check the map to find out where Portsmouth is..... Ah, thats the city with the naff football team and only 25 miles from home - Southampton. It will ne nice not to have to travel to the far reaches of the north like Nottingham for once :)

I always wanted to see a live event, but as they have been up north and out of reach on the humble south-west trains, I am interest to coming as a watcher and see some of the robots.

jonno, what type of name is stealth? Knowing your building methods, the sheer size of Ripper there is no way on earth that you could build a stealth robot.
Mind you, It could lurk in the pit and attack Dantomkia when I do my usual and drive into the pit.

Yes I have a robot which is small, even fits in the boot of my little Yaris without moving the seats... bonus. :)
Steel construction, brand new bosch drive, custom made wheels, runs either way up, 4qd 70 controllers, bosch powered 1:1 ratio belt driven triangular disc @ 24v direct using relays, titanium / what ever the boys at rolls Royce decide would be good to use blades being made, which fit onto the disc. Weapon reversible for upside down driving. Even got a remote kill on it.
Just needs my spare batteries fixing in, and a receiver and it is ready to go. Oh and it was originally made for the 80kg weight limit, so I got to put 20kg of something on it :)
Oh yes what€™s even better..... I was given it in the state in the picture :) .... for free. !!!

mmm maybe it is scar, i wondered where it came from orinaly, the guy i was given it by , bought it and another one from the guy for £400...would love to know the history of it.... lots of many hours work gone into it.
Actually had it driving today, lots of fun.
Its not much bigger than our featherweight.
85cm wide, by 75cm long, by 35cm high.
Need to make some battery brackets and a top panel and its ready to fight.

I thought it was a fine looking beast, but remeber they had problems, either at robot mayhem before RW4 or during filming, when the resin gears in the weedy gearboxes sheared their teeth... sort that out and you have a very pretty little robot, and built a while ago, so able to add 20kgs to... (didnt think youd BUILD a little bot)
well its chain drive now, looks very sturdy, all adjustable, and looks reliable.
I hope so.

Ive just had major taruma building the new tanto 50mm longer than before
(55cm long 60cm wide 30cm tall wheel height)
might get close to the 100kg mark this time
