Robots & Spares
Looking to streamline Scot-Bots gear and also moving to a new house without as much workshop space so gauging interest in some of the stuff I don't use as much as I should.
HW Robot Eric - Hasn't been looked at since last years RL Edinburgh and now that Scot-Bots is attempting to run van-less its a luxury we no longer use. Comes with everything except speed controller, batteries although I have some batteries that may be of use for it, and hydraulic reservoir/oil. Looking for about £250 or so
HW Robot T-Bone - Comes with scoop and partial weapon assembly. Same reason as above, no real way to transport it and wont have the space at future events. £40
FW FP Flipper System - Complete 60 x 60 FP system from Eric Jr2, built by Mario. Reckon I saw one sell for £275 from Dave + p+p, so will look for the same
FW Chassis - Eric Jr2 - Rolling chassis, Welded Ti and HDPE base, 3 sets of wheels and 18/24v GR02 motors with Gimson attachments. £120 or so posted, less if you want to pick it up
24v NiMH 3700mAh FW batteries - Used in my FWs, used but still work fine. Made up of 2 x 12v packs wired up together. Can be separated if required. Offers
Also interested to see what sort of offers i'd get on my MW:
Formerly Tanto Jr - Bosch 400 drives on kart wheels, full Hardox construction, Roboteq ESC and a set of 12v SLA and 24v NiCad batteries depending on whether you want to go for speed or longevity in its runs. Open to offers, but wouldn't be letting it go cheap. One of the things I do still bring along to events but isn't utilised as much as i'd like it to be.
Thats all for now! Probably more to come, unless anyone is interested in any bits of music equipment, guitars, guitar/bass stacks and drum kit parts i'm getting shot of too but won't waste time listing on here, if you want that kind of thing, PM me.
-
Love to have a few bits off that list, but can't afford them. :(
-
I'm interested in T-bone, it all depends however on the yes or no verdict on my parents.
-
Have you got any pictures?
-
I'll get some. What are you wanting them of?
-
Photographs of the general condition of all robots in question would be nice.
-
Another thing I forgot to add:
I have a pile of bits that are intended to be the claw attachment for the MW. 2 GLA6000 actuators and mounts with 2 ESCs controlling them and CAd designs for the claw. Intended to have it all built but had a bit of a mishap when the claws were made and they didn't fit. CAD can be seen here:

If anyone's seen Carcinus since the last FW Champs they're know that the claws look awesome when they're made. The more I look at it the more I really want to finish it.
-
-
how much would it cost to make claw like that?
-
The ones that had the 'mishap' were half the size they were meant to be, and are the ones now on Carcinus. They are 5-6mm steel and it was £50 to have them waterjetted. That was for a pair, so no idea if one claw but double the size would also be £50. Something I also didn't consider when designing it was the additional cost of blowing through for a new hole/cut which, considering there are 15 holes per claw, would've added to the price. Best bet would be to contact companies for quotes.
-
A funny mishap though, all turned out well in the end! As Jamie said, depends what you make it from, how you make then etc. but in robot terms it's not mega money, even if you go for Hardox or similar.
-
How much are you looking for tanto+claw parts?
-
Probably wouldn't let it go for a lot under about £600 for all the bits I have. Had forgotten about the claw bits so haven't thought about price with them too much. Will see what sort of offers I get.
-
I'm interested in the fw flipper set up, please could you forward a list of parts and a picture
-
Pictures of their current condition would be nice ^_^
-
The chassis is sold.
If you mean the FP setup, heres a photo here:

The bottle and PRV screw on to the attachment facing the camera but with them on you cant really see anything else.
-
Can I have more details on Eric condition?
-
Tony can i get exact measurements and weights of all parts, technical drawings and material specification sheets? Oh and traceability on all parts from the billets they originally came from? :)
-
How many atoms in that ram exactly?
-
Thanks for that, once you confirm where the aluminium was made, I'll make an offer ;)
-
can you sell the FW Chassis Eric Jr2 without 18/24v GR02 motors & attachments?
-
Concerning the FP setup.
@ Gabe01
The aluminium 80mm diameter billet used for the ram was "probably" cast and rolled in Duffel, Belgium at the Aleris plant.
As it was a cut off I aquired from SABCA , I can't provide the air-space grade paperwork that goes with this kind of ali.
I hope this satisfies the "curiosity" concerning the ali.
@Gary, no you can't get the drawings.
@ Psychostorm, sorry, a indeterminate amount of atoms got lost due oxidation, movement and temperature changes.
-
-
Once is enough, I do other things outside of robotics.
Its as I said it was really? Not sure what else you want to know. Needs generally updated. If I put the RoboteQ back in there the drive would work, but it could do with an upgrade. Weapon needs a new reservoir and refill then it should work when wired back up to the electrics. Not sure what else you want here. No time to take photos yet, will try again when I have a chance.
You're welcome to have a look in person if you want.
-
Gary: All the measurements, specs and materials are the ideal size/design/specification ;)
Ceri: Exactly the right amount of atoms went into making it.
-
How much does Eric Jr cost WITH the pneumatic system?
EDIT: Never mind, I saw the chassis was sold.
-
-
I did, sorry for the delay. Have now replied :)
-
Haven't been here in a while, not sure if I got a load of PM's recently or if they've been sitting there a while but I think i've replied to them all. Everything on the list still for sale. Will put the photos up that I forgot to put up whenever it was that I said I would originally!
-
-
The Pneumatics are still for sale?
-
-
I take it you're now selling the shell separately. ;p
-
As in just whats in the last photo on the last page there? No, it has a baseplate too. I keep it in two pieces so I can take the shell off during Scot-Bots shows to prevent hands don't get tempted to get themselves trapped through the bars or under the flipper and causing tears. If the FWs made the kids cry what would we need Pilgrim for?

FP System Sold
Rolling Chassis Sold
Just found an unused pair of Gimson GR01's if anyone interested, if not they'll find a home eventually in something or other here.
-
Do you know which versions they are?
-
-
Are they 9.6v/ 12v or 14v?
