Rather bored, so decided to create a build diary.
Those of you who went to Portsmouth may have noticed that The Steel Avengers axe and srimech weren't working, this was due to the fact that the recievers battery was running very low on charge, and that one of the wires connecting the reciever to the circuit bored had come loose. Everything is now fully working, all ready for Maidstone.
i was wondering how did you get the steel avenger? buy it off the original owners or something
Yeah, I bought it from John and Jacky Willoughby who where the original owners :)
X-Terminator - It needs a lot of work, but should be a nice winter project.

A lot of work is true, that's what's puts me off
Lots of rust to compete with these. For Scar, I made a molasses solution and left the rusty parts in that for a few weeks and they turned out great, might be an idea as it is very very cheap.
Luckily X-t is made from aliminium, so rust isn't an issue, everything else is a problem though :lol:
I meant for the axe and shaft the axe is turning on. Looks like there's a fair bit of rust there.

Where have you got all these robots from? :P
I bought some robot wars items from Perry who built Mr Nasty, and I asked him what had happened to his robot. He said he had sold it, so I the spoke to the man he sold it to, and he had bought the X-t shell aswell, but he wasn't using them, and was fed up wiith them taking up space in his garage, so he sold them to me (luckily they where very cheap) :)

Stick a scoop on Mr Nasty and get him going again, possibly dead batteries too. Think we spoke about this already actually haha.
Oh, and radio gear
:lol: Yeah, I remember speaking about this before. Adding a scoop will be easy, as the front panel can be unscrewed and taken off, the spike is just screwed on aswell, so it' easy to change.
is that more 40mhz radio gear to sell to me then :lol:

Started work on Mr Nasty and X-Terminator today. Mr Nasty needs the batteries replacing, but luckily the motors still work. Everything else on Mr Nasty works, but X-t needs to have the motors and batteries put in, and everything needs to be wired up.

Thanks :) and yeah, X-t's likely too keep me busy for a long time, hopefully I'll get everything running eventually.
Switched the batterys on Mr Nasty over today, and it now works well. Mr Nasty is now fully working, just got a small amount of damage on SA from the event in Portsmouth to fix, X-t will need a lot of work, but hope to get it running soon.
had the hawkers been left charged, if so you might be able to bring them back abit by putting a few good cycles through them? If they were flat then you won't be able to.
