Removable link
Ok I've got 2 different voltages in my robot (12v for the drive, 18v for the lifter)
If I used Plus (positive) on each battery that would mean I need 2 links(one for 12v, one for 18v)
I was thinking if i put the negative(GND) as ground that would mean I could put the 2 batterys GND together,
This would enable me to only have one link.
The only question is: Is this allowed as I thought only positive can be the link?

Re: Removable link
The only down side in this set up is you will be using a common negative for both volages and if you get a short before the link you still have a live system ...two links is acceptable on the posative side on each circuit ....
This method is likened to some Heavyweights that run Two links 1 for drive and 1 for weapons .....

Re: Removable link
why not just have two links?

Re: Removable link
yeh i would sugest you use two links, and any way it means you can have only one system working at the same time (like when you testing it)

Re: Removable link
can you not just use a deans connector with a wire loop as the pull/handle as your saftey ring/removable link?
One on each positive wire from the batteries?
