How much are people paying for arena's these days? I have been doing some research into polycarbonates for the arena walls. Its ridiculously expensive. What thickness are people using for their walls? And what are they making the arena floor from? Thank you! :wink:
don't bother making an arena, its kind of pointless
roaming robots use wood for their floor and i think robochalange use steel
polycarbonate pannels would be about 5mm robchalange will be thicker though

... not many people have there own arena's... only about 3.... robotslive, robochallenge, and roamingrobots.
Most people just test there robots on a sheet of ply wood in there garden or in a car park etc.
Arena's range from layers of ply on the floor, up to welded hardox sheets.
Arena walls are generally between 5-10mm polycarbonate.
a large car park can also suffice for testing purposes. Was the only way we could test typhoon 2 back in the day. Nowadays just use my garage, concrete floor and walls

Not if it's an enclosed car park in a TA compound 150m by 150m with a camera setup on a tripod on a 4 tonne truck around 50m away and us standing behind that :)
