Help me catch up!
Hi,
I grew up watching (and loving) robot wars.
I just recently found out that the sport lives on through groups like €˜roaming robots€™ and €˜robots live€™ and was wondering if someone could answer a few questions that would help me catch up?
1) I know separate groups have their own tournaments and events but is there a tournament that has taken over the role of the grand UK championship in the wake of €˜Robot Wars€™ and if so, where is the best place to keep up with it?
2) Is there anyway I can watch and catch up with previous events/championships? I found a few videos on YouTube, but it€™s hard to know if and how one leads onto another. I€™d really like to be able to watch a whole tournament in order.
3) Like the last question, is there anyway I can watch new/future competitions in full? Online etc?
I€™m really glad to see the sport is still going and hope to see any events that might come near my neck of the woods.
Cheers! :)

Re: Help me catch up!
Welcome back!
The UK featherweight championship has been run by robo challenge over a long weekend. Still great fun.
The UK heavyweight championship has been on a league format until the final 4 fight off for the title on the winter tour of roaming robots. Except for this year, where is expected to be a weekend arrangement somewhere... Iconic.
YouTube is still the best place to see past events because outside the early roaming robots DVDs these events aren't normally recorded. Sorry about that.
