im thinking whether to have 4 wheels with 4 wheel drive with wheels in the body or have 6 wheels with 6 wheel drive and the two middle wheels sticking out of the body so they will fit?
Would it be to heavy to have 6 drill motors with gearbox?
Do you know of a good cheap programable 5channel (or more) 2.4GHz transmiter/ recever.

I think doing 6WD in any way is complicated unless you're Geoff Smith or Ed hoppit :) I'd stick with 4WD with 4 drill motors, its worked well in lots of robots past and present (Whirlpool and Blitz Quattro spring to mind)
In terms of radio gear, the cheapest 2.4GHz set you can buy is a Radio Link set for £25, this units been tested in feathers and has worked fine, I'll find you the link shortly.
