Full size R2-D2 -complete or parts
I'm building an R2-D2 for a Star Wars thing in April but I have to go away for the month of March on a business trip so I might not get it finished on time.
Does anyone have an R2-D2 for sale? Don't care if its only half build or even just a box of parts. It doesn't have to move or anything but has to be full size and reasonably accurate.
If you have one but don't want to sell it, maybe I could borrow for the first weekend in April?
Let me know if you know anyone who may have started building one and then moved on to something else.
Thanks,
Pete

Hey Pete,
Glad to see you haven't left from the forums...
I''m sure that Grant Imhara (I think that's what he's called) from the US Battlebots (creator of Deadblow) has several R2-D2s.
I don't know his contact details, but I'm sure he may be easy to find.
Re: Full size R2-D2 -complete or parts
Hi George,
Yeah, Grant has built a few. But he is based in the states and probably wouldn't take a call from me anyway.
Astromech's have loads of them and parts in the states but the cost would be outrageous - granted the accuracy would be bang on but I am willing to sacrifice accuracy over cost.
Thanks anyway.
