hi guys im deciding to enter a vapourbot (if it gets done but it wont be now :P ) which mixes my 2 intrests
steam trains (does that make me sad :lol: )
and robotics
ive already made one (merry hampton but its a tornado style)
but im wondering is it possible to make a heavyweight out of the pic in this link

Just make the robot look like a stram train :proud:
i think it might be a clusterbot due to the tender :P
Something with a cow catcher might be good as it can be turned into a lifter/ flipper whilst still looking like a train.
Also, this thing looks like it will be very long and not particularly wide so it will probably not turn as well as something shorter/wider than it and could be very easy to turn over sideways.
im thinking for the turning that the wheels will twist
and the cow catcher idea will be a good idea :P
I'd be more inclined to opt for a 0-6-0 arrangement with cowcatcher as it's shorter so can steer more effectively and gives you a managable number of wheels.
thats the kind of arrangement im going for now
are you a steam enthusiast? just curious as i didnt think anyone on this forum would be intrested in trains :o

on a serious note the smoke deflectors will be pneumatically powerd as self righters :P
I'm not an extremely knowledgable rail enthusiast but I do love trains. Something about them is just really appealing. I don't know if it's the way they look, the way they snake about the tracks or whatever but they're awesome. Makes me want to get my model railway set back up and running. :)
