wheel chair motors wanted
ok , i created this account when i began construction of my HW , as its my first HW im not spending a lot of money. I looked into bosch motors but they are all too expensive for a first bot.
So my question is , does anyone have a pair of identical or similar wheel chair motors , pretty much any size , voltage (up to 48V) and speed as long as they are similar . im not sure of a price so name one  .

Re: wheel chair motors wanted
Ive already looked all over ebay , friday ad and other places , unless i can find somebody to buy them on my behalf , i cant order of ebay as im 14 and my mum hates the thing with a vengance !
I dont mind what condition they are in , but any wheel chair or electric mobility scooter motors would be a god send :).
Re: wheel chair motors wanted
go to a mobility shop they often have spares might be more expensive but you will know the history of the motors
Re: wheel chair motors wanted
ive been to every mobility shop i could think off , they all want to sell me spares at 300-400 each and they all said that broken units (ie the brushes are gone which is easily repairable) are sent back to the manufacturer
Re: wheel chair motors wanted
They're nuts. I got a pair of old motors with the wheels attached for 30 euros from a mobility shop (thats 26 pounds roughly).
Re: wheel chair motors wanted
Tom I have a pair that you can have....they're still attached to the complete chair.
