Mass recall of Spektrum DX6i
Found on the RFL Forum. DX6i recall.
Quote:
Name of Product: Spektrum DX6i Radio Transmitters used with model aircrafts
Units: About 15,000
Manufacturer: Horizon Hobby Inc., of Champaign, Ill.
Hazard: The defective radio transmitters can cause model airplanes and helicopters they control to fall from the sky while in flight and crash into bystanders or property. The propellers can also spin unexpectedly injuring a person standing too close or working on the aircraft. This poses impact and laceration hazards to consumers and a risk of property damage
This seems to only apply to Spektrum DX6i transmitters with date codes 807E, 808E, 809E, 810E, 811E, 812E, and 901E including those ending in €œUS€Â, €œUK€Â, or €œDE€Â.

Re: Mass recall of Spektrum DX6i
I split this topic from the discussion on 40MHz and 2.4GHz as this is important but not part of the other discussion.
Re: Mass recall of Spektrum DX6i
Cheers Leo ...I han't read the whole thread ...just it's heading safety issues and hadn't realised that it was just 40 Mhz versus 2.4 Ghz.
Re: Mass recall of Spektrum DX6i
I have a DX6i, but it dosnt have a date code sticker, just 2008 on the main sticker, how would I find out if its a dodgy one, dosnt give any problems.

Re: Mass recall of Spektrum DX6i
I just tested mine and it works fine, smooth as silk. So that's a relief.
