topic reply notification

hi, how do i turn this off, i get emails that i dont want saying a reply has been posted on a topic i posted on. can i turn this off compeletly?

Log on, into user control pannel. Then under Board prefs you should find Notify me on new private messages: change this to no. Think this is the answer has worked for me so far.

cheers for that but dont think i have found the right option, im now getting them for this topic i just started! can the fra help asap please, i get enough unwanted emails as it is!!

then set Notify me upon replies by default: to No

Another nice link (if you're getting annoyed with having to go to the last page and the last post to check the most recent post) is this...

then set Display post order direction: to Descending

This will put the most recent post at the top of page one. Takes a bit of getting used to but worth it in large forums.

I've turned off both of those email notification things and I'm still getting them. Not for every topic, but they're still being sent. Any suggestions?

You may get replies if you previously posted with the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' checkbox checked (on the posting screen)
