Rebel Robots 09
Hey everyone
Things have been extremely busy since Magna. We learned a lot from our first event the new in fight rules need changing slightly and we need some entertainment aside from the combat.
Rules:-
there are 3 ways to win a fight
1/ Knockout, total immobilization of your opponent
2/ Technical Knockout TKO, loss of drive on one side
3/ Points Victory, win by scoring more points
There are now 2 ways to score points,
1/ to force your opponent over the line
2/ to invert your opponent
aka flip your opponent
Events
We are close to confirming 2 events with a further 3 later this year, one will be a heavyweight capable event
Championship
When we run our next event, we will start our ladder style championship.
Based on the Magna championship we have split the 32 entries into 4 mini leagues of 8, at each event we will run each mini championship.
In each show we will promote and relegate robots into the leagues above and below.
Promotion and Relegation will be 4 up 4 down,
There will be 2 titles to win at the end of the year, The league champion, the robot who wins the most fights over the year
and the ladder champion the robot who finishes top of the top ladder
The year title will be a trophy and the ladder winner will have a wrestling style belt.
At the end of this month Ill have some more news

Rebel Robots 09
No Dave not all robot will be able to make every event and we can always add more leagues
Liam, Well run primarily feather events so the championship is for feathers
think of the Heavy event as an FA Cup to Roaming Robots UK Champs, anyone can turn up and win
