Battery restraints
Hi All
Those of u who were at barnsley, I dont know if u realised that in both of Pugs fights, his battery fell out, Id pretty much like a device that not only keeps the battery restrained to the chassis, but is also easy to fit on, does anyone know what I can use and if they are on Technobots and if u know that, please tell me.
Regards

Liam,
Depending on what the base is made of, and how easily it can be drilled, I would recommend drilling four holes in the base, threading two cable ties into these holes and tightening them around the battery.
Hope this helps,

Cable ties tend to break though especially if they go through the base and are visible on the underside.
We have been using the hose cilps used in cars. Cut them in half, bend them into shape and then bolt them in place. You need to put a bit of packing on top to stop it cutting into the battery.

Just make a bracket from a few strips of aluminium bent around the battery and bolted to your base or frame.

I have used perforated All Round Banding before which is often used for fixing armoured cables to cable tray. You can get it plain galv steel or PVC coated steel.
