14th & 15th March 2009 - Robo Challenge FRA Featherweigh

We are pleased to announce that Robochallenge will be hosting the 2009 Fighting Robots Featherweight UK Championships on March 14th and 15th as part of the first UK Maker Faire.

The event is part of the Newcastle science week and we hope to make this the best UK Championships ever.

As this is quite a distance from usual venues there will be no entry fee for competitors and sign up will be via the Robochallenge website soon.

As well as medals for the podium positions there will be £500 prize fund up for grabs! Robo Challenge will also be donating a custom made trophy to the FRA which will have the names of all the past champions inscribed on it. This will be returned each year for the champion to defend.
