Battle switch twitching
I wired up all the new electronics in hornet 2 today and everything appeared to be great until I started testing the battleswitch I am using.
Quick rundown of my setup,
24v pack of nicads, running to a sabretooth powering 2 18v drill motors. Off the same circuit I have a battleswitch which turns on and off a solid state relay which supplies current to a magmotor. I am using the BEC from the sabretooth to power the spectrum receiver.
The problem,
When I run the drive at full speed the battle switch twitches on and off, pulsing the magmotor when it should be off. Not a major problem as I usually want the magmotor to be on when I am driving anyway but I dont want to have a bug in my system.
Anyone offer any advice or had a similar problem?

It may be that the BEC in the sabretooth doesnt supply enough current for the receiver and battle switch - might be worth testing with a seperate one.

Ive been having a similar problem Gary ...both the Pico and the Battleswitch that I have behave exactly as you describe.
Ive tried everything that I can think of .... my final solution ..tested today... is the old faithful FS-1 in the switchline ..Problem solved.

My battleswitch does the same. Seems to suffer from interference from the motors in Weed. Moving the switch away from the motors sorted this problem out.

Its just a low voltage relay powered from the receiver...which will happily switch the negative or positive feed of the main supply.
