Distel
I bought some of their motors way back for series 4
they ran ok, but were really overpriced..
I used moped chain and sprockets to reduce speed.. ran 8:1 on tank steer, mad as a bag of fish on roller skates.. dont reccommend.. buy some cordless drills

Ok, drill motors, is there a standard gear ratio for the gears that come with battery drills. Having never used them, Ive never needed to ask before. Also what MOD is gear on the motor shaft.
Reason I ask is because I have notice that several people at recent events are having problems with teeth breaking or the plastic casing cracking or the threads going. So I want to see if I can cheaply (relatvly) make a gearbox that fits straigh onto a motor that incorporated a mount.
