1/2nd July 2006 RR at RAF Waddington
Following the success of last years RR Educational project, which saw 7 Lincolnshire schools, over the academic year successfully design, and build feather weights to complete a series of 3 challenges.
This year the project has expanded immensely. Now working with 20 schools, each one again building feather weights, we needed to give them a final event which did their hard work and dedication justice.
The 2006 Aim Higher Robot Challenge final will take place on the Saturday of the RAF Waddington Air Show.
Roaming robots will be attending the show on both days with the heavyweight arena, and will be open for heavyweight teams to support the Educational final with demonstrations, and battles in between their heats.
More details will come nearer the time for roboteers to sign up to attend this event.

The schools are all busy painting, and testing their robots, and there are some really creative ones.
Looking forwards to it.

bad news, edgehog has to withdraw.
not my fault.
Having frozen our butts off all winter (well, pete more than me!) the garage was to converted to a workshop by removing the door and replacing it with bricks, windows, and a specially wide door. All would have been fine, but the workman making this new bit of the workshop have taken 2 weeks longer, and are still not finished. The supporting struts holding things together block the door and windows.
so whats the problem???
we cant get edgehog out until they finish and remove the supports, which could be another 2 weeks. so much for a 2 day job!!
anyway, appologies to roamming robots, and anyone who wanted to see us there, and well catch you at the next one, unless something else stupid stops us.
