Ive just opened it up and the drive gear doesnt seem to want to come away from its pin.
I was going to pull a bit harder but thought it might be best to ask for advice first!
Can anyone give me tips on modding these servos? Or possibly point me in the direction of a modding page specifically aimed at this servo?

yes the naro hp is VERY tight.
basicly just pull it really hard.if not pluck it off with some plyers vey gently.
if you are 360deg modding it its and idea to dril the hole out on the gear to make it a little more free...
i was the same when i got my first naros... you just need to pull hard :P
as for 360modding
try looking through these 2 sites and see if you find something, if not ask on their forums im sure you will get a good answer

Looking at those sights, I should be able to speed hack it too if I want but I think the HP is pretty quick anyway.

yes it is a quick servo
speed hacks arnt recomended to new people... its best to learn to control your robot and get a feel for driving and tactics in fights.
Sorry mate, too late! Dont worry, I didnt do it to the naros but I did speed hack a HS81 and its pretty quick now.

When I get some time Ill actually try to make a half decent website.
HS81 is actually faster, when speed hacked, than the Naro. I went the other way (HS81 to Naro) on Pants and was quite shocked how slow the Naro was in comparison.
At least if you start with a speedy one, you HAVE to learn to drive it....I suggest driving it around a kitchen worktop - youll soon learn to control it in favour of it falling off....

Ive cut a 30 square of hardboard which Ill raise off of the ground so I can start practising.
Not as high as a kitchen worktop though :)
