FRA 2016 UK Heavyweight Championship - Stevenage - 1st and 2nd October 2016

We are pleased to announce the FRA 2016 UK Heavyweight Championship will be hosted by Robots Live! at the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre on 1st and 2nd October 2016.

In consideration of the proposed change to the weight limit of 110Kg the FRA will be allowing the higher limit for this competition to allow improvements already made for the rebooted TV show. However, please note that the weight limit will be enforced strictly and no allowance will be made for scale errors, consumables or safety tethers (excluding sharp edge protection and locking bars).

As stated above, we will be holding the FRA UK Heavyweight championships at this years Stevenage event next month.

Tickets are selling fast, we have also added an additional show to our standard format, there is now a 3pm show on the Saturday. The 4 shows means we might be able to play with the format a bit .

Couldn't remember whether we had already signed up so I've done it again. We'll be bringing Manta and Earthquake.

Beetle Belt signup is now online.

Could any beetleweights please register so we can form a tournament structure ahead of time which fits around everyones requirements.

Also additionally, if you dont have a beetleweight but are otherwise available during the event we do still need one helper. The main requirement is an advanced knowledge of the FRA ruleset and event experience. We aim to be running away from the heavyweight fights, so if youd like to get involved please get in touch.

Is there an Agenda for events? For instance at each show, will there be all classes running or just specific classes?

I had intended to enter but I didn't have everything organised in time, so I'll need to look at a future event. Hoping to see some featherweights run and possibly talk to some of the teams.

Just recovering after the wekeend, as always a massive thank you to everybody who came, great to have the 4 sell out shows. Big shout out to the crew who work so hard getting everything setup and running smoothly; Ed, Dave and Shane. Thanks to Kev for your help on the arena and Jackie and Louise for their help on the merchandise stall. It was the first time for Dave and Marc presenting together, and they did a great job keeping the audienc entertained. And Dave G for making sure everyone can hear them!

A huge congratulations to Gabriel for taking the win, great to see you on the top step (you owe me a drink for putting that polycarb on the walls!), Manta for 2nd place, sooo close to the win, and for TR2 for getitng 3rd place.
