melty brain spinner??

i have seen a few vids of melty brain spinners in operation but i cant for the life of me work out how they work is there a simple explanation somewhere that i can read as im curious about how they are controled

One successful method pulses the drive motors for the 180 degrees that will send the robot forward in the direction you want to go in. I forget where the info on it was located but I looked into it a while back. Didn't see much point in the featherweights as you would just be flung out of the arena.

ok thats cool my only question is ther anyone that could make the controller board for me

short answer, unlikely. People could but those that could would be unlikely to do so as you would be chasing them if a fix or update was required and I doubt you would want to pay a proper hourly rate for their time (I'm making assumptions here) so it would be more of a pain than it's worth for them.

Read this as it's what I was using as my basis when I went through the design work. I did have a disc / chassis made from hardox if you were looking for a solid base for such a machine.

i did read that the problem is that thanks to the powers of my dyslexia that circuit diagram is all but invisible (really a pain in the ass sometimes) i was more meaning would someone be able to physically make the circuit or failing that has a diagram in a darker shade so that i can read it as im asssuming from the vids that it is almost download and go but i would be doing what he does and make a prototype first to check it works befor i make it lethal

ahh right, then that's something different entirely. I'll leave this one up to someone else as it's outwith my expertise

I've just ordered the Baby orangutan B-328 and the serial interface so I can program it.

The only downside to this is that they've used really expensive bits some of which have to come from the states.

I had thought that I'd use an arduino nano but he's specified a 20MHz processor and the arduino is 16MHz.

Just trying to get my head around WinAVR, which doesn't seem to bad.

Soon be time to put the chassis together.
