...use all metal gears within the gearbox?

From AUS if your looking for cheap ones then its pretty much luck. Some have second stage metal, both and none all within the same model. It seems Chinese models have gone down quite a lot in quality recently, also the motors have become a problem too with brushes ceasing to exist with slight overvolting.

I would be very careful even with local recommendations of cheap brands.
