The Grudge Match Challenge - Roaming Robots

The €Team Bud Nut€ competition has proved to be a popular competition which has been running through all the events, however it€™s time for something new !!

The Grudge Match Challenge is a new Roaming Robots competition which will run throughout the year, starting in Maidstone 2012, and it gives the chance for roboteers to seek their revenge on any level.

We€™ve all been there, nemesis robots which bug you, the ones which you don€™t ordinarily get a chance for a one on one fight to distinguish who€™s best, or maybe you think your robot is the best in the UK and you want a chance to prove it, either way this new competition gives an opportunity for some very interesting fights, and of course we will be capitalising on the reason why the fight is taking place in the show.

Here€™s the difference, not only will the roboteers be able to submit their grudge matches, but so will the general public too. We will try our best to organise the best grudge matches for our show but of course roboteers need to be willing to accept the challenge !!!

Roaming Robots will be supplying an appropriate trophy which the winning robot team will get to keep it until the next show, where then it will be used for the next set of robots taking on their challenge. Each grudge match will be recorded on the trophy and we will build up the history of a challenge over the year.

The grudge match challenge has been a brilliant success with lots of suggestions coming in from both roboteers and audience via the website.

We've got the trophy I actually wanted to use now so the temporary Nut will be put back on the shelf and this will be the trophy being used for 2013.

Some great banter between Gilbert and John Lear for the Audience, and other roboteers throughout the show, showing that the RR show just keeps getting better and better and giving the fans what they really want to see.

The grudge match Challenge is hotting up with more and more people coming forward with a grudge against Ripper for some reason. :proud:

So for Barnsley im throwing down a challenge for a royal rumble I'll take you all on !!
