How long do you need, and what size of ram are you planning to use?
You mean this sort of thing? http://www.beltingonline.com/gears-366/ ... n7ruc22sm7
HPC gears have round rack you can get in different Mods
HPC are expensive fot that, try Trent Valley Bearings in Long Eaton Calum, thats where i go, they qouted me about £70 for a MOD2.5 bit for a heavyweight ram.
60mm bore ram, as for length im not sure yet, its got about 60mm stroke i believe - i can't remember off the top of my headQuote:

cheers alan ill check them out, i was making it out of the bits of a pneumatic flipper i made a while ago, to which im going to design properly over the next few days so i'll know more then
mod of gears i was thinking 1.5? that sound about right
are you doing it like THZ with the rod acting as the rack or are you just bolting/welding it on the end? If so i have abit of square rack (i think mod2)
id be just welding it on the end if i can, yeah that would be great alan if i could have that. Going for something basher like in shape with hardox front armour so it can form a team with my spinner if theres tags later in the year
Got a 250mm long 16mm diameter rod, with Mod 2 teeth milled in for 100mm length, maybe something?
If you have 60mm stroke it has some comfortable leeway.
You'll need this gear for 180° stroke
hey, thanks guys yeah that'd be good for me to have of either of you really, are you in the uk can i ask? depending on what alan has, as hes only a short drive away from me as he lives near by.
my rams piston is around 16mm so i can just chop what i need and weld it on the end.
