I'm pretty sure they're banned now.
For main tank use they have to have an on off valve or adapter. You can take the valves off and they'll make good buffer tanks though
cool, how come there banned?
Co2 main tanks must have an on/off valve instead of just turning on when screwed in, I believe this is for safety reasons. Are they full bottles?
The rules are clear.
In other words, those tanks ain't banned.Quote:
9.6 Remote Isolation Valve
Gas cylinders that do not incorporate a valve (for example: the gas is released as soon as the cylinder is screwed into it€Ÿs mating pneumatic connection) such as found on disposable welding bottles and €žfizzy
drinks€Ÿ machines must have an additional remote isolation valve accessible from outside of the robot.
But it takes a bit more effort-weight and money wise- to use them
ok so if i put a on/off valve they would be ok, cool
hi got a quick question on pressure testing as i have an old dry powder extinguisher that has 25bar stamped on the bottom and i only intend to use it up to about 10-11 bar as a reservoir, would i need to get it tested or would i be ok to use it
It seems you should have some documentation stating the parts used are rated at the working pressure or better.Quote:
9.7 Rating
All pneumatic components used with pressures greater than 50psi (3.4bar) must be rated/ tested to at least
the maximum pressure available in that part of the system. You may be required to provide documentation/certification to support this.
9.7.1 Custom Components
Custom made components, or parts operating above the suppliers maximum working pressure, must be
independently tested and certified at 120% of the maximum system pressure available at that point.
it does have 25bar stamped on the tank but there is no uptodate paperwork
