Pneumatic cylinder holes

I`ve just got an SMC compact cylinder http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1808235949...84.m1439.l2649
and looking inside the input/output holes are just 2mm, should I drill them out or will it be enough?

Could be NO.

You must check on the position of the piston in relation to the hole when retracted ... as I recall the type you have drops almost to the edge of the 2mm hole ..

Your also loosing a fair bit of stroke with the magnet activation additional part of the piston.

bugger. will have a look as soon as I can find some decent tools to get it apart!

ok its been dismantled...
I don`t think it can be drilled enough to make it effective and I can`t test it without some different threaded connectors (might be USA spec?) so I`ve bought a similar sized Festo and rearranged the insides of my robot to accomodate.
It`ll be back on ebay along with a couple of other bits I don`t need now.
