		Bruiser II
Im building a new robot, Bruiser 2. Bruiser 2 will be an improvement to the first Bruiser, and it's going to be more like the original designs, but not what bruiser ended up being like.
Sadly it's going to be another Black HDPE robot as we don't have the correct machining capability to use any descent metals (or the budget). We have already orders most of the parts, the motors have already arrived. We are using two speed 900 replicas for drive, although the problem is, they are quiet a bit longer than it says on the website, so we had to redesign quiet a bit. Hopefully it should be finished by the uk champs (but if it's being held on the other date, not at the gadget show live then we can't make it so it would be finished for next year), but we only have a few weekends to build it in, so it's going to be a rush once it all arrives!
Motors look ok, but quiet a bit bigger than expected http://s1111.photobucket.com/albums/h46 ... F6FA76.jpg

		Re: Bruiser II
Awesome! Bruiser did really well last year, so looking forward to seeing a further improved version.

You going to keep that wedge you built after?

		Re: Bruiser II
yes probably, as we were hopefully keeping the old bruiser running, as its pretty sturdy, so we don't have to worry about it breaking to easily.

		Wheels and HDPE arrived,

although the wheels are a lot less grippy than we thought, so we gonna see if it's grippier after the surface has warn off, if its not, then we will just screw some tire tread onto it, the stuff from technobots still hasn't arrived, which is surprising because there normally quiet quick. Structural Work will probably start today

There some wheels I found on eBay

There pretty hard and skippy though, I wouldn't use them unless you put some extra rubber on them

		Re: Bruiser II
Ah, yes. I came >this< close to getting those a while ago. They look perfect! Luckily I read somewhere that they're not ideal, hard and more plasticy (that a word?) than rubbery. Should make them better to screw into though, so not all is lost...

I am looking forward to this build. :)
